If they kept passing a bit and he gets to 300+ its a flashy stat, team put up big point total. Getting production out of the high paid TE now. etc

Now, you look at the yardage and figure maybe Hurts can do that. Consider they havent scored a TD since the 1st quarter and say... we need Hurts.

Meh.  All that really matters is what the team thinks, and I think to a certain extent the narrative of 'it doesn't matter what Minshew does' was pretty accurate.  They had their minds made up before the decision was made about how they were going to deal with Hurts.  

 

Will be interesting to see what Hurts has learned since his last meeting with Washingteam in 2 weeks.  They killed him...  he had a 25 Passer rating against them last time.

Anyone who knows anything (Sirianni) knows that they went into a shell offensively once they got to 21 points... and just relied on the running game to protect the defense and end it faster.  People with agendas (including Lowie) will have the spin machine in full force.
