I’ve started Seinfeld over from the beginning. Still as great as ever

Yes!

Unpopular take: seinfeld is terribly over rated

It blows my mind that none of the Florida schools seem to be able to figure it out.  UCF and USF seem to have more stability than Miami, FSU and Florida.  I like college football much more when those 3 schools are great.

The talent in South Florida is insane. Makes no sense that Miami isn't a perennial powerhouse.

I was really young when it first came on and now that it’s on Netflix i went back and there’s a lot of episodes i never remembered. Jerry and Elaine are ok. George, George’s dad, Kramer and the supporting characters is what makes me really enjoy it.

I’ve restarted watching Curb only another 8-9 seasons to watch. Pretty pretty good.

33-16 Eagles.

Bonus prediction-Eagles D gets 3 turnovers.

Of course.  No chance he doesn’t dress.  At least I would think not.  Pretty sure he’ll play or be the back up.

We can’t leave him somewhere on the turnpike?

I never liked it

I’ve tried to watch The Wire multiple times. I gotten through 3 episodes and just lose interest. I’m guessing it gets much better cause I’ve heard a ton of people rave about it.

I tried to start it since it’s on Netflix. The first episode was so bad I haven’t gone back. Maybe I should start on season 3 or something.

The first season was really rough. I actually had this convo with my dad the other day saying i was shocked they got renewed for another season cause it was bad. And that season only had 5 episodes and you rarely saw them on TBS when they ran Seinfeld re-runs. It began to really pick up closer to midway point in season 2. I’m at the start of season 5 with the rewatch. There’s a lot of classic episodes in seasons 3 and 4.

You can start with season 3 and not look back. There's no real lore in the first 2 seasons that will hold you back.

I dont think its a show meant for binging on netflix. Its not something that is going to end in a way to make  you want to see what happens next. Theres no running story. Each episode is a one off.

Its funny. Its cool how they made so many episodes, and each one was about basically nothing. It just picked one obscure piece of everyday life that most of the time not too many people thought about- and obsessed over it and picked fun at it for a half hour.  A lot of it is relatable.

It was probably best as a 1 a week thing on TV. I was pretty young during its heyday. In my household I feel like it was on at like 7 o clock at night. Not primetime. Just finish dinner my dad would watch 6 o clock news and then Seinfeld would be on.  Not too much else to watch during that time.

Itll be underappreciated by the netflix generation.

I’ll have to remember this when I rewatch it’s always sunny - I recollect that the 1st season feels like a different show.

Season 1 is only 5 episodes and just sets up the character development.  Season 2 is 12 episodes and is fantastic.  The Pony Remark, The Heart Attack, and The Busboy have to be viewed.

Starting with Season 3 would be like starting a great novel at page 20

Seinfeld is one of those shows that has so much stuff that you can relate back to as you go through your day.

You see a lady with man hands, you encounter a grumpy food service worker " no soup for you!", someone wears a man bag, you forget where you are parked in a huge confusing parking garage, someone renegs on a deal, someone forgets to send you a christmas card, a guy all dripped out on the basketball court... and on and on.

Shows like that that you can make reference to all the time are a lot of fun.

This was basically my experience, and Seinfeld was a much much better alternative to watching wheel of fortune. I’ve probably seen each episode twice through re-runs, but I haven’t been interested re-watching through streaming. Maybe in another 10 years…

same. I like Seinfeld, but I have no interest in going through the seasons on netflix. I enjoyed it while it was on. I was sad when it ended. But, its done.

I WOULD love to see Netflix pick up The League. I think it was similar in that relatable aspect with many things to reference in daily life. But it had a tiny bit of a flowing story. I would definitely re-watch. My wife who has no interestin fantasy football and doesnt even know how to play still loved the show.

The league was awesome. They don’t even play re-runs on tv anymore. My sister also knows nothing about football but loved the show. There were so many creative aspects of the show and just randomness of each episode

I’ve seen a bunch of episodes in syndication over the years and enjoyed them, which is why I wanted to start it. The first one was so unbelievably unfunny that I couldn’t bring myself to watch episode 2. I’ll probably skip to season 2.

The league has only been off the air for like 5 years, it would be nice surprise if it came back again. They can reboot spider-man every 3 years, but I can’t get the league back - ugh.

I think Hulu has most or all of the old FX shows. Probably on there.
