Oh... so he's a rookie again.   And now he's only making like his 6th start or so?

Gotta throw yesterdays game out too. Can only evaluate Hurts based on the Lions, Broncos and Saints games.

Will it be this bad , again, next year

If Howie is still here and Hurts is the starter then yes

This will never happen, but I'd like to see Hurts play against the Jets, and then, during the bye week, let's get Minshew in there. I want to see what NS can do with a different QB. The more I watch the play designs, the more I like what I see.

I doubt it happens as well. I’d love to see Nicks offensive with a different QB. He’s scheming guys open

Ok, and now you have no idea how trade or negotiations work.

Keep digging that hole.

Brah  a conditional 1 lmao

I don't agree with the bolded. I buy the report that Howie sold Sirianni during the interview phase that Wentz would be here. Sirianni and Steichen both said they spoke to him and tried to sell it to him to stay. But it was too little too late by then for Wentz. Sirianni and Steichen both said on record they have no experience with a RPO offense. The type of offense they wanted to run suits Wentz, it doesn't fit Hurts at all.

Which also explains why it took so long for them to switch to a heavy RPO and RO attack, and why they are so quick to revert to passing the ball at a higher level.

Not a fan of the single wing for the NFL.  It can work for a while, but eventually it gets figured out and then it comes down to supreme athleticism to do everything 'wrong' and still get a positive outcome, like what we saw from Lamar Jackson on the late touchdown against the Browns.  He just ran around, bought time, threw across the middle of the field late, had his hand hit as he released the ball... and somehow managed to complete the pass for a TD.   There was literally nothing good on that play for a coach to point to and say, 'do this again'... but the result was positive.  But, eventually those plays go against you and you end up losing in the playoffs... usually in the first matchup.

That will happen when you let the ball go through your hands and hit you in the face!

I'm guessing his eyes were closed before the ball hit the face mask.

Wentz is so good we got a conditional 1 for his excellence with no other competition to at least make it a full 1.

They already got a 3rd round pick in last year's draft.

This angle. Big oof.

Tough loss but I'll admit with it being a Defensive battle, Strahan's energy was definitely in the building.   The Eagles Offense had scored 21 points or more for 9 straight games.  The Giants Loss is the lowest points of the year and the lowest since week 2 against 49ers (11 points).   With that said, The Eagles easily left 21 points off the board from mistakes.   Again we still put 200 on the ground and out gained them in total yards.   Even with 4 turnovers the game was still there to be won.    This game was more about Offensive mistakes.    I think we do have a strong offense but our WR corps is young and still growing.   I think we bounce back next week against the Jets and go into the bye on a high note.    As for the playoffs, we dropped 2 spots to #10 and are still only .5 games out of the Wildcard.    We fall back to 2.5 Back of Dallas in the Division.

Not Hurts' fault... it was to his left.

So I dropped the ball on the predictions this week and screwed some of them up. You gotta take the heat...this is for me to take ownership. It was uncharacteristic of me to have those drops. I gotta put myself in a better position to succeed.

We should make a trophy like The Heisman but the complete opposite. Call it The Reagor. This is the perfect pose for the trophy.

He was trying to entertain the crowd like when Jordan shot those free throws with his eyes closed...😁

Probably and to be fair the DB is also tackling reagor before the ball got there, should have been DPI, refs were pretty bad yesterday.

It looks like every time Smith runs that route, he's open. But it's to Hurts left, so......

I liked the refs with the exception of the Nelson DPI. That shouldn't have been called if they were pocketing all the other stuff.

Here’s the issue, the giants offense sucks which allowed the eagles to hang around in that game and the eagles defense tends to play much better against bad to mediocre QBs. So they were able to still run the ball up until the last drive of the game. Against playoff caliber teams and better opponents you likely aren’t staying in that game with the amount of turnovers we had and mistakes we had.

In a game let’s say against the Bucs, their offense isn’t going to barely score 13 points. So if you are going to be a run first team and minimize your passing game then you have to play mistake free football. Cause against better teams and offenses you are shortening the game and amount of possessions you are going to have. Have to basically be perfect or close to it because if you turn it over 4 times you don’t have enough possessions to catch up and make up for it as you need to run the ball to be most effective. Additionally you are going to find yourself down a lot more than one possession because those teams score on offense. So either have to be turnover free or you are going to have to come out of running the ball earlier and begin to throw which if (in this moment in time) the eagles have to do that against better teams and QBs in the league they aren’t winning.

He won’t throw it so why waste a defender?

It's a pile of reasons and mistakes. Some of it being Wentz, he's not totally innocent here. But it's mostly Howie/Lurie. They undermined the HC, made him fire the coaches he wanted a day after saying to the media they were staying, and then brought in a clown car of 10 different guys who all wanted to do different things which led to a ish offense with no identity, during a pandemic with no offseason to do anything. Then pulled their crap in the draft.

I'm kind of late to jump on this, but what ticked me off the most is they made Doug lose a game for draft positioning and then fired him.

Scott is the damning one to me. It's early in the game, throw it to him in the flat and he's one on one for at least a first down.

They weren't winning that game anyway; it was 20-14 WFT when Hurts was pulled and he was 7-for-20 to that point.

People think the Eagles tanked that game -- they didn't.

Ginats in 7 man protection and we trying to force throws with Hurts, instead of running the ball?

plain stupidity.
