Yup, Im not Interested in any if the vet qbs in FA or via trade and I'm not sure any if the qbs in this draft are worthy of a 1st round pick though a few will go in the first just because they are qbs.

Hopefully Howie stays away and builds the rest of the team instead and then explores his qb options in 2023

I’m not interested in any of the older QBs either.  I don’t think it’s wise to part with high picks for QBs that don’t have much shelf life left.  They won’t all last as long as Brady.  It’s a safer bet to say none of them will.

I don’t know about the QB class for the next draft, but I don’t think others really do either.  There could be one or two guys that will prove to be great picks.  Fact of the matter is we don’t know.  What really worries me is Howie’s ability to use these picks either way (Qb or other positions).  It’s looking more and more likely that he will have 3 firsts.  That’s exciting and scary at the same time.

-- Disappointed in the offensive gameplan. One of the worst rush defenses in the league and you come out passing? What.

-- I'll continue to say it: a downhill, physical back is one of the easiest things to find in the offseason and one the most important. The Eagles win this game today with Jordan Howard.

This narrative that the Eagles were pass heavy early is ridiculous.  They had 15 runs and 16 passes in the first half.

Not taking away from how bad the Eagles passing game was, Jalen hurts ugly day with decision making and reagor continuing to disappoint but the Giants defense for the last five weeks has not been bad at all. They gave up 30 against Tampa Bay on Monday but if it wasn’t for Daniel Jones being an idiot and giving Tampa Bay 2 drives starting in field-goal range it wouldn’t have looked as bad in the box score. the defense wasn’t nearly as bad against the quality of an opponent as the overall points suggested. Over the last five weeks the Giants defense is giving up just 15.2 ppg. And last 3 home games it’s even better 8.7 ppg.

that said hurts and the offense was horrible today. Their turnovers killed them in this game. Reagor dropping balls and hurts making bad decisions with the ball really hurt. The defense played well enough to win this game and likely deserved much better than what they got. However 2 areas i was disappointed in. the defense getting no turnovers against Daniel Jones. Also against one of the worst olines in the league they had 1 sack and 5 QB hits. I thought the defensive line should’ve had a field day against that oline.

The Giants draft better players on defense than the Eagles do.  They value LB.  They love long, lean, athletic defenders who can be headaches.  Might not always be the most disciplined players but they draft guys who get after the QB and know how to make a play on the ball.

I keep seeing that Jalen Hurts has shown he's the franchise and he's "clearly shown that he's improving as a passer". Let's take a look:

His completion percentage is higher. From 52% to 60%

His TD% is lower.

His yards per attempt are lower.

His air yards per attempt are lower.

His INT% is virtually the same.

His QBR is very slightly better.

You know what stats that our quarterback has shown improvement on? Running the football. That and he's taking less sacks as a result of running more frequently. His fumbles have gotten better as well.

Having said that, as a passer, virtually no growth this year despite having better (albeit not by much) weapons, a vastly improved OL, a weak schedule and a running game that's getting him 200+ on the ground weekly.

He has only thrown the ball more than 200 yards once since the beginning of October.

He's not the answer. Never has been. Never will be.

What’s the point of even having WRs if we can’t throw the football really at all? I understand that two of these haven’t worked out, but we’ve drafted two in the first round and one in the second, in the last three years. For what? It’s sickening to watch what’s going on with this offense. It’s great that we can run the ball effectively. But you move up to draft Devonta Smith because he runs routes and gets open. Not to run block. Our OL doesn’t need a running QB to block well. They do that anyway. If we’re gonna have a **** QB, I’d rather have one with a noodle arm who can at least get the ball out quick and utilize the strengths of our best skill position player.

But they won’t bench Hurts. It’s a pride thing for the FO. And they’ll keep him as a backup so they don’t want to F with his head. But can they really pretend that this is what’s honestly best for the team? They tried. They see it’s not working. Let your pass catchers try to develop, at least. Right now we’re just calling plays to the strengths of what we have.. knowing that it’s not gonna be a long term viable option. Why? What does that solve in the long term? Nothing. Yeah, we have a running QB now.. so we call plays for that. But how does that help us? I just think it’s a waste of time.

Been saying this for weeks.  It's why looking back now, Micah Parsons was the right pick for the Eagles. Trading up to draft a WR when you have huge questions at QB is bad roster management.  WR production is 100% dependent on who is throwing the ball.  When you can't throw the ball, your 1st round pick becomes irrelevant.

The fear was the Giants were going to take Smith so the Eagles leapfrogged them.  Would he have made the Giants any better today with Daniel Jones at QB?

Yesterday, the WR they traded 2 picks to the Cowboys for and the TE they just made the 2nd highest paid in the league had 3 catches.

Im thoroughly embarrassed to be an Eagles fan this morning

I cant believe they ish their pants against the totally incompetent Giants with a shot at a meaningful season on the line

Now Im pissed I even gave Hurts a shot, pissed the Eagles forced me to give him a shot, pissed we have to continue to pretend he's our franchise QB because Howie and Lurie are f'ing stupid, and have basically no interest in Eagles football until the draft.

The mere fact that Hurts will finish out this utter waste of a season makes my blood boil, so Im just checking out as a fan

good morning, you up early still trolling I see, hope you have a nice day

not until we get a qb who can actually do that

Well everyone said it was an evaluation year for Hurts … gotta at least let him throw on occasion with the training wheels still on.

Boston Scott as the leading RB is still so head scratching to me.  Also think Marcus Epps deserves more defensive snaps.

If you only needed 5 yards for a 1st down and the field was only 50 yards long, and maybe 15 yards narrower, Hurts would be a fine QB.

Also worth noting:

We keep hearing how great Hurts plays with the game on the line and has ice in his veins. Here's a big divisional game that gets us to .500 and in a great spot for making the playoffs and he went and wet his pants.

Only thing Hurts has in his veins is suckage @MeccaDon123

Hurts has a better chance at succeeding in the CFL

To be fair if Reagor catches passes we probably score.

It’s time to just cut Reagor. He shouldn’t even be on the field in those or any situations.

We maybe score, but wouldn't have even needed a TD (or even a score) had it not been for his play 99.9% of that game.

I agree

Like I said last week

Howard > Gainwell > Sanders > Scott

But this is the year of the charade, where we have to play pretend just because we made mistakes in the draft or FA years ago, like pretending Hurts is a legit QB prospect, like Barnett and Sweat are starting caliber, like Singleton is a captain and a legit LB, like Sanders is a Pro Bowl caliber player, like JJAW is a football receiver....

This needs to be an offseason of reckoning, in a major way

The sets of downs that stalled out seemingly all started with a pass.

And they stalled because Hurts blows. He was off target on almost every pass, even the catches.

Sanders got dinged after the long run in the 3Q, I’d think that would have something to do with the snap count favoring the Giant Slayer.

Smith was wide open on that last play. Hurts didn't see him because he sucks and doesn't go through his progressions

I know, I'd just like to see more Gainwell.

Now the new narrative is that it's not Hurts' fault. He doesn't have help.

Well, Smith is open constantly.

Goedert I have been told is one of the best TEs in football.

Watkins is a solid piece, albeit nothing crazy.

He has a crazy good offensive line and a running game that's netting him 200+ on the ground weekly.

How much more help does he need?
