I'm curious about FSU / Notre Dame.

That's tomorrow night, in case you wonder why you can't find it today.

LSU-UCLA might be a good one too.

Hey cool story. Don’t fall out of your tree stand and break a hip

Yes, yes, no "politics", but WOW that burn.

He does have talent, and with a better coaching staff and lowered expectations, he could be a valuable depth piece, nice straight line size and speed for STs, good body to box out on underneath routes, the ability to high point on sideline passes. Accept he lacks the burst and agility to gain separation against top CBs, and set up mismatches against smaller CBs and safeties/LBs. Not every player has to be a starter to be valuable.

Yes refusing to use capital letters in written form to bring awareness to indigenous injustice is right up there with state sanctioned genocide...👎

Meh, having spent much of my life around academia (too many degrees and then some teaching), the media likes to jump on extreme cases, the reality is most universities are dominated by the business and engineering schools, and graduate programs. Only a few elite colleges let these issues be more than a minor sideshow for neo-marxist sociology majors who are destined for Starbucks when they graduate.

And to some extent these have been good influences, sexual predication and harassment are greatly reduced from a few decades ago, racist frat boys are learning to be more discrete, and the good ole boys club has been forced to accept a wider range of membership. On the other hand, there is nothing more irritating than self-appointed "judges" of intellectual and moral purity - and academics should know better:

Tom Brady is a cheater but the dude has been around and played at a high level long enough that his words in these conversations carry a lot of weight and I totally agree with him.

The league is so focused on what they claim to be player safety that they've legislated defense out of the game, when in reality it's not so much about player safety but increasing offensive production to appease to the short tension span of their younger fan base.

One can still focus on player safety without compromising the Integrity of the game.

Maybe when a guy who carries as much sway as Tom does speaks out things will change.

I doubt it though.

How else will they get female players? They will make it illegal to hit them.

It has been well established and requested ad nauseum for political talk to be eliminated from this forum.  The real question is why that can't be respected?  But fair enough, it's my choice whether I come here or not.

You are a little new to the Blog to be critical of @Desertbirds   He brings a perspective of academia in here and has for a couple decades now.  I found nothing "political” in anything he said.  Rather it was a cultural commentary.   Just like Dallas sucks is more than a commentary on the quality of football played at AT&T stadium.    If you only read that comment as such, then you have never been around Dallas fans and certainly never been to Dallas, a hellhole of snobbery that real Texans despise.   And it didn’t begin when Jerry Jones bought the team.

Now we just had discussions on the Civil War, kind of a longstanding tradition of long time posters in the Blog. You don’t have to participate in such discussions but griping about content is you trying to control a community you have chosen to join.  Wait until we discuss birds.  AFan gives great advise, skip what you don’t want to read.

I just assume we will be all football all the time soon enough. The countdown begins.

He doesn’t need to be all everything, which I always thought was the flaw in the way Doug and Press used him.  He blocks well.  He just needs to run his routes in a disciplined way and he will get open when the play is designed for him.  A 225 WR gets open a bit different than a 190 WR.  His agility has been a focus of mine.  But I do think he will do better for some slot routes.

And Gainwell was at the top.  Really more a reflection on which players the Eagles played and the focus.

Wisconsin / PSU with an offensive explosion in Week 1.

Franklin needs to cheerlead harder

And the level of competition. And PFFs weird ranking system. That nice catch and run was fun to see, and theoretically that type of receiver can be a nice contrast to our smaller quicker receivers. But with JJAW I'll believe it when I see it in real games. Hopefully Sirianni can work some magic.

You can dream.    Watching a couple games right now and recording a few other ones. Really looking forward to GA v Clemson.  Really like the Dawgs this year.

I just don’t see it with Spencer Rattler. He’s nothing special. The whole QB class next year sucks.

Naturally, Howie will trade up for him in the draft,
