Makes you feel any better, I lost by 1 point in my league. That’s the third time this year I’ve lost by a single point. Each time I lost by a point, i lost a player mid-game that contributed to me losing by a point.

That's tough man. I've been on a winning streak so I knew I was due.

Wilson's last two performances were garbage, and Heinicke was on a tear. That Logan Thomas TD reversal was a kick in the nuts lol

No.  The defense did that.  The defense that you disparaged, that kept the other team at 13... so that the game was close enough to overcome an 45 minutes of futility.

The Eagles only have lacked one thing, eh?  Seems that you need to work on the counting.

It's getting to the point where no one should even respond to this idiot. The defense kept it close, Hurts had a few bad breaks, but was also hot garbage and was extremely lucky he didn't have another 2/3 passes picked off. He was terrible.

But he almost put up 14 points against a defense missing a chunk of players! In a big game! What a hero.

Reagor is quickly becoming my least favorite Eagle of all time. Joining the likes of Jason Babin, Cary Williams, and Frank Gore.

Frank Gore?

I think you mean DeMarco Murray

Highest paid coach , damn and LSU still owes 25 million to the last HC

According to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, Kelly’s deal with LSU will give him a salary "in the $15 million range.”

edit highest paid football coach , period

If that annual salary turns out to be true, Kelly would become the highest-paid coach in not just college football, but also in the NFL. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was reported in 2018 by ProFootballTalk to have earned an annual salary of $12.5 million.

Love him or hate him , Belichick can coach

At least Babin was productive.

Reagor is getting up there with me, but Nnamdi Asomugha is my #1. I can't even watch his wife in movies/TV, because I'm still upset he stole money for 2 years.

Babin was only productive as it benefitted him.  I'd rather have a guy like Brandon Whiting at DE than Babin 100 out of 100 times.

He's in a world of hurt going to the SEC. No Army, Navy or Air Force in the SEC lol. No hand picked ACC cupcakes.

Not to mention you can argue it's easier/better recruiting for Notre Dame.

Let’s not forget easier academic requirements

Brian Kelley wouldn't even the best coach in the SEC. You could make an argument there are 2-3 that are better than him. You have Texas and OU coming into the fold in the SEC in s few years, going to be very interesting to see how the recruiting shakes out.

Hurts being out on Sunday would be an interesting test case for how the WRs/TEs perform without a QB whose first instinct is to run.

Not to run, of course.  I think Hurts will start, get dinged again, and then we'll get to see why Minshew was available for a 6th rounder.  The advantage Minshew would have is the Jets D having to switch midgame scheme

PSU does very well recruiting  , 5th best class this year , ND number 4

Franklin isn’t the best coach , but he and his staff can recruit

On limited research, it looks like Minshew is no better at going through progressions that Hurts.  But I suspect the OL in pass pro would have a better time of it

Just watching Hurts throws on those INTs; man  the ball was wobbling through the air like crazy.  Zero spiral on those throws whatsoever

Cold + windy + weak/inaccurate arm + running QB = bad passes

Yup. I didn't realise how wobbly those ducks were until now.  Doesn't help when trying to pass accurately does it?

The janitor?

I was thinking about Hurts last night and something struck me. Whenever he has a completely clean pocket, I get anxious. That anxiety grows the longer he stays in the pocket waiting to make a throw. As soon as I see him wind up, I begin shaking my head because most likely something bad is about to happen. This is the direct opposite of what I should be feeling when my QB is given more than 4 seconds and a perfectly clean pocket to throw from. Usually that results in a big play or a wide open receiver for an easy pitch and catch. It's really alarming.

That's because when he gets a clean pocket for too long, it means that he is late on the initial read(s) and is confused.  Then, he starts moving around and drifting.  Then comes the late throw.  He has no ability to stay in rhythm on a consistent basis and that is not winning QB play.  You can bet your paycheck that Siri wants that ball out of his hands on time, too.

He makes me nervous on every single pass play - clean pocket or not.

Don't forget when he then starts to spin around like a top. It's embarrassing.

Even the last throw to Reagor, he floated it.  He needed to put zip on that throw and he aimed it instead.  It got where it needed to be, but this is the issue I have with Hurts throwing to the intermediate and deep middle.
