Agreed.  Its almost like it was foolish to make him the highest paid OG in the NFL after his first Achilles' injury... after turning 30... Generally speaking, players don't get healthier as they get older.  Nor was it necessary at the time.  He had TWO years left on his deal when they renegotiated that contract.  It was an unnecessary deal to make at the time.   And since that renegotiated deal he's played 9 games... out of a possible 36 and counting.  He finished 2019 season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.  Busted his other Achilles for all of 2020.  Now a pec strain caused him to miss all but two games of 2021.    It's almost like aging injured players can't be paid for their past performances, because they can't be expected to match that in the future.  Once a player is past their prime, you can't pay them like they still are in their prime.   Whenever the phrase "when healthy" is tossed about in reference to a player, you have to recognize that that particular player cannot be paid at the highest rate of the NFL and expect to get good ROI out of it.   But, Howie has done this with over half a dozen players... and some folks wonder why the Eagles found themselves in cap trouble.   Poor investments.  And then there's his voided years tacked on at the end and the constant rolling of things to the future... almost Ponzi scheme like in its function.

I think he's a great dude, I think he's a great player... when healthy.   But, his contract is another albatross for this franchise.

Yup

It could be that but I just think his body is taking longer to heal from the injury.  I mean it's a pectoral injury.  Even if the tear heals, his strength is going to be impacted to the point where he likely needs to build it back before he's cleared to play.

That was the year of my one and only cruise, by far my best vacation.   Wife put me and her on Frontier Airlines, and remnants of old Value Jet stickers were still on the plane, ugh.
If they’re too cheap to grab some WD-40 or Bug Be Gone to clean off old sticker mess, plus it’s already a Dollar Store Airline, how well was the rest of the plane maintained?
It wasn’t my last flight, but it was for that Airline.

🤮

Delta or United first class 3/4 of the time. I have so many miles/card points from work travel the past decade I hope I never fly coach again.

Oh, I abhor air travel, but if I have to I have to.

The last time we faced a journeymen back-up QB on Tuesday Night Football did not end well for us...

Hope Hurts can handle the CB blitz better than Vick.

What happens if Garrett Gilbert has a better stat line tonight than Jalen Hurts?

Gilbert is better than people realize. I was a little surprised Dallas cut him in the preseason. He has history with Rivera and their OC Scott Turner. He'll play okay for them.

"He didn't have Dickerson or Dillard and the ankle is clearly bothering him"

I wonder if Gilbert can handle the pressure of having a career night on national tv...

I bet he goes something like............  22-31  293   2tds  1 int and gets the Dubya

Nothing really, if at all. He'll still finish out the season and be replaced after.

Winfield's 2 sacks felt like 8.

Also lets see what other shoe drops at 4PM regarding the Eagles and any new positives.

I wouldn't be shocked if that happens

Still looks like he's walking funny unless that's just the SWAG taking over
