Aside from the Patriots…

my god can you imagine a Bucs/Pats super bowl. I couldn’t imagine watching any coverage

I’d really like to see what the pats look like against the bills and chiefs. They were good today (and the last 7 weeks) but the titans are without Henry, AJ brown and julio. They aren’t remotely close to the team they are expected to be. I think the two most talented teams are Buffalo and KC

i kind of think the cardinals (if Murray is healthy) and packers are the two best nfc teams. Packers are gonna get guys back on defense later in the year.

Eagles today

31 pass ATT

33 Rushing ATT….

8 of those passes came at the very end of the game.

I can’t imagine anyone seriously making the argument there’s nothing wrong with being one dimensional in the NFL

Seriously, it’s as bad as the media saying "Hurts is the starter next year, and he’s improved so much”.  They can’t be a 70/30 run to pass team, eventually you’ll get a team that slows down the run, and you get what happened today.  Hurts was inconsistent because he hasn’t been asked to throw for 4 games, and the receivers he threw too weren’t ready because they haven’t had to be in 4 weeks.

I’d argue reagor wasn’t ready cause he’s inconsistent and loses focus/concentration. I had hope for reagor but arguably he’s not improving he’s staying the same and frankly mentally (and by that i mean letting outside things get in his head) getting worse

What a play by Lamar Jackson.

What's Foles up to these days?

Would hope the Pats win.  Can't stand Brady.

Right Baldy, next time we'll throw the ball literally 0 times to prevent Hurts from throwing interceptions.

Man, Hurts is down to a 60.1% completion percentage; he can’t finish the season below 60% again, can he?

So you can't hit the QB anymore. Got it. Fing stupid.

I gotta hand it to the Hurts Humpers. A 17 QB rating is hard to defend. But they are giving it their all. You want to blame Reagor for losing this game. I mean he's a good scape goat because he does indeed suck. BUT if Hurts doesn't throw one of the stupidest INT I had ever seen at the half we would have been kicking a FG to send it into ot. And that was just one of his ints.

Do throwaways mean nothing to you?!?

He might be the starter by default. There is no one really worth drafting. I really hope Minshew gets a chance this year. Need to see.

Reagor was just a bad pick, when you draft someone in the first round they have to be vetted like a politician.  If the Eagles knew he had issues catching passes, running routes, and keeping concentration, (which is in his scouting report) then you get what the Eagles got today.  Reagor is what he is.
When did Greg Ward become Gregg Gross?.,, you may too young for that comparison, but only using him on the same TD play once every 5-6 games isn’t gonna work. Wr’s aren’t pinch hitters, they need some consistency.

Unreal.  It’s like we don’t know what we are doing.

He can throw the ball 60 yards.   And his stats are better than Wentz and McNabb in their first 16 games.  So there.   Did I mention he can throw the ball 60 yards?

Don’t forget, he’s almost equal to Lamar Jackson’s stats through 14 games.

There aren’t any slam dunk QB prospects.  There are QBs in the draft better than Hurts, though

No i know Greg gross. Frankly ward is a 4-5 wr on most teams. I like him in that role but really he isn’t used more cause I’m guessing they rather give young guys more snaps and chance to develop then ward who they don’t see a long term future with (frankly JJAW and reagor really don’t with how they’ve played either). The issue is Watkins is a no. 3 wr. And smith is borderline 1-2. They need another complimentary receiver with smith. I fully believe the eagles sign a veteran WR in free agency this offseason. I’d say draft one but really i think they’d prefer to get a veteran in there.

Strong, Pickett, and Corral for starters.

I think there are better QBs on the current roster than Hurts. But if he didn't get benched for that crap show today I don't think we will find out.

I would also ask how many years is there quarterbacks out there can you say there are surefire quarterbacks that are going to be great? When Josh Allen came out people did not like him. He wound up being a top 10 quarterback. There was a lot of people for baker mayfield when he went first and he’s not close to that draft selection. it wasn’t unanimous with Patrick Mahomes when he came out. People loved his arm but there was doubt he could adjust to the nfl? Why he fell to ten. There were people that question DeShaun watson after his last year at Clemson because he had a lot of turnovers that year even though he did what he did against Alabama. The year we drafted Carson Wentz and Jared Goff went number one people didn’t think that draft class was near as good as compared to the year before with Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. I’d argue both have had better careers then the 2015 draft class

my point in all this is if the Eagles identify a quarterback in the draft that they truly love and truly believe can be a franchise quarterback then they should go and get that kid. Regardless of what any of us think about this draft class. And that means they have to identify that they think this is the best they’re going to get out of hurts and they don’t see him as being the guy going forward. I have no clue how they feel about him but if they have doubts that they should be interested in finding out about every available possible quarterback which feels that’s what they were doing all offseason and up til the deadline.

Carson Strong.  The key is where he goes in the draft.  I think he’s a great prospect for late round 1 through 3rd round.  You make an investment,  but it’s not a big deal to move on early if you aren’t in love.  He’s got the tools, level of competition is a major concern but that’s what gives you the chance to get him for less.

I was dumbstruck when that pick was announced. I thought we had Jefferson. He fell right into our lap. And Howie took a pass.......

I’m not big on Corral, wouldn’t want him — but the other two are better prospects for sure. People want to conveniently forget that Hurts had a 3rd round grade on him when the Eagles drafted him.

Hurts won’t be this bad every week.  He also won’t get this much leash every week.  By leash, I don’t mean benching…just 12 passes in a game, mostly screens.  So he’s not going to have this kind of opportunity to look like this every week.

I don’t think he’ll get benched at any point for any reason this year.
