Cousins is having a very quiet good year. I had no idea he had 23TDs and only 3 INTs

He was 35-13 last year with a 105 passer rating too. He's very underrated.

So the answer is that Hurts shouldn't throw balls that allow his guys to make plays. Don't throw to an open Scott on the goal line because he might fall down. Don't throw to Reagor because he might not be able to fall forward six inches. In other words, only throw to Smith or Goedert when they are wide open and never progress to another read, since anyone else is incapable of making a play.

Sounds good coach. Let's go win a Super Bowl with your plan!!!

I didn't realize Hurts was married.

That, or replace the QB might work even better ……

Apparently Russell Wilson really sucks too.

5 of the last 6 years statistically he’s finished top 10 in passing yards and i believe from 2016 to 2020 he was too 10 QB rating in 4 of those 5 seasons. It’s why i said a couple weeks ago if you go just based on stats he’d be top 10 QB statistically.  I’d argue this is his best season cause he’s doing it and it’s not been with the Vikings just beating up bad teams or playing from behind by 2-3 possessions every week against better teams. But when you watch the game you’ll still get crap like this

Kirk Cousins might be the greatest ''slightly above average QB'' in league history. He puts up really solid numbers every year but he also has a knack for coming up small in big games and not winning much of anything throughout his career.

When they became besties:

Howie: On the count of three, name your favorite wide receiver in this draft. Don't even think about it. Just name it. Ready? One, two, three.

Howie and Jeff:  jalen Reagor.

Jeff: favorite contract we restructured in the last 5 years?

Howie and Jeff: alshon Jeffery

Howie: If you were a GM and needed a cheap backup how would you do it?

Jeff and Howie: Draft one in the second round.

Jeff: [stomps foot] What?

Howie: Did we just become best friends?

Jeff: Yep!

[they high five each other]

Howie: Do you wanna go wreck this draft in the war room?

Jeff: Yep!

Cousins lined up under the RG by mistake on 4th and goal last Sunday.  Yes, Hurts missed his open WR1 and floated the pass to the middle of the field — but can you imagine this place if he’d accidentally lined up under RG for the last play?

And Tom Brady didn't know it was 4th down last year. Stupid $hit happens sometimes. Kirk has played some really good football for a lot of his career.

Cousins has the 5th best passer rating of all-time, tied with Drew Brees. He gets a crazy bad reputation.

He's a losing star padder who wets the bed in big games.

The thing is we don't know what NFL scouts think of Hamilton.  I think there are some talented CBs, DEs and OL that could push Hamilton down.  The other thing is that Adams doesn't look like a top 5 pick at this point.  He's got like 2 career interceptions.  He's never played to his potential.  Safety is a hard position to scout and teams may not view the risk of a top 10 pick worth the return.

I wouldn't take a Safety top 10.

Top 10 should be for QB, WR, both Lines and CB.

Yeah but how much of that is in garbage time? 🤔

This year he actually hasn’t had much cause the Vikings have had 8 of 11 games come down to the last play of the game.

Respect that you think he may be to old (I don’t), but to say he doesn’t read defenses, etc.. is nonsense. If he plays 3-7 more years he’d be worth it (depending on compensation). We could find and groom another QB in next few years (QB factory, remember).

He isn't worth it he really really isn't. He's too old and he's not a player I think that will last at an elite level due to his style. I wouldn't go near him.

We'll have to wait until the years over to see where teams end up record wise, but going into the season he was 7-35 against teams that finished the season with a winning record and 8-17 in Primetime games. He's under .500 for his career and has played with some decent teams.

I'm not saying he's the worst QB in football, but he is what he is.

Sorry if this was already posted. Skipping the blog for a bit considering the same 4-5 people keep circle jerking over Hurts ‘bad game’ every second post.

I want the Eagles to trade for Russell Wilson for one reason, and only one reason.  Just to see how #1 Howie defender afan tries to spin it.

Dude, he'll shift gears and never look back. That's Afan, love him or leave him but you won't corner him.
