I would spend our final 1st round pick on Carson Strong in the 20's.

Massive arm talent...yet also has consistent, repeatable sound mechanics and decision making.  In a lousy QB draft...when someone with that profile could be available 20's-30's...why would you not take a shot?

Doubt they sit Jalen this Sunday due to injury since they haven't signed a QB to backup Minshew of that's how it plays out.

Then Jalen should be backup QB/backup RB

Why would a 33 year old celebrity QB want to come to a low-talent team with unproven weapons, an unproven coaching staff, an inpatient fan base, established ownership/management/coaching interaction problems, in a crappy city?

If he can veto, he's going to veto the Eagles.

That take is going to be as popular as a particularly fragrant fart in church but I think you may be right.

Honestly, with our young and improving Oline, Goedert and Smith vs what he is dealing with? He probably thinks our offensive pieces are an upgrade over his current teammates. He has to look at Hurts like we do and wonder wtf is he doing, god I could do so much better...

This would make me happy.

Our receivers are an upgrade over DK and Lockett?

Fair point, but Our Oline is, Goedert is. Smith ? Maybe in time.   RBs?

And why would a franchise with an extremely young coaching staff with an extremely young nucleus of talent that isn't ready to compete yet want to burn necessary rebuilding resources on a 33 year old QB?  It is such a predictable failure.  This is Brett Favre to the Jets, Mcnabb to the Redskins, etc.  He makes a non-competitive team marginally better while making our future prospects worse.  And we waste the remaining high end years he has left.

The last paragraph is what we all need to be asking and what Howie/Lurie better have a GREAT explanation for.

I think rodgers comes down to what happens in the playoffs tbh. If the Packers come short of making the Super Bowl I think Aaron Rodgers wants out.  I say that because I think he likely looks at the Rams and says well that team even though they likely didn’t win it but at least made the effort to go all in knowing what their timeline is. The Packers have known they’ve been close how many years Aaron Rodgers has left. And they still don’t go all in to make sure they get themselves over the top. There were moved they could have made to really put themselves over the top. Frankly I thought they should tried to trade for Zach Ertz when he became available. Because I don’t think Tonyan is anything special and Zach Ertz could’ve made that offense even more dynamic. I think Denver makes the most sense for him if he asks out.

He'd have a better team and a better chance at a SB in GB.  I don't think in Denver under Fangio that Rodgers would come close to a SB.

Rodgers wants out of GB. Has zero to do with what GB wants.

If things go really well this season that might not be the case.

Remember the talk all offseason was he wanted out and he didn't want to play for GB again.  Well, that didn't happen.

Excitement/hype/marketability.  That wouldn't be a unique Howie/Lurie problem.  Last year was a disaster.  This year began with zero optimism to compete.  Next year will begin with zero optimism to compete, unless they make a big move for a big name QB.

Are we under the assumption fangio is still the head coach? I’m not sure that’s the case of the broncos falter down the stretch.

Id also argue that Denver has a defense as good as GB. Sutton, fant, jeudy, javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon and hamler is a pretty good team. The packers are about to be $39 mil over the cap. Broncos have 13 mil in cap rolling over and currently 47 mil under in 2022. So even if they acquire rodgers they can spend to add.

i think the division makes it tougher for him to win. But i think the weapons he’d have and defense in Denver is nearly as good as GB. I’d argue more depth to their weapons.

Who? Is it some sudfeld type they signed off of someone's practice squad?

Reid Sinnett, claimed on waivers

Definitely not. However our offensive line is a massive upgrade to Seattle’s where he gets beat up routinely. I’d add goedert is better than Everett. Also with Carson’s current neck issue I’d take sanders, gainwell and Howard over the seattle RBs

I'd guess Wilson's preferred spots would be New York, Atlanta, Vegas, or Philly. Philly is close enough to NY and easily has the best OL of that group. Don't think the no trade clause is an issue.

The real question is whether trading major assets for a 33-year-old QB is a good idea. I have major reservations because I don't see a QB with Wilson's style aging as well as Brady. So you're trading a bunch of valuable assets for, what, maybe 3-5 years of elite QB play?

I expect Seattle to come to their senses and give Wilson what he wants. Trading him would be so idiotic.

Manning was a shell in Denver.

Which is why I believe defense is potentially more important than a QB.

I do like hype.

He had that mirage of a regular season where he 'lit the world on fire' throwing 5 yard passes with some insane YAC.  Then wilted in the playoffs...like usual for him.

Maybe but I don't see it.

They have a great team in GB and he hasn't got back to a SB in 11 years.

Not sure he could just go to Denver and all the sudden get them to a SB.  Maybe he could?

Strong takes too many sacks  , he won’t out maneuver the rush , if it isn’t open he is as likely to take the sack as he is to throw it away , good for a cpl sacks every game  , I understand it’s not all on him  but throw it away , again he is not out running anybody

I like the idea of going heavy on D.  I'd rather have a DE than CB with the first pick depending on who's sitting there.  Yes, I want CB but Slay and Nelson have been more than OK this year and if they can bring Nelson back on a 1-yr deal they could get by with them as the starters again.  They have next to nothing at DE however.

i crushed this

I'm not sure what the sweet spot is going to be after Hutch and Thibo come off the board.  I want no part of Barnett 2.0, the Purdue Karlaftisitis or whatever.  We need edge rushers.

Did anyone post this? sad.

I think a major reason why he was upset besides just being mad that their GM for other things is the fact Jordan love’s pick could’ve been used to add a piece that got them over the top last year when he is closer to the end of his career. Instead they took a QB that didn’t help them at all last year and came up short against tampa bay.

i see Denver willing to make that deal and then still try to acquire talent to add. Add on i think rodgers fiancé doesn’t really want to be in GB. She’s crazy and been reports she and rodgers prefer Vegas or Denver or somewhere on the west coast.
