I'd take this guy over Reagor

I don’t think that’s what we need. We need someone who can win 50/50 balls.

We need a Pac12 WR

Jesus just put in Minshew and magically Quez and Devonta will be more than enough.  Both of those guys were ready to ball yesterday but couldnt because we have to run a 1950s offense

Probably and to be fair the DB is also tackling reagor before the ball got there, should have been DPI, refs were pretty bad yesterday.

That picture was taken after the ball bounced off his face... so the contact there looks like it was just fine.

I haven't been posting much, just trying to assess this team without all the "noise"...  first, I have to say that I've been pretty impressed with the improvement both Sirianni and Gannon have shown the last several weeks...  as for Hurts, unless he shows some very serious improvement from the pocket over the next five games, you have to take a serious look at finding the next QB...  which brings us to the second problem...  Howie Roseman...  this next draft is a nearly unprecedented opportunity to quickly turn this team around...  I simply do not trust him at all...

Good to see you.  Draft Day 2022 is going to be something; normally we only have to get upset at the one player Howie takes in Round 1 -- we're going to get 3 chances for the price of one.

Agholor is still so disrespected. Guy went for 9 for 84 in the Super Bowl. He was a 1st down machine. He just folded when he had to be THE guy.

No.  Get one in free agency.  I am tired of wasting valuable draft picks on WR.

Im ok with that, but we have cap issues.

**Sigh**   Yeah...

The guy I’m most curious about is Quez. It’ll be interesting to see if he takes his game to the next level with a real QB

I doubt we use all 3 of those picks. A couple will be traded for a QB.

That's where I've been for a while.

Gannon is good against bad QBs... really good.   And he's bad against good QBs... really bad.   I think with better talent, we should see the latter improve, but the former should remain strong.

Sirianni has shown a willingness to adapt to his personnel recently by going with the heavy run offense.  I don't think that's what he wanted to do when he first came here either.  So, he is overcoming his preconceived ideas of what he wanted the team to be and is starting to adapt more... yesterday withstanding.

But, Hurts looks bad when asked to pass from the pocket, and that's how to win in the NFL sustainably.  He's gotta fix that, but I don't think he can.

And Howie... keep him out of the draft room.

Yeah, some people yesterday were saying that Hurts and Minshew compete for the job next year.

There's absolutely no scenario where that happens.

Either Hurts makes gigantic improvement over the next 5 games and earns another year (unlikely), or the Eagles will make a significant move (Draft or Trade) to find their next QB this off season.

They are most definitely not going to punt for another year at that position.

Just a guess here, but I think all of our recieving options would be a bit better with even Minshew throwing the ball? Maybe not?

Instead of going super rich using a 1st rounder on C in Linderbaum, what about using a late 2nd or early third on one of the other C prospects. Patterson, Lindstrom, Stromberg. All three look pretty good to me. I'm not sure how much of a drop off there is between Linderbaum whom I do like a lot, to these three, though there is some. Patterson seems to have more flexibility being able to move to guard if necessary as well...

In a perfect world the Eagles could trade Hurts before the draft for an extra draft pick.  It's likely, though, the Eagles would only be able to trade him after the draft to a team that missed out on QB.

No question they would.  I'd sacrifice Hurts running ability in a heartbeat to have a quarterback who sees the entire field and can distribute the ball to the weapons the Eagles have.

Minshew isn't the answer to anything...  "play the other guy" has been around as long as the NFL...

Plus, and I would guarantee this so strongly that I almost hope they do play Minshew so I can be proven right...  you take Hurts out, and the ground game won't look remotely as good as it has...  he may be ineffective in the pocket, stare down receivers, etc, etc... but he makes the entire running game go with the D having to pay so much attention to him...

Frankly... couldn't be worse.   Power running game with Minshew throwing play action would likely be an improvement... but they'd lose the benefit of the QB holding the DEs/LBs on certain plays.  That said, I don't think that should be a major problem.  They should still be able to make the holes work.
