Wow Bengals — stuck watching that game.  Down 24-0 they score a TD, line up to go for 2, don’t have a play ready and have to call timeout, come out of the timeout and take a delay of game penalty.  Bring the kicker out for the extra point and miss the extra point.

Now driving toward midfield in the last seconds of the 1st half and instead of spiking the ball with 6 seconds left, Burrow stands there cursing after throwing two 3-yard passes to the middle of the field and doesn’t even snap the ball to spike it — lets the half just end down 11 points

I don’t give a damn if it’s against the jets. This team has played the lions, saints, and giants and did not pass that ball this well. Hurts failed to eclipse 200 passing yards in any of those games. The offense is moving the ball well which is expected against a bad defense. Why couldn’t they move the ball against the terrible giants defense last week?

Make no mistake, I dont see MInshew as a long term answer. To me it was about exposing the fraud in Hurts, so we dont make a mistake and plan on Hurts being the long term answer.

MInshew exposed in one 1/2 of football just how bad Hurts has been as a passser.

 

Now, how ridiculous will it be to go back to Hurts as the starter next week?  LOL, Trust me, we will and I will laugh.

We used to have the pleasure of watching holes the size of 4 lane highways opened up when McCoy ran the ball while Vick was in the backfield. And I suspected Sanders benefited a fair amount from playing along side Hurts and his running ability. But hes still averaging well over 4 yards a carry.

Minshew can’t even get it downfield himself and we’ve still seen Watkins come to life.
