Parsons is a rookie, has 12.5 sacks and the dude has elite speed as an edge rusher, he Fing barrels people over with his bull rush like they aren't even there. He's instinctive, he can cover out in space. What can't he do?

If people are too mentally fragile to handle complimenting a player on another team, that's your problem you gotta deal with.

So your saying the Bengals should have taken Parsons over your boy and ultimate love of the draft,  Ja'Marr Chase?

In the end 10 teams passed on Parsons. Give it a rest.

A player won't always be the same player on a different team. Coaching, Scheme etc plays a big role. You have to give the cowboys credit for using him the right way

Newton back in.

There is difference between admitting the other team made a good choice versus extrapolating that to mean we made a mistake.

The Eagles have made plenty of mistakes, no need to reach on that with Smith... and with Parsons... the Eagles never had a shot at him.  Dallas doesn't make the trade if the Eagles' had Parsons as the target.

I have season tickets in section 229 but I had seats also in C17, last row right behind the away owner box. Club section is nice. Good views, little bigger seats, own entrance, a better variety of selection of foods and beverages. However fans usually arent as fun since its alot of company owned seats and not always the same group of fans. Just wasn't worth the 6k a season anymore plus my 229 seats.

The boring fan thing might be a blessing in disguise seeing as how my wife is a cowboy fan lol.

Also, don't slobber over the Cowboys for draft savvy.

They needed a CB, but the best two were gone.  There wasn't a DL worthy of that slot.  They already had plenty of WRs.

It came down to Parsons or Slater.  Either would have looked good for them.

They didn't NEED at CB.  They invested pretty decent draft capital in the last 2-3 drafts in their CB.  Took Diggs a year to become what he is.

The Eagles needed, DL, LB, S, CB, QB and yes WR because Howie continually misses.  The Eagles didn't need to take Smith.

We've been told they took Dallas Goedert so the Cowboys couldn't draft him.  EVERYONE knew Dallas wanted Parsons once Pitts was gone.  If there was ever a chance to screw Dallas, it was to take Parsons, who many tabbed as the best player in the draft if not for his character concerns.

It’s more "Parsons would’ve better the right pick in hindsight” than it is "Howie made an obvious mistake.”

This isn’t passing on Jefferson for Reagor.

People discuss hypothetical scenarios it’s what sports fans do. In a vacuum if someone wants to ask who you’d rather have Parsons or Smith, I don’t think it’s particularly close right now.

Agree with what you're saying.  To add to it though...if the Eagles don't pass on Jefferson, they don't have to draft Smith as many allude to and are able to take Parsons.

And are unable to make the trade up with the Cowboys because the Cowboys don't trade with the Eagles and let them land Parsons to their own detriment.

Parsons was never really an option for the Eagles.  Yes, they traded up... but only because they weren't targeting Parsons.  And sure, they could have lied about their target and then taking Parsons, but then teams lose interest in trading with you in the future... that's a short term win, long term big loss type move.  Not a good business strategy.

This is true as well. Which is why the "enough talking about Justin Jefferson" stuff making the rounds on social media is annoying.

People won't stop talking about it until Howie is fired. As long as Howie remains in the building it will continue to haunt Eagles fans in more ways than one.

People are not just going to move on when the dude who blew up the franchise remains employed, and they have to be reminded about it once a week for 16-17 times a year. Nor should they move on. I implore all fans to be as bitter as possible. Bitterness invokes passion and anger, which is what the fan base needs right now.

For good reason. The guy is all over the field and is unstoppable.  It's not just this week, it's every week.  It sucks to admit it because he's a Cowboy.  It sucks even more because the Eagles COULD have taken him.

It's more annoying hearing the announcers slobbing him up now.

This season...who's better?

Isn't that what some of you are doing on here? 😄😄

Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, Bosa's to name a few.

Not saying Parsons isn't good.  But let's pump the brakes on his HOF career after 12 games.

Best defensive rookie?  I agree.  Best defensive player overall in the NFL?  No.

It's funny that's what Cowboys Twitter is saying....."Parsons is the best defensive player in the NFL".   Don't listen to those idiots.

Yea, but that's just bad on Howie.  A great GM can mask who he's targeting in the draft so he CAN make that trade with the Cowboys.  You don't have to lie about who you're target is but you sure as heck can hide your intentions.

The real reasons you don’t take Parsons is because of the second contract. Maybe it was just immaturity, but his history suggests he’ll become one of the fat and lazy guys.

Micah Parsons is awesome, but we had to take a WR/CB in RD1 last year. It was not only a massive need, it was BPA in the draft. Other teams that needed LBs (Panthers, Broncos, Lions) are all passed on him too. Hell, the Falcons took a TE over him.

It's hindsight.

Reagor/Jefferson is the opposite. People were very upset at the time.

It's funny how people forget draft prospect character concerns 3/4 of the way through their rookie season.

He's getting the defensive hype and it's deserving.

Hearing them say:

"maybe they should have Parsons line up to return punts, he does everything else"

"There's Parsons doing pushups on the sidelines because of course he's that kind of guy"

or showing him drop 30 yards downfield which has no effect on the play and gushing over it.

That's what I was talking about.

Howie... bad GM.   Fits for me.

The seeds were sown years before.  Reagor over Jefferson?   Hurts in Round 2 over Chinn?   JJAW at the urging of the owner versus just about anyone else available.  Sydney Jones in Round 2 of 2017.   Barnett in 2017.

Speaking of Reagor, any chance they could convert him to CB?  There was a thread saying to convert him to RB but corner seems more logical seeing as though WR isn't for him.

Yup.

He fought teammates + was involved in hazing.

Couldn't he be a Ty Montgomery kind of guy?  He's carved out a nice little career (one I would never use a 1st round pick on) as a WR/RB weapon.

Nope.  Reagor doesn't have that in him.

It was way more than just that.

People would have been rioting if we took a LB in the first round over a WR
