At some point someone is going to start taking the right side of the field away. Assuming Sirianni and Hurts are quick to recognize it I think it's those games where we start to see the big plays open up. You'll have someone running free on the opposite side of the field with no help over the top.

What I wonder if we will see in the all-22 is a lot of open deep routes that he passed up. It did look like on the 1st and 15 play where Atlanta blitzed at the end of the half he had Watkins coming open on a vertical route in the post that could have been an easy TD.  I think he could have made that throw if he was expecting that route to be open. I don't think he was forcing any throws to the right.  It seemed more that he was just making the open throw.

I watched the game replay.  He was very good blocking yesterday.  Also, Smith showed to be willing and capable as well.

Given the types of throws Sirianni seems to want to use, WR blocking will be really important.

I played WR in highschool and we ran wishbone triple option, and we probably practiced stock and crack blocking more than routes so I can appreciate a good run block from a WR and having said that I don't think any one ever goes Into a draft and says I'm going to spend a 2nd round pick on a WR because he run blocks well.

I'm glad he's a good run blocking WR and those guys are usually late round or udfa guys like basket, Riley Cooper, mack Hollins, so it's a shame that the eagles spent a 2nd round pick on a WR whose best assett is as a run blocker.

Oline was trash yesterday. I know you'd like it to be his fault but the line just sucked yesterday

It isn't about me wanting it to be his fault. It is just reality that his OL in Indy has generally been pretty good. But look if it wasn't his fault then good on him.

I would suggest you get past where he was taken in the draft.  That's been litigated and the verdict is in.

He's on the team and contributing in the ways he can.

The Lombardi we have in the trophy case doesn't have anyone's draft position etched on the bottom.

Just making sure you caught that it is not #1 WR in run blocking, it is #1 at any position in run blocking.

Okay so JJAW can block, but does he know what position be at for the snap?

Seriously guys receivers need to catch and gain yards and stuff too

Wonder how they scored the Falcons LG. Probably as worst interior pass blocker in the NFL in 2021.  I can’t wait until the All 22.  I swear there was a play where I watched Cox adjust into a double block. Let me explain.  He started lined up over the IOL but adjust presnap into the narrow gap between the C and the RG.   The obvious conclusion was that the C and RG were going to double block him and they did, leaving Hargrave one on one with Mayfield, their LG.  Hargrave blew him up.  Occupying the two IOL also left Sweat and Graham one on one with the OTs and they pushed in the pocket while not losing contain. So Hargrave and the DEs look real good on that play. BTW, from all appearances, Cox was winning the tandem block too.  Won’t show up in the stats but a solid play for him.

I noticed this as well.  Gannon knew that LG was their weakest link.  He made it a pick your poison where they either had to leave him one on one with Hargrave or Ridgeway or leave Cox one on one.  I do wonder if they could have utilized some stunts between the DT's to further exploit the issue.  I would like them to maybe try more of that next week.

Playing his role.  If we win, I don't care if he blocks every play and never catches a pass.

Yes - He was in a package where they were in 3TE sets and other runs.  He probably had the most favorable match ups.  I mean my guess is most of his blocks were against DBs and he probably didn't make many mistakes.  It doesn't mean anything other than he did well blocking against the people he was assigned to block.  I think it's probably correct.  I mean how relevant is that "stat" to anything? I think that's the problem I have with PFF.

Yup I agree, it's nice that JJaW has been able to contribute in some way, and if he wins a super bowl as the best blocking WR in the game and nothing else I'm still not sure people are going to say wow maybe Picking JJaW in the 2nd wasn't a bad pick.

Like I said glad he had some good run blocks in his limited snaps and it's not enough for me  to still not want to string up Howie.

That's a damn nice umbrella actually.  Obviously his Mom's, and he made the mistake of going and standing beside her during practice.

The AFC South might be close to as bad as the NFC East was in 2020. That division is so terrible.

I see people are completely missing any context with PFF again. Evergreen.

Titans and Colts will both be 10 win teams and I wouldnt be shocked if Houston Flirts with 500.

I think the worst division may be AFC south

We're now supposed to support them in all of their fatness.  I saw a commercial for Old Navy promoting women's pants up to size 30 with a bunch of severely overweight women dancing around which ended with some silly hashtag.  If you don't support them, you're fatphobic...it's a thing, and it's ridiculous.

It's gross out there man. It's now acceptable for fat people to wear cut off shirts with their guts full of stretch marks to be seen by everyone and we're not allowed to say anything.

We didn't make them shove cookies down their throats.

Bill Burr does an awesome skit about this lol.

It's smart for companies to market to different body types to reach a larger demographic, not every consumer weighs 100 lbs, lots of different body types and sizes out there.

Don't like watching heavy people bounce around on tv change the channel.

When I go pick up my kid from school there is always this older heavy set lady waiting behind me and I'm not sure she owns a shirt that fits properly as her gut is always hanging out.

I don't say anything not my place but I do avert my eyes elsewhere.

Another example how the OL/DL mainly dictate how a game goes.

Most important role for a WR on a wishbone team was to block.  With running options, blocking is an important part.  Question is, when will they throw it to JJAW.
