More like a very small %....  Yes racism exists. And despite what some of the media and far left progressives tell you, any person of any race can be a racist.

I too doubt it‘s even half of the fanbase.

It‘s still too many though.

So the snap counts are out.

Quez Watkins- 55 snaps

Jalen Reagor- 48 snaps

DeVonta Smith- 44 snaps

I just gave Sirianni an attaboy but what the hell is that all about?  Smith should have the most snaps of any of the WR but how he has the least out of the top 3 and why Reagor continues to have that many is beyond me.

One small defense for Reagor though.  They continue to not give him good opportunities with throws behind the LOS.  Can they please stop calling that play.

Thinking this is a thing of the past that society has mostly solved is just naive.

Thinking it is always part of the reason a person of color doesn't succeed is pure stupidity.

Absolutely. But ignoring how few QBs and HCs of color are in the NFL is just as stupid.

Two words that start with H and R.

So what was the point of bringing it up then? Every team likely has some racist fans

when you see someone in here being racist , let me know. Otherwise , lets keep it to the merits of his play. Any player, any color. If we keep it to the merits of their play, the racist ones wont have a pulpit.

I still have no idea why the Jags gave away Minshew for a 6, and why no other team would top that offer.

The Steelers would be better with him.

Conditional 6th. Can be a fifth.

If this were 1980, I would agree.

It isn't.  Agreed that there is still room for improving the numbers of HC's, but that has zero to do with the fans. QB's, I dont think you can say that anymore.

Fine. Let’s stop here then and continue to disagree on how good Hurts is as a passer.

Congrats. First time you ever exceeded expectations.

No he stinks....and needed to go 2 years ago.  Yet I was slammed in the thread when I said it.  Don't ask me about Hart.

I can't think of one guy on the team that is untouchable at this point.  Maybe Farabee.

Hurts has a 57.7% completion percentage for his career. I would love to hear what your definition of a good passer is.

A debate about racism during a bye week.  You guys never fail to deliver.

Thoughts about special teams?

Then we agree to disagree. I dont believe Hurts is a good passer. He is late on most of his throws, Doesn't like to throw to his left, bails on great pockets, most times doesn't step into the pocket when it is clean, and misses seeing wide open wr's even if they are/were his first progression.

Surprisingly bad in coverage yesterday.  My last hope for Reagor was as a returner and he can't do that right.  His best return was on a muffed punt but he still can't get out of his own way.

Elliott is back.  I think Michael Clay is a very solid coach, would like to see how he progresses.  Does he have potential as a coordinator?

Well....they're special.

But have you seen his warm up throws on the sideline?  They are a thing of beauty.

Do we have to?

That first kick off was the biggest hole I've ever seen, right up the middle. I have no idea what happened there, but it was definitely not a good way to start the game.

I do not believe hurts would have put up similar numbers. Way more rushing yards and fewer passing yards would be my guess.

same success but derived differently

neither is the "answer” but it was nice to see a contrasting style from Hurts. But you’ve got to keep rolling with Hurts so there is no doubt who/what he is and what his ceiling looks to be.

I'd say no higher than this, at best.

Who isn't supporting him?  He's an Eagle and when he's playing he's the Eagles QB.  But you can cheer and support and also realize that the guy isn't a good QB.  Why can't people have their opinions without it being that they're not "supporting him"?  There is a large portion of the fan base and media that is all in on the guy because of the color of his skin.  To deny that is just naïve and lacks critical analysis.  I am sure there are some Eagle fans who don't like him because of the color of their skin.  But I would question why they are Eagle fans then.  Because like I said, a lot of our best and most impactful QB's the past 30 years have been black.

I didn't like the pick.  I thought it was an arrogant pick by a ish front office.  He doesn't have the arm....he doesn't have the mechanics....vision.....pre snap read acumen.  Is Minshew the long term answer?  NO!  Would I like Deshaun Watson if he wasn't a **** bag?  Hell Yes!    I never said Sirianni is being forced to play him because the color of his skin.  As a matter of fact I am not sure anyone believes that.  But I do believe that some of the support is because of that and that alone.  Absolutely.

Like I said, some are about skin, but if that is the case; I agree it lacks critical analysis, and it goes both ways, of course.  But it can can be for other reasons as well.  To claim it is the only reason and the elephant in the room is narrowing it to one element.   Don't think it is just one element for many people, though I won't deny it is for some.  Of course, that was my point but i must have been too vague.

I would think you would be clear about my feelings on Hurts by now, but I guess not.  To summarize again for you: not a starting NFL QB, but as long as he plays for the Eagles and he is on the field I hope he plays great every single time and we win every game.

I supported him, I kept hoping he would improve, so far he has not.I  Agree he is a great guy. But we dont keep a person as the starter in the most important position of all of sports, when he hasn't progressed and has issues doing his basic job of distributing the ball, just because he is a great guy. That is unless you like to be perennial losers?

Alright, I have to acknowledge I was not precise enough.  This wasn't about Eagle fan support but about responding to a post saying the national media support was based upon his race, which it can be for some, but national media support could also be for other reasons that have nothing to do with race.

I will end my comments on this now as I think it takes away from the fun of debating who should start at QB after the bye week, if Kelce doesn't play and Herbig moves to center should all QB snaps be under center and who plays RG.

Sorry I misunderstood. Gothcha, and agree that some of the national media support may be for other reasons.
