We here, and we ain't leavin'

I think, maybe...

Hold the tiebreaker over all the NFC South teams by beating them.  Stupid ViQueens can find ways to lose when they should win.  The Wankers might be the biggest obstacle.  Or putting Hurts back in after the bye will be the biggest obstacle.

Yea, that was bad.  Also said Mailata was 6-5.  Lofton has been horrible.

Right, he said 6-5 , 365

Whoa

A few thoughts…

* Minshew processed well and was reasonably accurate, even if he short armed a few passes. Guys were open, and when they weren’t he was able to get through his progressions.

* We saw the Hurts effect on the run game. I thought we were pretty underwhelming in the run blocking department for most of the game, which is a shame considering the opponent. Herbig was a slug out there.

* Considering the above two points, I thought we ran the ball too much. We weren’t nearly as effective as previous weeks, and Minshew was playing well. Let him throw it.

* The pass protection was something else. The Jets don’t have much of a pass rush, but still an impressive effort.

* The Jets schemed Gannon up pretty good in the first half. We couldn’t stop the run or cover anyone.

* Goedert was a beast.

* Sanders didn’t have his best game by YPC, Inthought he did a good job of maximizing what was there today, because there wasn’t a whole lot.

* Sirianni had three play calls that were really confusing: the second and 20 handoff, a sprint out with Minshew, and that cluster F triple reverse pass nonsense. 2nd and 20 draws are almost always a waste of time. Minshew was throwing well, and the Jets barely sniffed him. Why bother cutting off half the field? And that triple reverse BS was too cute by half. Just line up and beat a bad team.

Prediction: Afan tells us that Hurts actually played better last week than Minshew did this week.

I disagree.  At this point as far as drafting all our picks will likely be out of the top ten.  Everybody knows that Hurts is not the guy so a playoff game makes no difference there.  Playoffs are just fun to watch and I'm in this for entertainment so I'll take it.

Well at least the defense shut them out in the 2nd half.

Unsurprisingly, the biggest Hurts supporters are silent.

We are now drafting at 13, 16 and 19. Pretty far from where we were at a month or so ago.

Im not rooting for hurts over Minshew or the other way around cause they both are not the future. But I will say Minshew didnt look that great. the really bad Jets defense made it look better then it was. He had a ton of very short passes and anything over 10 yards was under thrown. Just the recs were able to come back for them. Good win for him in his first game but not as impressed as most seam to be.

This team should beat bad teams. They lost to the giants last week. They did what they should today to get the win. Nobody is beating their chest because we beat the Jets, it’s how they did it through the air. Get out to a lead and run the ball. Something we struggle to do almost all the time with Hurts.

Nate Herbig might just undermine this entire offense single-handedly though.

Doesn’t Dickerson have the most experience playing center?

Nonsense

You'll be singing a different tune come April when their pick is much lower or they decide to commit to Hurts, who stinks because "he led the Eagles to the playoffs"

Worse draft pick. Makes Howie look good, so any doubt in Lurie's mind that may have crept in would be erased. Could fool them into thinking Hurts or Sirianni are good. Could deter them from trading for Watson or Wilson. They are going to get stomped in the WC round by any team they play.

"Playoff experience" is overrated. It's the same damn game, people always use that line and it's basically a cliche at this point with no logic? It's not like a Poker player is switching it up to blackjack.

What does playing one more game with the same rules that just so happens to mean more be so valuable than if they didn't play it. Is Jalen Reagor going to learn how to catch because of this extra game? Is Hurts going to learn how to throw an accurate ball? Talent wins, and it would objectively impact the Eagles' ability to add better talent.

Folks just excited to see passes completed to the right receiver almost on time.  But he was traded for a 6th for a reason...

People were praising Hurts for his Broncos 1st half play and had people saying he turned the corner. Minshew has a good 1st half against a much worse defense and he's already getting anointed. Maybe we should slow down a bit.

He's had hardly any practice with the 1s, is in a new system, hasn't had a start since last season and still needs to get familiar with his receivers/TE.

Yet, he played infinitely better than Hurts.

Eagles control their own fate. Still play WFT twice.

Win and they make the playoffs.

Let's ******* go!

giants game will come back to haunt us and keep them out , terrible giants team should have never lost to them.

Yeah, just because Minshew is a better passer than Hurts doesn't make him a good passer.

Heck, there are probably a good 40+ QBs in the NFL that are better pure passers than Hurts.

Doesn't in any way shape or form stop them from going after a QB.  Rest assured, that is their priority.

We don't know that yet, the Eagles are always operated by confirmation bias. As we've seen over the years, it's very difficult for Howie to admit wrongs. His ego won't allow it. If Hurts leads them to the playoffs, that could very well convince them they were right. And even if it doesn't, the picks they have will be less valuable in trading for a QB should they need one.
