Did the eagles need the Vikings or 49ers to lose today to help out?

the only thing the eagles need to worry about is getting spanked by the jets next

If they lose to the Jets they should just start the tank

The Giants know that Smith and Goedert are Hurts' favorite targets.  So they did a good job of taking them away.

That's why you saw a ton of passes to Reagor.  The Giants, correctly so, weren't afraid of him.

Sirianni said they didn’t do anything specifically to take them out of the game. Hurts just didn’t go to them.

Our offense functions best when our quarterback isn’t throwing the football.

The notion of building around said quarterback given the fact above…makes my head want to explode.

For those who want to continue with Hurts…honestly…what is your malfunction?  Do you not like the forward pass?  Do you have some belief that the future of the NFL lies in the running game with a hybrid rb/qb like 1990’s Kordell Stewart?  Do you like finishing in third place with an offense that tramples 2-3 teams per year on the ground while losing every single high scoring affair and having no shot on third and long or comeback situations?

Let’s stop arguing about Hurts and start arguing about exactly what you want from this offense.

It's actually amazing how much winning the Super Bowl has eased a lot of pain going forward. I was never one of those, "win one and I'll never complain again" people, but I really just don't get angry at this team right now. I've just lost any sense of confidence in this ever being 2017 good again.

The Jets should be a "vintage” effort.  Hurts 10-15 for 125 yards, 88 yards rushing with 2 TDs, Howard/Sanders/Scott combining for >100 yards and a TD or 2.

The Jets offense won’t put points on the board to knock our fragile offense off track.  And their defense won’t stop the physical run game.

Oddly enough, as much as I've talked about being apathetic towards this team, I don't want them breaking their unbeaten record against the Jets lol.

A QB who can hit a couple check downs to Gainwell on the 2 minute drill and call it a great comeback attempt

if you told me the giants would only score 13 i would have said we were going to kill them , poop happens like our offense.

Brady's career is made on hitting RBs on checkdowns and seam routes to TEs.

How many TE seam routes have we hit on?

Let's go Flyers. I need at least one Philly win this weekend.

Not enough. The lack of middle of the field throws is easily the biggest problem on offense.

It eased the pain for me. We finally got the monkey off the back and won one. I've found the last 2 years funny instead of being angry

Yeahhh, not the same. Those are freebies to Gainwell against a prevent defense. Brady makes good reads and knows where to go with the ball right away. Brady can do it all as a passer anyway. There was a time from like 2012-2013 where Brady was in love with the short passing game, but since then he chucks it all over the field. Easily one of the best pure throwers in the NFL.

Agreed.

Speaking of TE, when does our secret weapon Tyree Jackson make a play?
