MLB has lost me as a fan.  Get rid of the infield shift today, fire Manfred yesterday are the two most important steps.

There’s a lot of other things wrong but those center on how the game is played and analytics — starter going two innings, everyone swinging for home run or strikeouts, etc.

It’s become almost as boring as soccer.  Almost

As long as they don't shut down Minor League, I will be good.

They televise minor leagues for napping purposes?

Very relatable

yes, and a lot of teams(including ours) would kill for a boarder line top 10 QB.

He's Not Rodgers or Mahomes, but he's sure as f*** isnt Danny Dimes, Jimmy G or Hurts.

Cousins has left the Vikings in purgatory. Not a SB contending team and not bad enough to draft top players. For his career he's essentially .500

This "top 10 QB" has gotten a better team to a 5-6 record. We would definitely benefit from an upgrade, but I'll pass on purgatory.

Yeah, no thanks on Cousins. Might be a slight upgrade over Hurts but not good enough

I feel bad for Cousins because I do like him more than most folks do, but he's a lesson in not screwing with team chemistry.

He got paid an obscene contract (3 years, $84M with all $84M guaranteed) to take over a 13-3 Vikings team that thought they were a QB away from a championship -- that was never going to end well.  They couldn't keep the defense together and made some bad choices around their cap, but Cousins not being a "money" QB didn't help at all.

What better time to argue about the millions and millions an dhow to split it.  We're seeing prices go up all over the place and we're supposed to care about this?  I haven't watched baseball in some time, mainly because the Phils haven't been good or fun to watch but I can see the MLB losing A LOT of casual fans.

A few more thoughts on goinng after a Wislon/Rodgers type QB:

1) I have heard it said no one wants to come here, Well I disagree. Some players actually want to play in the NFC east because of all the coverage, and visibility. Way more than any other division. Even though the Division is often a dumpster fire. The games get more national attention.  Philly is not a team that is unwilling to spend the $ and actually try to win. So if actually trying to win matters? Also The Cities of NY, WASH, Philly and Dallas offer a lot outside of football for people who like to enjoy life.

2) An offshoot benefit to getting a known franchise QB: other good players will want to play with them, especially if you look like you might be able to compete. So you may get some discounts in Free agency. There are veteran players who want a chance to win a SB. And they recognize having a proven elite type QB helps you. We see this all the time.

Did something glorious happen to Twitter or is my computer just acting up.   I have NOTHING listed under the usually terrible What's Trending section.  No ridiculous hash tags, biased fact checking, unbearable celebrity news or anything else.  It's empty.

Possibly, it's just refreshing to not see anything there.  It's funny to see what Twitter let's you say not interested in and what they put there with no way of removing.

For instance, if #ReagorSucks is trending, I'll have the option to say not interested and it goes away.  If a story about Demi Lavato's sexuality and her thoughts on being insensitive towards aliens is there, it lives there with no option to say not interested.  Every time you log in, that story will be trending.  #ReagorSucks could be long gone with #HurtsSwag now trending.  Always makes me wonder.

I like the sentiment on the coverage and visibility you mentioned in (1), but I am not certain that's true.   I'd actually argue you'd get more visibility in the NFC North, but probably it's on par.  I do agree that Philly loves a winner and if this team decided to go for it they would be willing to spend money to win.

The problem with Philly getting a guy like that is that these guys are old and want to win now.  They want to go to a franchise that's good to go and just needs an elite QB to make it happen.  That's not Philly.

I go to twitter to see college football highlights on Saturdays and to go to the Eagles beat writer list.  However, the What's Trending is always on the side panel no matter what page I'm viewing...granted this is when using a PC rather than phone.  Agree, it's not a real place yet somehow blue check marked people on twitter have serious pull.  I wish that wasn't the case.

Full disclosure, I'm not dying on the Kurt* Cousins hill, I just think he and the Vikings are underrated.

Aren't you one of the posters always banging on about not getting stuck in purgatory every year? That's exactly what the Vikings are. They aren't underrated nor overrated....they're just completely average.

IF we trade 3 1st rd picks for Wilson from this draft I'll hate it, he couldn't carry Seattle without a top 5 defense, he won't carry this team.

If we trade a 2023 1st and a 2022 2nd for Wilson I'll like it, especially if the cap hit is reduced b/c Seattle eats the bonus money.

Wilson would help, but he's not a savior at this point in his career, if he can't carry Seattle, what makes you think he can carry this flawed roster.

Which is why I'd rather keep rebuilding, then look for a QB in two years when you have a top 5 teams sans QB, like TB before they added Brady. At that point you're drafting in the 20s, so trading a couple 1st rd picks isn't the kiss of death for your future. Which is why the Rams went for Stafford, they were trading "discounted" draft picks.

I was thinking about this last night, and we aren't really as far away as people think. Gannon can clearly limit crappy QBs and offenses. He's done a terrific job of it. Against good QBs, yes, he definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but let's look back at our losses....

San Fran - We probably win this game easily with a good QB.

Dallas - eh, they were jacked up and ready to rock us, I don't think any QB would've done much, maybe make it a bit closer

Chiefs - They beat us up pretty good, though it was closer than it looks. Still an L in all likelihood.

Tampa - Their offense toyed with us, but perhaps a better QB could've brought us back. Unlikely, but it being a Thursday game makes it a weird one.

Raiders - A good QB definitely could've helped out in this game. Hurts was god awful. Not sure if we could've beat them, but would've made it far closer

Chargers - Better QB play could've won us this game I think. Hurts was a detriment.

Giants - Easily crush them with better QB play.

So theres 2 wins for sure (SF, NYG), and possibly a win over the Chargers as well. Turns our record from 5-7 to 8-4.

The question becomes what is the cost to acquire let's say Wilson. If you can swing it for a first this year and a first next year, it still allows you to add defensive talent with our other picks. A slight upgrade to the defense, combined with Wilson would absolutely make this team a playoff team at worst, and possibly a contender. We'd likely need to add one more WR somewhere, and upgrade RB as well, but I think that's easier to do when you have the o-line we do.

Yes, agree completely.

Also, Russ looks downright human this year, for a guy that likes to move around and extend plays with his legs you have to wonder if father time is not catching up.  He's 33: Donovan only played top 35.  How many years does Russ have left?  I wouldn't mind trading for him, but I would be uncomfortable trading very much.
