No worries, we'd have no shot with one of the grandfathers...   having a QB isn't a magic pill... ask Dolphins' fans from the 80's/90's.

Dude- I have lived through some very very lean years at QB, The Rodney Peetes, Bubby Bristers, The Detmer Brothers, Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford, JIm McMahon, Jeff Kemp, Brad Goebel, Ken Obrien, Bobby Hoying, AJ Feeley, Mark Snachez.......

Wentz and McNabb were really they only two good QB's we had that were true francvhise QB types.

Not interested in going through that level of pain again for years on end. Hurts is bad enough.

We have a RARE  opportunity to go after a proven Franchise QB, you HAVE TO try to get one.

I would gladly trade your testicles also!

Is Hargrave still here?

He's gone MIA for a few weeks. Strange because for a few weeks he was at the top of the league for DTs

Stop gap QBs I would add.  Mitch Trubisky, Jimmy Garoppolo, Tyrod Taylor, Mason Rudolph, Derek Carr, Easton Stick, Drew Lock, Case Keenum.

Nothing exciting but I think any of those QB could be acquired and would be a good bridge QB until there is one available in the draft.

The advantage of that list is that it wouldn't take nearly as many 1st round draft picks to get them. How much of an upgrade would they be over what Jalen Hurts is likely to bring to the table next year?

Really don't think we can rely on Driscoll next year as a starter. He can be the 6th OL.

What is the highest number of consecutive games for which Driscoll has been active? There's no reason to push him off the team, necessarily, but I'm hoping he is not in the team's top 8 lineman next summer. Too often unavailable.

With him actually playing, 4

So it's been decided:

Cox, Brooks, Sanders, Danny Watkins, Reagor, Hurts, afan, RTK, infam and a 1st for Wilson.

Highway robbery.

And you know what... that's a huge overpay on our part.

Not so sure. Afan, RTK and infam all carry a value so negative it about evens out.

I don’t think we get Wilson without giving up 2 firsts, a 2nd, and Hurts. Even that may not be enough imo. He’s an elite QB with more than a few of those years still left.

So we get to keep Hurts workout film crew?

I still don't think he'd want to come here. We may have a better Oline but I don't think that'd be enough

And even then I still wouldn't.

Since Wilson is the hot topic right now, here's this again:

I can smell her coffee breath from here.  What a scary face she has.  He dodged a bullet.

For the record, I want no part of Wilson unless he comes cheap, for whatever reason. If we use all three firsts for him I'm going to have to kill Howie Roseman myself.

Wait till you realize Howie will have to trade 3 first rounders PLUS more picks/players to get Wilson. Which he will.

I think Hurts is better than Trubisky, Taylor, Rudolph, Stick, Lock, or Keenum.  I wouldn't have interest in any of those guys; the Eagles would be better off identifying a QB through the draft.

None of them are world beaters but I think all of them would spread the ball around to the Eagles WR better than Hurts does by a long shot.

AJ Feeley and Mark Snatchez don't count because they were backups.  Jim McMahon would have probably gotten the Eagles to the playoffs in 1991 but for his injuries.  You're forgetting Pat Ryan.

Driscoll, Brooks and Seumalo are all big question marks for next season.  I would think Brooks would be gone but who knows.

Would you consider Cox/Hurts/1st for Wilson?

Trading Cox pre-June 1 means that they have to take a $40M cap hit (an extra $25M above his 2022 number), or restructure it before the trade, but don't know how they'd do that.

I look at QB as the facilitator to the rest of the weapons on offense.  Hurts doesn't see the whole field and we may never know how good some of these guys are if he can't get them the ball.  I'd rather have a mediocre QB who at least tries to spread the ball around and can push the ball downfield than having a 1 read QB who runs the ball 15 times a game.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 32, Jets 16

Bounce back game for Hurts.  He will power the Eagles offense through the Jets defense the way no other QB (every other QB) has.

Bold predictions:

-- Eagles defense with 2+ INT

-- More than 8 posters will become apoplectic when AFan points out that Hurts puts up a better stat line than Zach Wilson and quote him, pointing out that Daniel Jones easily outplayed Hurts just this past week.
