Yeah it's a pretty outrageous comment after one good game against a bad team. It was encouraging and was impressive but I think it needs to be put in check a little.

It really was. A lot was made of the great catch, and it was a great catch, but it was a great throw. A very impressive two minute drill all round actually. 

If Hurts does become a viable franchise QB, I'd probably argue that a succession plan on the right side of the OL becomes the biggest need on the team, more so than any individual position on defense.

I'm guilty of the Mailata love but he got torched on that play.  With the lighting in the game, glare on my TV I wasn't able to see that catch very well until you posted it.  Definitely a great play by Hurts and DG.  Looks like both WR were working their way open in the same pocket in the back of the end zone too.

I think in the next couple of years yeah but I'm not sure they need to next year? But it all depends on the draft and their board I guess. 

I know it's sort of a joke given that all he had to do was NOT get physical or sacrifice his body, but what Ertz did on Devonta Smith's TD was actually a thing of beauty.

What makes it even better is the Falcons got called for 2 almost identical pick plays later in the game.

Being an obese male for a good portion of my life, this has always been a difficult subject for me to talk about. And while I’m supportive of anyone trying to change their lives for the better, this has been bothering the f*** out of me lately.

I’ve lost close to 70 pounds since I started my weight-loss journey back in March, yet I still struggle with self-acceptance/confidence partly because this whole movement likes to neglect men for some reason.

Sure, there might be a few people who "acknowledge” us, but where are our magazine covers and clothing commercials?

It’s not right.

I’d also like to point out that other factors contribute to obesity. I, for one, struggle with depression and anxiety disorders. I also grew up in a home that liked to reward with food at an early age.

A lot of people assume we’re all just fat, lazy slobs, but that’s not the case. A lot of us struggle with something deeper. A lot of us know our lifestyle choices aren’t healthy and want to change. But sadly, some don’t.

Some of us also kill ourselves because of the torment other people inflict upon us.

We’re not here to be ridiculed and judged. Most of us just need one person to be supportive rather than judgmental. 

Kindness works miracles, I tell you.

Lastly, and I can’t speak for all of us, but I have never expected nor wanted anyone to "celebrate my fatness.” All I have ever wanted is to be treated with respect.

Arthur Smith coached one of the worst games I’ve ever seen yesterday. What in the hell was he doing? His best players are Matt Ryan and Ridley, yet he tried to win running the football. And they got off to a strong start so okay, fine. But once you get down by two TDs they continue to try and win running the ball? And barely rolled Ryan out to avoid the pressure in the 2nd half.

Apparently there was an interview with Arthur Blank where he said he wanted Arthur Smith because "he’s a running coach and you win in the NFL running the football” or something. Good luck with that. He did very well with the Titans calling plays, but sheesh.

If I could muster a critique of the defense after a 6 point peformance, it would be the poor tackling

A couple people have mentioned the Niners' skill position players and that is one area where they will likely test us more than Atlanta.  Speed vs. Power skill players

If we could somehow land Thibodeaux, Stingley and Hamilton in the first round next year….well one can dream I suppose

First of all...congrats to you on the 70 lbs down.  That's incredible and saying it out loud on a message board takes some courage so, again good for you.  I'd like to say you have the support of fellow Eagles fans/humans here.

Everything you said is true in many ways.  Every single one of us have our own issues and our own demons, all having different factors.  

No matter what, keep up the good work.
