I hope this game kind of pumps the breaks on trading picks for a veteran QB. This defense is so bad and needs a ton of help. Would be better to keep the picks and stick up on some defensive talent.

Agreed.   Kept the defense off the field.  Win win.  Eagles get the ball back to start the half with the chance to go up 2 possessions before the Jets get the ball back.   Good game management.  And they were absolutely in position to score a TD, just couldn't get it done in the red zone there.

This game is productive as a reminder for our inept FO that an NFL offense needs a qb that can pass.

I love how every week, excuses are made for Hurts, but our backup comes off the bench cold having never played with this team, has more touchdowns than incompletions and 188 yards passing in one half and we’re complaining about underthrown balls. I’d have loved for that to have been my gripe over the last few weeks

There’s been plenty of underthrown balls this season, a well honed gripe.

Well, to be fair, I've never made excuses for Hurts... and the underthrown balls are being discussed because they are important in terms of determining long term plans.  

I'm also not going to make excuses for Minshew.  (Everyone I made has been tongue in cheek, poking fun at the Hurts-scuses.)

Week 7 against the Raiders was the last time Hurts threw for OVER 188 yards. Minshew has that at halftime.

He's only thrown for 200 yards 4 times... in 12 games.
