If Kelce gets all pro he's a lock for the HOF.

the chargers (good opponent— scored 24).

saints have a good defense. However with siemian who is a turnover machine and kills that defense. There’s a reason the saints found themselves down 14 or more in the 4th quarter in every game he started.

Denver where the offense scored 23 (slay had a return td after our offense was outgained 130-25 in the third quarter)

OT from your quote.

Denver, Saints, and the Panthers have good defenses, if Horn comes back healthy for the Panthers and Gilmore stays, with their pass rush, a good QB will have that team in the playoffs next season. Same for the Saints and Denver.

Hurts is getting all the press because it was a Tuesday night game that he was good in, if it was a Sunday game his play wouldn’t have been covered by the National media nearly as much.   He’s played really well in two games all season, Atlanta and Washington, all the games in between don’t make him a starter for next season, plus if last nights game was the Giants disaster, the National media would of buried him especially Simms, and some would question Siriani’s job security, one game hot takes don’t make a starting QB in the NFL.
He needs to string together these last 4 games or he likely won’t even be considered to be a starter on the Eagles next season.

How the F is Sweat any kind of Pro-bowl alternate?

The pro-bowl is so diluted that the main players are those not good enough to be in the playoffs, and the alternates are those just above average

The fact that Kyler murray is a pro bowler over Stafford is laughable. They have the same record, Stafford is completing 68% of his passes thrown for over 4000k, 35 tds and 10 ints. Some fluff stats in there but still better than murray and played every game this year and hasn’t been mediocre or out for the last 6 weeks

Murray missed nearly a quarter of the season. Stafford is actually having a pro bowl season. Additionally Dak has had similar production to  murray. Both Dak and murray haven’t been great lately. murray has not been very good since returning from his injury. Since missing 3 weeks and coming back he has thrown 3 tds, 3 ints and 2 rushing tds. Completing 62.8% of his passes. Has fumbled 4 times and fortunate not to lose any. He really hasn’t been that good since coming back. He got into the pro bowl starter the first 8 weeks. Cause the last 6 games he’s missed half and hasn’t been that good. Got killed by the lions.

don’t even get me started on lamar being on that team over josh Allen. That’s a flat out embarrassment when you look at the numbers and how both have played this year. lamar has been bad lately even before he got hurt. In his last 7 starts he’s thrown 8 tds with 10 ints.

I think he’s going to wind up being their best option as i don’t see them getting Wilson, watson or rodgers. I think they try their damnest to get one. Frankly i think watson and Wilson would be dumb not to want to play behind our oline compared to what they have had to deal with most of their careers. That said don’t see either coming here.

Unless the eagles think someone like Pickett ( i really like him) or some other QB is a significant upgrade to what hurts is I think they likely have him back as the starter.

The only Center possibly holding back Kelce from a 4th 1st Team All Pro is Creed Humphrey.

I did say sometimes late. He was a tad late on that ball, allowing the S to get in position but he also threw it where Goedert could contest for it, and did, successfully. Hurts’ biggest issue is that he reads until he sees the receiver open, then throws it allowing the window to tighten. But he has a tendency to avoid contested throws and has been doing a good job of working away from that. Still bothered by his not reading to anticipate the receiver open but he is improving.  Another QB that drove me nuts by not reading to anticipate the receiver being open early in his career was McNabb.

He threw it up for grabs bro. You are trying to make it sound like he planned it and it was a great or even good play on his part. He was very fortunate there, again it was in the dbs hands before Goedert wrestled it away. I'll take it and was happy when he completed it and it was a very good night for him as a passer but...................................

For the list to be meaningful, it has to be weighted by distance required for a 1st down.

Why isn't the quarterback responsible for the first 2 downs?

Anyone using this stat doesn't understand football.

Kirk Cousins throws short of the stick all the time on 3rd down. Who cares.

3rd down conversions matter, not completion %.

Your love for Hurts is out of control

If you're at the top of that list, it's probably because you're in a lot of short 3rd downs. If you're at the bottom, you're probably in a lot of 3rd & 10+.

Again, is the quarterback not responsible for the first 2 downs?

I scoff at this suggestion … Creed didn’t even make to the pro-bowl.

At this point I’d be happier if they didn’t play the game - and made it a madden tournament or something else competitive.

Not in this context. Perhaps when it’s beneficial to the argument he presents later, then yes, he will be.

Ok, Blog, do your thing.

Hurts is a pro bowl alternate??? Amazing...

Singleton may as well have made it.

Irrelevant.  Pro Bowl is much more a popularity contest than All-Pro.   That's not to say that All-Pro is flawless, but it's a better measurement than Pro Bowl.

Orlavsky is spot on on this play

Hurts stays in the pocket takes his drop makes the correct read delivers the ball on time

Also the pass blocking on the play is really good.

One could gripe about the WR deep breaking open but as said at that point that WR is probably the 4th read in that play.

If it were a Doug Pederson play I'm guessing the deep WR would have been the first read as Doug wanted qbs to go deep to short on their progression.

Good play by hurts, if he can consistently make plays like that from the pocket then the eagles offense along with that running game could be really good.

I'm pretty sure that is 100% what people are concerned about.   And it looks like this is his first read... which is another criticism.  Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.

The pro bowl is a joke but if sweat is an alternate that's a sad commentary on DEs around the league

Hargrave and Elliot deserve it.
