Somewhere in Jacksonville, their version of Jimmy Kempski is opening MS Paint and getting his stick man drawing skills refined now Minshew is starting.

He can then whine about how poor the food spread for Journalists is in the press box.

Lol all these Hurts cult members are terrified

They brought it on them when they drafted Hurts

Yep. The mental gymnastics are going to be wonderful.

I just want the best possible QB. What a weird tweet from ESP.

@LeanMeanGM

EAGLES - 31

JETS - 13

Bold Prediction - Minshew throws for 300 yards. This game is a laugher.

Whoever hired ESP should be fired and never allowed to work in sports again.

Did I hear we get the first rounder from Indy?  62 snaps I thought I heard.

Will be an interesting one this.

we’ll miss hurts’ running for sure, but not his dodgy passing. Not seen a lot of minshew so fingers crossed!

smith to have 120 yards and 2 TDs

these guys calling the game on CBS even look boring.

I really hope Minshew ligts it up today. People might say he dinked and dunked, but Siriani's offense was supposed to be built horizontally to give guys space to make plays. There should be plenty of short, quick passes that Hurts wouldnt pull the trigger on because he wanted to hold the ball.

But, those should open up some deep shots which Hurts didnt have the arm to complete.

The RPO game could be brought back today too cause Minshew shouldnt be trying to hold the ball and making OL get penalties for being down field.

A lot of stuff is potentially going to look a lot better. And it should be an easy offense for a QB to play in. So I hope he can hit the ground running.

All that is great and hopefully the passing game shows an improvement with Minshew.

I also hope they don't forget to run the ball a good amount too.

Is it Jim Spanarkle and Jason Witten?

If they throw 45 times, and it works because they have a decent QB, theres nothing wrong with that.

True but chances are if they throw 40, 45, 50 times and only run 10 times, the game will be closer than it should be or the Eagles will be losing.

Run the ball damnit.......it works.

Before the curtain lifts on what will be a day that tells us a lot about Hurts (due to his absence), Minshew, and the offense as a whole, I want to list a couple things:

1.  Hurts is a horrible passer.  I think he’s a worse passer than Minshew.  Anyone considering him for the future is crazy and should not be trusted.

2.  Minshew is neither a good qb nor a particularly good passer.  Anyone considering him for the future is crazy and should not be trusted.

3.  Today might teach us if Hurts’ undoubtedly superior running or Minshew’s potentially superior passing give us the better chance to win meaningless games right now.  And if Minshew is adequately superior as a passer to give our wrs a better chance to develop.

Even if Minshew has a good/great game, the overall feeling will be, well it's the Jets, big deal.

At the end of today we should roughly have crossed the 75% threshold

Already seeing it on social media.  If you're hoping for Minshew to have a good game today, then you must be a closet racist.

Eagles are not good enough to say "it’s the Jets”

The Jets have the worst pass D we will face all year. If we don't throw for a decent amount, Minshew isn't even a viable backup.

Who would’ve thought on the 7th day of hannukah Gardner minshew would start…..

My suspicion on Hurts' injury is that it was significant enough, but he toughed through it for the rest of the game (I dont know at what point in the game it happened. maybe very late?)

Most athletes would go to the podium and say "Im playing" nest week. Most athletes tell me that when they get hurt too. Thats a normal thing for an athlete to tell everyone.

I dont think it points to any conspiracy that he was actually healthy and they just wont let him play. I think he was injured, wanted to play, and the medical staff has decided its too serious to let him play.

Is there room for his performance to factor in there too? Yeah probably. If you have an ankle injury in your QB and hes a thrower, you probably let him tough it out. If you know you have to mostly rely on his running as in Hurts case, then you know hes just not going to offer you anything in a game if hes hurt enough.

No one cares what you suspect ankle taper :P

Still a moving target, but if the averages hold... its 61.
