I said this after the game. I knew Despite Minshew’s game today the Eagles would go back to Hurts.

Such a shame we looked like an actual NFL offense for one game at least.

Minshew isn’t the long term answer, but neither is Hurts so they might as well just give Minshew the reigns for the rest of the season and see what happens. They won’t though.

Winning the draft is the goal.

John Harbaugh going for 2 and the win.  Gutsy.

I don’t know who was more confused about which team was which.  My wife or James Lofton.  Difference is, she plays candy crush the whole game and he’s paid to know who the f the teams are.  He called the Jets, the Eagles numerous times.

You don't know that he wasn't also playing Candy Crush.

Wrong. Sometimes you need your team to step backwards in order to get good enough to actually win. They need major changes.

We won 4 games last year. Had the 6th pick, fired our coaches. Won 9 the year before , beating backup Qb’s to get in. If we keep taking steps backward we’ll be the F’ing Giants before you know it. No thanks.

I’ll root for wins and Miami and Indy to lose. You can join the 76er process plan with others.

Did they change the play designs for Minshew or was he working with what Hurts usually gets? If they changed it then it's concerning that he also sticks to the short and right. If they didn't then it looks like he does a better job than Hurts

I was actually expecting a lot more incompletes because he hasn't had a lot of times with the starters. I was impressed with only 5 incompletes

Yup.  4th round pick in 2019... but impact defensive players are always out of reach for Howie.  Just impossible to draft impact defensive players anywhere but the top 10, apparently.

He just can't identify them.  You could tell Crosby had it, just a smaller school guy.  He wasn't a reach or a project.  True to form, Howie wants to be the smartest and find some hidden gem or some project player.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up our rushing stats. In all drives that started prior to the fourth quarter, we had 31 carries for 110 yards, good for 3.5 yards per carry.

For our fourth quarter drives we went 10 for 75.

This is what I’m talking about. 185 yards looks awesome. We weren’t very good running the ball for much of the game.

OK. You can join the people rooting for a playoff spot just to have their assses kicked, lower draft pick, and a coach and GM who get one or two more years at least because their ineptitude is masked.

Classy move by Dan Campbell and the Lions.  Dedicated the game ball of his first career win, to the Oxford MI community.

Friend of mine in that area.  Awful.

In Lofton's defense (which is hard to do), 2 teams whose colors are green and white were both wearing black.  If I turned that game on not knowing the Eagles and Jets were playing, I wouldn't have known who that game was at first glance, let alone which team was which.  Just a visually brutal looking game.

Future Eagle Russell Wilson getting a head start helping the Eagles.

No one used the word 'awesome'.  The word used was 'effective'.  And they were.

Howard was out. Scott was out, essentially. Driscoll was out. Sanders was hobbled.

They ran fine.

7 possessions.  7 scores.  No WTF throws.  The run game was still effective.

I know it's the Jets, but at least you can see what kind of offense Sirianni can put together with more traditional QB play.

You can thank Minshew playing well for that. He helped cover up for that inefficient run game that you thought was effective for three quarters.
