Hurts is running for first downs because he can't throw reliably.

You’re just being an Alabama homer.

Well seeing as how I'm from there and went to school there is homer really an insult?

I don't need to go back and watch. I'm sure I will but I don't need to. Hurts is not the guy. I think we've seen enough at this point to know that.

I disagree.

I said it with my first post in todays game thread, that it was worried that the coaching staff would try to be too clever and get away from what has worked the past few weeks, and that’s what they did. I’m neither a jalen hurts apologists nor a hater, I think he’s got massive up side when running the ball, but we went away from it and we saw the results. Jalen hurts can throw the football but only to a point. I’m also confused as to why Dallas Goedert was not used more today because he’s a good player and compared to reagor could have caught the ball.

What annoys me the most is how we made things way more difficult then they should’ve have been.

The Giants know that Smith and Goedert are Hurts' favorite targets.  So they did a good job of taking them away.

That's why you saw a ton of passes to Reagor.  The Giants, correctly so, weren't afraid of him.

What if Siri wants to keep Hurts? That’s something to be concerned about, hopefully that not the case

Welcome to the club buddy! I knew you'd see the light lol.

Look. Sit down tomorrow and watch the highlights. Take a piece of paper and a pen and mark a + for every throw that should‘ve been caught or was caught and a - for each bad throw. Then we talk again.

Several should have been caught, a couple were very good catches in coverage, and 2 redzone INTs were awful decisions and worse throws

Bryce Young isn't anything close to a running QB. He's almost strictly a passing QB. When he moves, he does a really good job of keeping his eyes downfield and making good throws. He'll be one of the best QBs, maybe the best QB, in 2023's draft class. Calling him a gadget QB shows you haven't actually watched him play.

Agreed

There's no way that a rational person believes anything Infam is saying, so he's clearly trolling. At one point we ran like 10 times in a row (according to the broadcasters), teams with real QBs don't do that

It‘s a team game. Hurts is putting it on his shoulders running for first downs when nothing is there, but there is only so much one guy can do.

They ran more than they passed

If people catch perfectly thrown balls, these stats look like he is Aaron f—ing Rodgers. Just shows stats without context mean nothing.

I'm as big a statistical context person as anyone in this blog, but no amount of statistics juggling based on context will change the fact that for substantial portions of the game Hurts was almost always off target in his throws.  Some of his completions were due to outstanding adjustments to poorly thrown balls by Hurts.  He very clearly had a bad game.

What a beautiful pass Rodgers delivered to Adams

I still want him to succeed I really do. I think he seems like a great kid and a great leader. But he's just not got it. What we saw the last few weeks was not going to be sustainable. It may have been enough, it may still be enough, to make the play offs this year. But it isn't enough to be a top team for years to come.

Oh, yeah....Boston Scott fumbled in a big spot.

There was a whole lot of WTF before Reagor showed up at the end.

I just dont like rogers, but man he's good

He has a place in this league. Not as a QB.

Rodgers throws are just a thing of beauty

Watching the Rams and Packers. We are light years away from these teams.

By how much though ?

I don't hate Hurts but I don't think he's an NFL starting QB.  Last week, the only other game I watched had Justin Herbert.  This week, Rodgers.  Granted Rodgers is an all-timer and Herbert is special but the difference is night and day when it comes to how they see the field and make throws compared to Hurts.

If he was five or six years younger I'd give up all my firsts for him.
