I would definitely try one!

.  No kicks in that direction tonight.  lol.  That would lead to one of the craziest NFL moments ever.

BTW... that  is exactly why I hate domes... no interest in the weather conditions.   Where's the fun and intrigue?   Football is meant to be played in the elements.

Yup back in the day nobody wanted to play in Minnesota in the winter and they used it to their advantage, haven't been to any super bowls since switching to a dome, sure they didn't win any before the dome but they got to a bunch.

Nothing like watching a playoff game in the mud and rain or snow.

I love weather games.  Had zero interest in tuning in to the game tonight but now that I see there is lake effect snow and crazy wind, it's a must turn on game.

Just make sure you are kicking the right direction or you might end up with a safety.

Howling high winds and lake effect snow, you say?  Hell yeah, I'm in!

Funny thing is... I think the league thinks that fans want to see the perfect conditions games more.

I remember as a kid... whenever it would snow, it didn't matter what else might have been going on... my brother and I would always get a football game going to play in the snow.

Holy moly, is this thing real?

Am I to guess you are referring to his mustache and overall SWAG and not the actual hire?

Honestly, he looks like the South Park PC Bro with a handlebar mustache.

15 yard punt lmao

15 yard punt into the wind.  lol

Sounded like he crushed it off his foot and it went 5 feet

gotta drive it low and hard and hope for the best.  Can't go with normal mechanics.

That said... no way can Buffalo afford not to score WITH the wind.  Need to take advantage.  Of course, they are likely in FG range now.

It's just a different time and I for one don't like it.  Someone told me the other day I'm and old soul and man I sure am.  I really pine for simpler times.  I associate old school football with simpler times.

The NFL doesn't like competitive advantages anymore, they like even conditions.  It's why Super Bowls are played in warm climate cities or in domes and why eventually, every stadium will have the same playing surface.

Prime example, albeit in NCAA, Notre Dame used to have the longest natural grass field around.  Not anymore, turf.  There are other things that come in to play like maintenance cost and now being a multi use surface but gone is that home field grass.

The ability to adapt to conditions is what separates the good from the great.   The Ice Bowl ended on a QB sneak from Bart Starr.   The QB Sneak wasn't in their playbook, but Starr noticed that their RB couldn't get there in time with the ice rink they were dealing with at the goalline... so he talked it over with Lombardi in the timeout before that play and they decided that he should just take it over the goalline himself.

Huge turnover by Buffalo.

Gotta go for 2?  Right?

I remember doing that 3 times as a youth.

First time was probably about 11-12.  We got dismissed early from school due to snow so decided to play a tackle football game in the rectangular cul-de-sac around the corner from my street.   For some reason we decided to play by time instead of by whoever scores X amount of points first wins.  Someone had a stop watch so we went by that, which was set on top of a parked car and checked now and then.  There was time for one last play and my team was trailing by less than 6 points.  For some reason I was left mostly uncovered on the outside from 'midfield' and my friend the QB threw it up towards me where I laid out and made a diving catch and hydroplaned past the GL for the game winning TD.

Second time we had this big open field behind our development where we had painted (with spray paint) a 60 yard football field (about 25-30 yards wide with 10 yard EZs).  It snowed heavy the day before and there were 3-4' snow drifts that covered 1/3 of the field along the one sideline.  It was all neighbourhood kids with older and younger brothers so we had 2 'big kids' and 4 'little kids' per side.  My side was up a TD and the other side was driving for TD to tie.  This was back when PSU had Shane Conlan so I had my down vest with a generic PSU jersey over the top and tied at the back.  My friend tried throwing a pass over the middle which I leaped and picked off then started to run for a pick-6.  He had the angle on me so I had no choice but to try my luck with the snow drifts, which I got tackled by the big walls of snow.  We scored several plays later to win the game.

Then after HS when most of us either worked or were in college we had Christmas Bowl tackle football games which really beat the Hell out of all of us.  I'd be sore for 2-3 days after.  But the one year when I woke up and looked at the thermometer between by bedroom window and the screen it read 13 degrees.  It had snow a day or two before, but when we got the field we played on it was a sheet of ice.  That was a rough game and being tackled was like hitting concrete and trying to cover anyone on a route was difficult.

Three great memories I'm glad to have, though.

This game is wild so far

I do not miss watching Mills play LCB.

There's a pass Hurts cannot throw.

Man we shoulda drafted Stevenson. F'n man ox

Stevenson is a RB I wanted in the draft, he's good.
