I am fine to draft an OL in rd 1 if one of the best guards is there. Feed the beasts.

but god do we need a safety like Hamilton

If it's one more season of Hurts, the D needs to be considerably more dynamic than it is. That will only come by adding talents like Hamilton.  Otherwise it's condemned to a bunch of cheap spare parts from elsewhere and lower draft picks

Sorry you win throwing the ball. And we did far better at that today.

Agreed. We should have thrown more.

I'm not worried about meaningless superficial optics of fandom, I'm concerned about what's best for the Eagles and their future and their prospects of building a championship roster.

Rooting is irrespective of what's best for them. You can even root for them to make the playoffs, but also acknowledge it's probably worse for their future if they do so. If the Eagles had missed the playoffs in 2019, Lamb would be an Eagle right now.

Would he? With Howie picking?

If we took Metcalf instead of JJaw, Jefferson instead of Reagor and kept Wentz instead of drafting Hurts we might be 11-2.
Yeah, you root for L’s. I can’t.

First 4 picks need to be Defense.

Wow Abram just went through schreff to make a tackle and got flagged for it and gave Washington an automatic first down

Going low.  Defenders have no options sometimes.

The Hurts crowd says that everyone keeps doubting him and he keeps going.  Counterpoint to that…I don’t understand how the hell he keeps getting opportunities.

He had an offensive line at Alabama with better talent than most nfl teams and a WR corps better than ALL nfl teams…and managed to lose the qb job because he can’t pass.

Then he somehow is handed the starting job in the most qb/stat friendly offensive scheme in college football.  Scouts and teams asked him about changing positions.

Then one team reaches for him in the draft.  Their starting qb has some sort of mental breakdown and forgets how to play the position. Hurts is thrust into an unearned starting job and looks predictably, literally, out of his league as a passer.

Then that starting qb is shipped out in the offseason, no QB is added for completion, and Hurts is handed a starting qb job he never earned.  He proceeds to be one of the worst passers in the nfl, leading the team to a losing record.

Then Hurts misses a game, his Koy Detmer on steroids / Uncle Rico mediocre backup unlocks an entire new element to the offense, shining the light on the night and day difference.  Coach Siri says the starting job belongs to Hurts as long as he’s healthy.

Some say everyone just keeps doubting Hurts.  I ask how the hell are there still so many people willing and to give him chances when he’s never earned a thing and doesn’t even have upside?

Heinicke is better than either Hurts or Minshew.

I can’t imagine Siri wanting to go back to Hurts

How much will he have to say about it?

I love what Urban Meyer is doing with the Jags. I think he should be frontrunner for coach of the year. All the haters look really stupid right now.

Yeah 2-10 looks really stupid for the haters🙄

I mean, they tried to trade up for him. Stands to reason if he was there, they'd have taken him.

I'm assuming that the FO won't use 3 1st round picks and maybe use only 1, with another maybe traded for a player.  In some respects, the D needs an infusion of 2nd and 3rd round picks, rather than one or two 1s, as long as the earliest pick is used on a playmaker. It needs talent and lots of it

Eagles scored points on every single drive except the last one. Took them 7 drives to put a scoring drive together against the giants.

bUt ItS tHe JeTs DeFeNsE!

Where was this ability against the saints, giants, and lions?!?

And I guess it would have been impossible for the cowpokes to trade up to get him anyways?

Laser from Carr there.

BTW.  Good god does our defense suck.  Nelson, terrible.  Cox, done.  Singleton, horrible.  Barnett, useless.

Also, Jalen Reagor is a liability.  He needs to stay off the field.  What a loser.

Didn't you hear James Lofton say Alex Singleton has rare speed and coverage ability.  Come on man!

Bit ticky tack on the former Eagles' draft pick... Casey Toohill.

Strong leaning to the short and the right as well..

Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

I thought the same. Wonder how much of it is the play calling. There’s a bit too many short passes to the right, but it could have been more of a symptom of taking what the defense is giving you.

Raiders down 2.  Just under 11 minutes left.   Washingteam to get the ball back.

The issue isn't that the Eagles didn't get Lamb.  The issue is that the Eagles got Reagor instead of Jefferson.

If Kelce stays, out OL will be massive in either size and/or talent (Mailata, Dickerson, Kelce, Herbig, Johnson) for a few more years.

Was great to see a QB who can scan the field, go through progressions, etc. Arm strength could be better.

When are we going to have our top secret Tyree Jackson game?

What was the final TOP?
