Ill stick to what I said no matter who they are.

They're glorified taters, who keep throwing out the Watson bait to get clicks.

It's getting old...

I'd say that suggesting Hurts is progressing is more click bait worthy.

Bonus: Hurts has an average at best game and the humpers come in here pounding their chest that everyone overreacted last week and he had a great game, completely ignoring that it was the Jets.

Howies biggest Flaws is he doesnt hit in round 1 and 2.

If you look at the names he does pretty good in the later rounds.

No source but I recall reading that he listens to his underlings - scouts and coaches - more in the later rounds. Rumor is that Stout was pounding the table for Mailata for example.

Not taking your score, Jester

Missed my chance earlier at "Howie’s biggest flaw” :

Howie’s biggest flaw is he’s never played sports in his life.

Bonus: Reagor gets 100+ yards and a TD.

Interesting that our four starting DL rank in the top 10 of their position at pass rush win rate, yet we have poor sack production. It seems like we’re good at getting a QB off their spot but we have been able to complete the play. Maybe it’s just a weird combination of not enough people winning on the same play, soft coverage giving the QB an easy and quick outlet, QBs escaping the pressure, etc.

Does that include the times Barnett is offsides to get a jump start?

Do you get points for aimlessly running past the QB? If so, Barnett might be the GOAT

Willing to bet opposing teams time to throw is insanely low against us

This is what I was wondering too. QBs getting the ball out quick could be stacking the scores higher for us if they're scoring it as a pass rush win that caused the throw.

This is how they tally it…

Our pass rush win rate metric tells us how often a pass-rusher is able to beat his block within 2.5 seconds.

Oh how I love "advanced" metrics which in no way reflect actual on field production...

Not that sacks are the only way to measure a DE or a pass rush... but...

Garrett = 12 sacks
Reddick = 10.5 sacks
Parsons = 9 sacks
Watt = 12.5 sacks

Derek Barnett = 2 sacks.   And I'm pretty sure, he's gotten that many personal fouls this season to go along with them... not counting his offsides penalties.

That said, I really hope some team falls in love with Barnett and signs him to a huge deal this offseason... and that team is not the Eagles.

His problem was he listened to his HC and DC in the early rounds, which is good and bad - every coach "wants to shop for groceries," but most aren't very good at it.

One reason I'm more confident in the advice he'll get from Sirianni and Gannon is they're hands on coaches (i.e, go deeper than measureables and film) and Gannon has been a scout.

Schwartz didn't even like drafting players, he wanted Howie to get him veterans so he didn't have to deal with development pains.

The key isn't coaches v scouts, but finding coaches who know how to work with scouts, who not only can describe the types of players they want, but get scouts to focus on the intangibles that make players coachable. Big, fast, athletic is useless if the player is dumb and lazy.

Think it's primarily soft coverage, QBs can get rid of the ball quickly to open receivers.

I'd say pressures are more valuable than sacks, it's like defense in basketball, just getting a hand up within four feet of a 3 point shooter lowers their % by 10 points or so, in the same way, getting pressure on a QB, moving him off his spot (and his eyes off his receivers for a second), will greatly reduce his effectiveness.

Hey just 1 more hour till the weekly drool fest over Micah Parsons, Ceedee Lamb and whoever else you wanna name from those stooges down in Texas.

Yeah, seems to work on this board, though I think there is a small faction on this board that actually believe it👎
