Looks like Hurts is starting QB so I'll have to change my prediction

WFT 23, Eagles 17

Herbig and Opeta at OG on either side of Kelce will slow down the running game quite a bit.  Putting the ball in Hurts' hands to win the game with his arm has been a losing proposition.  This game could be really sloppy with WFT missing a few players and coaches -- I have a hunch this place will be very cranky Tuesday night.

Bold predictions -- Hurts less than 60%, 2+ INT

Where did you hear Hurts is starting?

So DIllard and Dickerson now on the COVID list - watch us lose 3 more Olineman before tomorrow night. And the NFL wont reschedule it again.

Would anyone trade for Trey Lance with Jimmy G playing so well?

^^ This.

@LeanMeanGM WFT - 17, Eagles 10

Bonus: Eagles lose 2 more lineman to reserve/COVID by gametime tomorrow.  Whoever starts the game at QB won't finish because of an injury sustained during a sack.

Lmao

Can absolutely see more OL going down.

If any OT goes down against Washington, we're in trouble.

Niners have made their decision at QB.  Jimmy G is a $27M cap hit next season, but only $1.4M to cut.

The question is whether a team will trade for him knowing they need to extend him, or will teams wait for SF to cut him.  With the shortage of available QBs in the draft there's certainly a chance a team will trade a pick for him.

A good running game travels and the AFC teams dont impress me much

A good running game really travels in the play offs too. I don't want Wentz to make the AFCCG but they've got a really good chance. Good defense, good run game.

No excuses for Hurts if he plays, he needs to beat Washington.

You do realize what SF gave up to move up to get Trey Lance?

I think it would be more of a safe bet that they trade Jimmy G and him playing well only helps them get more.

Lance is going no where.

He won’t beat Washington.

Would be his first division win of his career.

I wouldn't.  He didn't impress me much as a complete QB going in to the draft.  A lot of his highlights were running plays and Lance trucking guys, not avoiding tackles.  We have that already in Hurts.  He might have more arm talent than Hurts but we know nothing about this staff and their ability in developing quarterbacks.  If you trade for him, it better be a 3rd rounder which SF would be silly to do.  He's still the future for them as Jimmy is 31 next year.

I wonder if there's any chance Rodgers can mend things in GB.  They brought back Randall Cobb, Adams is a top 5 WR.  He still has a great situation and if the Packers are smart they invest more around him.  If they do, maybe Jordan Love is an option.

Thats my point. I wouldnt be shocked if the colts surpass the titans for the 3/4 seed.

If I'm the colts I'm not worried about Cinncy, Tennessee(with out Henry) Browns, Chargers or the Bills.

So that leaves Patriots and the Chiefs. Would anyone be really shocked if the team with a better run game went into a cold weather stadium took the air out of the ball and won 20-13?

Agreed agreed. I mean I also don't think any of those teams should be worried about the Colts either. But you're absolutely right the Colts would fancy their chances in any of those games.

I'd put a lot of money down right now that Rodgers stays in GB. It makes zero sense for him to leave regardless of if they win it all this year or not and I think him and the organization are in a different place now than they were last summer. He's not going anywhere.

Kirk cousins gonna have to try real hard to blow this primetime game

This is where the blind hate term comes to play. Carson is above average...well above average in almost every throwing stat, every team stat, every analytical stat. The only number he's average at is yards per game and thats because they usually have a blow out going into the 4th and run the ball.

up 24 going into the 4th against Houston, up 23 in the 4th to the dopins. up 27 in the 4th against houstin, up 32 against the jets, up 38 aginst the Bills, ya no **** his passing numbers are down.

And I love the Cousins, Ryan T, Jimmy G Comp because now that Carson is in a similar offense he's blowing away guys like Jimmy G and Ryan T and Cousins stats basically mirror each other.

And if you compare baker to Wentz, it's basically saying Hurts is better then wentz is truly dumb. Baker and Hurts are EXACTLY the same guy QB wise, Hurts just runs better.

Guy 1, 2400 yards, 13TD's 8 picks 13th in points,

Guy 2, 2600 yards,  13TD's 7 picks 20th in points

Guy 3, 3100 yards 23 TDs,  6 picks,  3rd in points per game

I mean you're talking about yards but the team is an average passing team that is winning by running the ball.  They are running the ball to score.  This isn't an Andy Reid era pass first and then run with the lead.  If you want to talk about stats, you should look at his completion percentage where's 26th in the League. His yards an attempt where he's 19th.  Maybe even the number of 4th quarter comebacks he's led the team to this season.  I mean it's 0 which I think puts him in last place.  But wait there's more, how about Indy's DVOA in the passing game? It's 17th in the League.  That seems slightly below average and it takes into account the competition and team performance.  Of course that's not all, let's look his DYAR (adjusted yards above replacement) where he's 14th and below Cousins, Carr, and Jimmy G.  He's just played mediocre.  I haven't included Hurts in the conversation because Hurts is relevant to the discussion unless someone is calling him an above average QB.  I am not calling Hurts that but I don't think Wentz has performed well enough to shake the concern he caused last season.

I don't hate Wentz at all.  I don't root against him.  I am torn about wanting the Colts to do poorly because I think if Wentz looked great it makes Howie look foolish.  He's had some good games.  He hasn't been the reason they have won any game.  He's been a game manager in games they have won.  He's been unable to lead them to wins in higher scoring games.  He doesn't look like the 2019 Wentz where he's putting a bad offense on his back.  He's having a bounce back year.  He still may improve and get back to where he was.  He is still struggling with mechanics and decision making that creates inaccurate throws that limit the offense.

Hopefully, Kirk will silence all of the doubters about his ability to choke away a gimme win.
