What I found fascinating and refreshing was Minshew's willingness to throw to the RBs.

Hurts would have likely had successful scrambles on several of those.

But still, makes more sense for the RB to run with the ball than the QB.

Minshew had 20 completions today. The last time the birds did it was against the panthers in week 5.

That's fair.   I had assumed the Rams would lose to the Cardinals or Ravens.

Vikings have the Steelers and the Niners have the Bengals.  And I'll admit, WFT will be a challenge...twice.

But at least there is a reasonable path.

Washington is going to be two big ones that makes it or breaks it. Not sure they can split with them and expect to make it.

3.5 multiplied by 3 = a first down.

Lol. Effective!

Eagles were down to one back (who was hobbled) and missing an interior lineman, who had been playing well.

"Well if you remove this quarter for some reason they only ran for 130+ yards!"

They didn't average 7 yards per carry, so obviously running was a waste of time.

Sound logic and definitely worth griping about.

You know what I’m tired of?  Ray Didinger and his notebook.  It’s so obvious he’s playing up the schtick.  It’s like what I would do when the teacher would walk down the aisle by my desk.  I’d pretend to be reading or studying and then as soon as she turns her back….shenanigans.

Oh and a yellow notepad and yellow highlighter?  Really dude?  Come on.

You F’d around in school? I would’ve never guessed that. 😆

We know, but as long as you are quiet, we don't care.  :P

He’s clueless.  Almost as clueless as Lowie and Sirianni if they go back to Jalen Tebow.

Which I fully expect they will.

Sirianni said "Jalen is the starter when he’s healthy”. The question is when is he fully healthy. Wink wink.

MInshew was exactly what I thought he was, a bigger version of the Detmer brothers (for you old timers), weaker arm than Hurts, but accurate for the most part and sees the field well. He basically dinked and dunked in a balanced scheme, but you could see the defense focused on stopping the run between the tackles. And you could see that the pass blocking is still a work in progress, Minshew had to move around a lot and get rid of the ball quickly.

But if you watched Wilson and Lawrence today, you also saw that a big arm doesn't compensate for a lack of football IQ or sloppy mechanics leading to bad throws.

The reason they'll stick with Hurts is he has more upside than Minshew, he might improve his passing, Minshew is not going to grow a stronger arm or faster legs.

I think most folks have determined this part isn’t going to happen.

Clearly you missed the point and have resulted in hyperbole to try to win an argument. Well done.

I do think the offense functions better with Howard as the lead-back. Given how physical this OL is, we need a thumper.

My senior year, I had the same teacher for 3 periods.  Mrs Katsolous.  At one point she slammed on her podium and finally lost it.  She gave me detention my last week of school.  I had to go in an hour early for a week or I wouldn’t be able to graduate in time.  I guess she had enough of me.

She probably deserves a Purple Heart. I can’t imagine what a ball breaker you were as a teenager … Good Lord

Who was the Jets interior defensive linemen who kept collapsing the pocket? Very impressive. He was a one man gang.

Miles had a nice game today. But I’m with you about the big back/thumper. Loved Blount and Howard now, guys those smaller defenders don’t want to tackle.

It isn't hyperbole. This is what you said:

Just out of curiosity, I looked up our rushing stats. In all drives that started prior to the fourth quarter, we had 31 carries for 110 yards, good for 3.5 yards per carry.

For our fourth quarter drives we went 10 for 75.

This is what I’m talking about. 185 yards looks awesome. We weren’t very good running the ball for much of the game.

And as it's been pointed out a number of times:

Not a single person said they were outstanding. For the most part, everyone has said it was fine. It was effective. You had a bad take and everyone has called you out for it. Accept it and move on.

Miles was good today. His inconsistent vision puts us behind the sticks too often.

Yes, for the first three quarters we averaged 3.5 yards per carry. That would qualify as a large portion of the game. And that’s not very good.

Looks like he made it

Sanders was over 4 yards per carry till the 3rd quarter, and then finished above 4 yards per carry by the end of the game.

Pretty damn good game overall, with a rough 3rd quarter.

Dances a little to much for me, but I did think for the most part he stuck his head in there and got some tough yards today. Be nice if he could sniff the end zone however.
