Didn't Juju turn down a nice contract from the Eagles last offseason?   And Gallup has already been contaminated.  So big NO to those two.

Didn't know about Juju turning down the Eagles. Maybe second time is a charm.

Really digging the footage of Ezukanwa out of Texas Tech. Has all the makings of an impact player. Great size, hands, route running. Could open things up for Smith. Probably still there in the 4th round when Eagles pick.

We're winning regardless of the QB. Howie's built a good offensive roster 😬

FA WR or draft in 2022?

Torn on this one.

FA Class looks legit at the position (Juju, Robinson, Gallup to name a few)

But also intrigued by mid round gems like Ezukanwa, Ross, Pickens (he if goes)

Big-bodied, possession WR to complement Smith and Watkins could be a gamechanger.

(JJAW sold separately batteries not included)

Hurts SWAG with JuJu's TikToking would get Jeff and Howie so many points with the casual younger fans. I can't imagine the comments we would see.

I'd generally say sign a FA WR based off of the Eagles poor ability to draft productive WR but the meat of the FA class are all in the 28 age range and will command large contracts.

Christian Kirk and DJ Chark are both 26 and guys in their prime who I would have interest in but they are just complimentary WR. I'd prefer a lead dog that allows Smith to be a WR2.

FWIW, Christian Kirk has nearly identical numbers to DeVonta Smith.  He's at 50 catches for 632 yards and 4 TD and hasn't played week 13 yet.  Smith is at 50 for 701 and 4 TD.

when you break contract that both parties agree because you want to make more it's greed. Bet you they wont sign a 1 year deal either. The fact that they have buy out clauses is all you really need to know.

And yes, the transfer portal will get crazier as these big names college start getting new and different coaches.

So you have a problem with only Riley about this? He unlike Kelly at least address the team and told them he was leaving and waited for OU season to be over with. Who cares that he left to go elsewhere. I'm happy he did being a Trojans fan. Coaches have options just like these kids

Yea it was a 3 year deal worth almost 30 mil if I remember right

We're 10th in weighted DVOA despite everyone saying our QB sucks. If Hurts is awful, and we're 10th in DVOA, then we have a good offensive roster. Can't have it both ways.

My heart wants the Eagles to win out and make the playoffs. Especially because doing so means beating the NFCE four times in a row.

My mind knows they won't get far in the tournament and it will negatively impact draft positioning.

Quite the quanudrum.

One of my favorite things about the end of the season as silly as it sounds.  It's a chance to get a free look and control over players who you might not have had a chance on earlier in the year.  It's another reason I'm kind of irked why they have 8 CB on the roster while only playing 4-5 of them. I think you could easily stash 2 of them on the PS and bring in a WR/LB/DL from another teams PS.

They have 10 DBs on the roster because Nelson, Harris and McLeod are gone next year.  They will have Maddox, McPhearson and Gowan to battle it out for Nelson’s spot next season , Scott as the back up nickel and Vincent potentially playing a Jack of all Trades role in the secondary.   They just stashed McCain and they got Mayden some playing time.  Howie is doing a lot of manipulation of secondary potential already and pretty much better than what he could grab at that position off PSs. They elevated the PS OL most likely to be poached.  Curious as to which LBs, DL and WRs you’ve seen onnother teams’ PS that are worth poaching.

My heart wants Hurts to leave town and take his humpers with him

Schefter reported he turned down a multi year, worth more.  from the eagles to stay in Pittsburgh.

Juju claimed he loved Pittsburgh and the fans.

I think that was his agent talking and not the truth.  Schefter backed off the report:

Maddox is the nickel CB, please don't mess with him now.  He has his new contract and a home in the secondary.  He is NOT an outside CB.  I'm curious how many teams have a back up nickel as well as back up outside CB.

Ideally, I would like to see the DB look like this.

2 starting outside CB          2022- Slay and ?

1 starting nickel back         2022- Maddox

1 dime back                          2022- McPhearson/Chachere

1 CB/S                                   2022- Vincent

2 starting safeties (interchangeable, no more FS/SS)            2022- Epps and ?

1 backup safety                                                                              2022- ?

Chachere and McPhearson have both proven to be pivotal ST players but you'd like to see them contribute on defense moving forward.   I also haven't looked at other PS to see who is poachable.

Goedert.

Maybe Hightower gets a chance to show he's shed the dropsies.

barely throw to him either.

Hurts only throws to Smith and Goedert.

So we're winning this week.

There is a chance the lists get pretty long for every team.

EDIT: An unusually high number of positive COVID-19 tests on Monday has the NFL and NFL Players Association considering further changes to the league's coronavirus protocols as the regular season enters its final four weeks.

I watched Wilson yesterday and I don't see why people would hate to have him as an Eagle. Even with a bad o-line and injury he could get the ball downfield.

I think the issue is the cost analysis and the age of Wilson.  But, my post had nothing to do with Wilson at all, other than what the FO was thinking when they drafted Hurts.   Hurts' college game didn't match Wilson at all.

I just had Wilson on my mind after seeing him play. I think he would be worth a single first round pick. Then again, I think he hates Philadelphia.

Carson Wentz literally had a big pile of garbage at WR to throw to last year.  It's unbelievable.

Alshon Jeffry is not playing.  Fulgham just got released from a practice squad.  Desean is on his 2nd team and has caught 14 passes in 12 games.

I know there's unhappiness at how great Micah Parsons has been, but it's nice to actually have a real WR at the top of the depth chart.

He had Greg Ward, what more do you need??
