Dallas is very good and has a very bright future. If the denial route is the route people are gonna go, good luck with that. I advise just accepting this reality now so you don’t torture yourselves later. They may not win Super Bowls but they will be in the mix and will be very good. They have too many young elite players at key positions.

Welp I did it. I bought my cowboy fan wife eagles cowboys tickets for Christmas. I'm going to end up fighting fellow eagles fans aren't I? Sigh

Maybe you have confidence in Howie finding a competent QB. I don't. And with no QB, Smith isn't reaching his full potential.

That's just not true. Great WRs don't need great QBs to be great. Like any great player, they make those around them great.

I wish we had a GM.

Smith is only ever going to be as good as the QB on the team allows him to be.  The Eagles don’t have an answer at QB.

That just isn't true unless of you feel like Smith is only capable of being an okay WR that can only succeed with a great QB.  Great WRs are great no matter who is throwing to them and we see this with great WRs around the league.

So with this logic I guess Hurts really sucks then

Smith is good but he’s barely a top 5 WR in the NFCE let alone the NFL

He's a frickin rookie. How about we wait and see a little. Jesus. WR is not a easy position for a Rookie. I'm perfectly satisfied with his rookie campaign. Especially with Hurts for a QB.  He will be a top NFL receiver.

He absolutely does as a QB.

Walker in , Newton to the bench

Calm down and just for a minute step away from your Bama and Eagles fandom.  I said Smith is good.  Justin Jefferson and DK Metcalf, remember their rookie years?

-Ja'Marr Chase going in to this week has 958 yards and 8 TD on 55 catches

-Jaylen Waddle has 88 catches for 849 yards and 4 TD

-Kyle Pitts has 709 yards (8 more than Smith at TE)

-Elijah Moore with the mess of a Jets team has 548 yards and 5 TD

-Pat Freiermuth has 7 TD as a TE

I'm not worried about Smith as a WR.  I don't think he's ever going to be a top WR in the NFL.  He might be a top 10-15 WR

Micah Parsons is the kind of LB that comes along every decade or so.  He's the best defensive player in the NFL.

Smith over Parsons is insane. Parsons could be a 20 sack guy in the NFL

don’t be homers

Parson with our Def scheme/coaching would have been a bust. Dallas DC actually is creative and mixes up his defensive play calls moves Parsons around. So with our coaching staff in place, Smith was the best choice for this team.

I think as usual the expectations the blog puts on players is detached from reality.

DeVonta has had a good rookie year.  He has flashed what makes him special.  He's clearly the best WR on the team as a rookie and will only get better and I bet he comes up huge for us down the stretch as we try to make this playoff push.

Has anyone ever sat in C40 at eagles game? Dad got me them for a Christmas present.

Like clockwork, Dallas is playing and all I see in here us slurping of Parsons.

Hes having a great start to his career, but let’s slow down on generational talent talk. Too early for that

That’s what I’ve been saying for a while now. When you think about it, spending a top 10 pick on a player who is 100% dependent on the QB, where you have huge question marks, it’s not the best use of resources.  Smith is good but he’s barely a top 5 WR in the NFCE let alone the NFL.

Parsons is a generational type LB and the best defensive player in the NFL.

Eagles passed on him.

Ahh.......no.

Also love how the same people beating the drum saying the Eagles should have drafted Parsons had so little interest in him prior to the draft.  I remember for much of the offseason pushing for them to take best defensive player available but everyone here had interest in only going WR/Pitts or a QB.

Parsons> Any Eagles defensive draft pick in the last decade

Sad face.

There's a few in here that everytime Dallas is playing they wanna blow Parsons.

I think maybe they're closet Cowboy fans.

For good reason. The guy is all over the field and is unstoppable.  It's not just this week, it's every week.  It sucks to admit it because he's a Cowboy.  It sucks even more because the Eagles COULD have taken him.

It's more annoying hearing the announcers slobbing him up now.

I have season tickets in section 229 but I had seats also in C17, last row right behind the away owner box. Club section is nice. Good views, little bigger seats, own entrance, a better variety of selection of foods and beverages. However fans usually arent as fun since its alot of company owned seats and not always the same group of fans. Just wasn't worth the 6k a season anymore plus my 229 seats.

Remember when Jeremy Shockey was the greatest TE ever as a rookie?

Give it time.

Parsons is a rookie, has 12.5 sacks and the dude has elite speed as an edge rusher, he Fing barrels people over with his bull rush like they aren't even there. He's instinctive, he can cover out in space. What can't he do?

If people are too mentally fragile to handle complimenting a player on another team, that's your problem you gotta deal with.

Also, don't slobber over the Cowboys for draft savvy.

They needed a CB, but the best two were gone.  There wasn't a DL worthy of that slot.  They already had plenty of WRs.

It came down to Parsons or Slater.  Either would have looked good for them.

There is difference between admitting the other team made a good choice versus extrapolating that to mean we made a mistake.
