No to Gallup. No Cowboy has ever worked out when they come here.

I'd be all for Gallup. I think he's a great complimentary piece on offense and he's put up some very good numbers as the 2nd/3rd option on a team that also likes to run the ball.

Having said that, he's still very young so I would imagine he's going to get paid quite a bit. Not sure we would be the ones to do it

What is Gallup going to be paid on the open market, $13M per season?

He was a 3rd round draft pick whose rookie deal was less than $1M per season.  We’re talking about a third target here, behind Smith and Goedert in the order.  Have to find this guy in the draft — 3rd or 4th round.

Yea, as tempting as he is, we've been burned by every single Dallas player that has been brought here.

The only NFCE players in the modern FA era that have been successful as Eagles are Brian Mitchell, Shawn Barber and I'm going to say Dhani Jones because he was serviceable.

You also have to look at the numbers.  If the Eagles find a better QB who is able to spread the ball around, you have to think Quez could be around 40 catches.  He didn't help himself with that dropped TD but he isn't being utilized.  What happened to the WR screen passes to him we saw early in the year?  He was eating up yards with them.....now he can't get a target.

Michael Gallup- 22 catches, 264 yards 2 TDs

Quez Watkins- 28 catches,  431 yards 0 TDs....SHOULD BE 29 catches for 465 yards and 1 TD.

I'll take Quez Watkins with a better QB and his rookie contract instead of an overpaid former Cowboy.

We should of drafted him over D.S.

Parsons is a game changer and DPOY and yes, Smith will have a great career but man on man Parsons is on another level

Eh....imagine how much worse this offense is without Smith? At least he's a legit NFL WR for once. Now, if only Howie hadn't screwed up drafting WR multiple times, then we could've gone after Parsons. But I'm glad we took Smith instead.

I've been saying this....it's a no brainer when you think about it.

- The Eagles traded up and used a top 10 pick on a player who's success is 100% contingent on the QB playing well.  If the QB isn't good, his talent is wasted.

-This offense would be the exact same without Devonta Smith.

- Parsons would TRANSFORM this defense.

- The fear was Smtih going to the Giants.  Go ahead, give Smith to the Giants and let Daniel Jones continue to play like crap.

I think DAL was always taking Parsons at #10 and the Giants DeVonta Smith at #11.  Howie needed to jump in front of the Giants and it was a free 3rd round pick profit for DAL, who still got their guy at #12

I would rather have JuJu Smith Schuster over Gallup here. He plays big, was injured so he will come cheap, probably on a one year deal, excels out of the slot and just turned 25.

I truly cant argue and I'm really happy with Smith, I just feel Persons is something beyond special

I said multiple times pre draft that I thought Parsons was one of the best prospects in the draft.

Also thought eagles should draft him and also stated Howie would never draft a LB 1st round.

I like Smith but yeah a WR is dependent on QB play where as parson could of really transformed the D.

I'm going to argue and see my previous post that Smith doesn't change this offense that much.  Hurts doesn't see him the majority of the time when he's open.  This offense functions best being run heavy and only having 12-15 completions per game.

Yes, Smith is good....very good.  However, he is not driving this offense.  The O-Line and QB play is the key to this offense playing well.

Micah Parsons is a game changer and I'm going to say he's a borderline generational talent at LB.  He's playing the way everyone thought LaVar Arrington was capable of playing when he was drafted....and he's a Cowboy.

I'd much rather face DeVonta Smith with Daniel Jones trying to get him the ball twice a year than Micah Parsons twice a year.

I seen a stat , where Parsons has 33 pressures his last 5 games where he played DL only  , and that is with a banged up DL around him , doing things on his own

All those saying parsons is a game changer - he probably wouldn't have been for the eagles, seeing as we don't even blitz.

He would have been somewhere in the backfield waiting to give someone 10 yards.

We should not have been in a position that it was a choice.  WR should have already been solved, but, the nerdy accountant sucks on draft day and we had to continue throwing resources at WR

I think for the most part we are all mostly happy with Smith.  Especially considering we aren't seeing his true potential with Hurts at QB.  You're right though.  Parsons is beyond special.

The Eagles had UDFA, a CFL guy and a questionable 3rd round pick invested at LB going in to the draft with a new defensive coordinator who's units came at the hands of top end LB play.  They had already invested 4 draft picks in WR the previous 2 drafts with a new coach who played WR and showed signs of being able to coach up WR.

Micah Parsons is the Chase Young of the 2021 draft and the Eagles let him go to Dallas.

People will most likely argue that Parsons is a bad guy and that Gainwell pancaked him in a bowl game.

Parsons is a see ball, get ball player.  He just has a nose for the ball.  Look at how well he played when he lined up at D-Line.  Gannon knows how to use LBs if he has the talent.  He blitzes Alex Singleton, who is hardly a good football player.

Parsons would transform this defense.

Ok well let's put away the anointing oil just yet for Parsons. He's had a great start no doubt.

But, you don't think Smith also affects the run game? Remember what it was like under Doug, when we had Alshon, Reagor, and Ward as our WRs? Teams would just load up in the box and dare us to throw. Smith is exactly what we've needed since Djax/Maclin. Hurts won't be here long I hope, and once a real QB who can throw comes in, you'll see Smith really take off.

Probably even more, honestly. Didn't Corey Davis get like 12.5 million?

For all the hype Chase Young got....ROY winner and all....he had 1.5 sacks thru 9 games this year.

The league has a way of adapting, and Parsons may very well be on his way to a great career. But there's lots of guys who crash and burn after great starts. Ultimately, if I were betting on it, yeah I'd probably put money down that he's on a HOF trajectory....but still way to early to declare that IMO.

I'm not taking away what Smith has done for the Eagles.  Smith IS the best WR they've had in some time.

I LOVE good defensive football.

I started watching Eagles football with Seth Joyner, Byron Evans, Wes Hopkins, Andre Waters, Eric Allen, Reggie White, Clyde Simmons and Jerome Brown wreaking havoc and causing FEAR.

William Thomas and Andy Harmon were severely underrated Eagles.

Then we had Brian Dawkins, Trent Cole, Hugh Douglas, Jeremiah Trotter, Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, Al Harris, Michael Lewis, Carlos Emmons, Corey Simon (pre-fat), Hollis Thomas and those great 2000s Jim Johnson defenses.

Look at what we have now.....past their prime BG, Fletcher Cox and Rodney McLeod.  Darius Slay is playing fantastic but that's going to waste with this team.

I want a defense that strikes fear in the opposing team.  I hated the Jim Schwartz style of football where you play soft between the 20s and then tighten up.  I want attacking, fast, game changing football players.

We have NONE.

If Eagles had a better QB we'd be saying the same about Smith.  Smith is so good, but also QB dependent.

Well there's a good chance this year we address our defense. Nakobe Dean may make you not give an ish about Parsons. This was always going to be a rebuilding year for us, and I'm just glad we don't have to sink any more first round resources into WR. The Cowboys have certainly improved by getting Parsons, but ultimately, would you be shocked when they get bounced in the first round of the playoffs again?

The Eagles signed DeMarco Murray after he had 1900 yards and 13 TDs.  Sure it's still to pay top dollar for a running back but he was still the top RB in the league.
