Completely agree, and I would add Rodgers. No one is playing better than Rodgers right now.

Interestingly, the media was 100% supporting him in doing that.

I mean I think Watson was rightfully upset at the Texans trading Hopkins for a bag of chips. I think their FO and management is dysfunctional.  They made the problem worse by promising him input in coaching decisions and then ignoring him.  I don't think Watson wasn't at fault for demanding a trade. I certainly don't think it was crazy out of line given the circumstances. I mean was Eli a bad person for telling San Diego he didn't want to play for them and making them trade him.

Running QB running instead of distributing

When teams with Running QB's start winning the majority of Superbowls, instead of teams with elite pocket passing QB's (some of who can run on top of being an elite pocket passer) Thats when I will believe in that style.

But as I sit here, I will tell you unless players like Murray and Lamar Jackson can become elite pocket passers, they will fall short of winning the SB (unless they have an "all decade Defense" or better) And the window for sucess is really short lived with running QB's. Lots of flash - thats it.

Yes I certainly thought less of him for doing that. He was a whiny little bish

No chance NYG avoids the OL in the first round.   I’d love for them to take Karliftis that early.

Betting on the Giants to make the smart pick?

Foles is my last jersey I’ll ever get

I might get a Hurts Jersey just to make sure he is gone next year.

I mean all the Jerseys I buy, the player is gone like the next year.

The Get Up crew talked with McShay about our QB status and he said the same thing Daniel Jeremiah said a little while ago:

No QB in this year's draft is enough of an upgrade over Hurts to warrant a 1st rd selection, but if the Eagles can get Wilson/Watson/Rodgers, go get one of them.

They will be on the discount rack soon enough

Not a bad person just a whiney little B.

Doesn't mean he wasn't a whiny bish. Both things can be true.

But at what cost? Defense needs help from the draft

What cost if we dont have a legit QB?  The cost for not having a legit QB is throwing away another year to two.

It’s his attempt at being sarcastic.  But once again, he has an ignorant take.

It's not ignorant.  Just something you don't agree with.

I can understand your point of view and disagree with it without having to attack your character.

Would you trade all 3 first rounders for Wilson, Watson, or Rodgers?

Yup, this is a QB driven league. If you don't have one, you are wasting your time. Just look at Denver the last few seasons.

David Ojabo's testing will be fascinating. He's the #2 EDGE on his team, so he got less attention, but he might test as a top 3% EDGE. Odafe had zero sacks last year and had a good rookie year.

I have no issue betting on traits at EDGE.

I don't see Murray in the same category as Jackson.  Murray has an above average arm.  He also has been a good pocket passer when he's not pressured.  He does tend to look to escape too quickly when pressured.   I don't think developmentally he's at the same level as Jackson.  Jackson is a running QB that is learning to pass. He's not Hebert but he's further along than Allen was at this point in his career.

In a heart beat. In a normal Year we get 1 1st rd pick. We hit on about 30-50% of our high draft picks under howie. We could pick 3 players with those picks and still not have a player who will make as much of an impact as an ELITE QB.

I would gladly trade all 3 1st rd picks this year for a legit QB whom we could have for 5-6 years. We would still have every other pick this year and all our picks next year.

We have lived that out for many many years. We finally are in a psoition with the capital we have and the possibility that 3 possible elite QB's might be avail. That NEVER HAPPENS.

Would you trade the following players for Wilson/Watson/Rodgers:

Dillard

Reagor

DeVonta

These are Howie's last 3 first round picks.

As much as I love DeVonta and think that he will be a franchise WR, I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

The prospect of having 3 first rounders is mesmerizing, until you are hit with the reality that Howie will be making them.

1) Murray may become a good pocket Passer.

2) I dont see jackson the same way- not sure he ever get there. Dont know if it is just easier for him to rely on his legs.

3) I see Josh Allen as light years ahead of both as a pocket Passer.

This is limited to my own perspective of the games I have watched all three of them in this year. Jackson impresses me the least as a pocket passer. (Not talking about his arm ability- talking about reading and reacting to what the defense is doing, knowing where he should go with the ball, both pre and post snap) Then Murray and again Allen leads them both in actual pocket passing.
