I did not know that.

I'm not a big fan of Popeyes, their chicken is good but not a fan of their sides, when we get a bucket of chicken we usually go to churches.

Their sides are overrated. Just cause they throw some Cajun spice on it people think they are above everyone else.

Popeye's side dishes are the worst in the business.  Those biscuits make good door stoppers

They are all dried out and cold all the time. The Cajun gravy is decent though

Also makes sense as to why BK fries are disgusting.

Yup.

We got some green beans there once that looked like they were straight out if a can from 1950, my kids wouldn't eat them, that was the last time we went, and their biscuits are super salty, mash taters nothing to brag about, I don't like their Cajun gravy or what ever it is

My kids like most kids live Mac n cheese and theirs is sub par as well, me I'm a slaw guy and their slaw tastes funky as well and their cob corn is always over cooked.

D20. JR posted with him on his site.  When the Blog first started, they were some of the best posters on here and that included Lawler, Alkire, Lynch.  I always liked his film breakdowns.

Agreed.  I mean, none of them holds a candle to me... but they were alright, I guess.

I stay away from fast food corn on the cob. That sheet sits in water all day 🤮

Popeyes spicy chicken is the Mahomes of the chicken sandwich world.

I ate at a Popeyes in Columbus Ga. When my son was graduating basics at Fort Benning. While we were eating there a roach literally crawled up the wall beside our table. Haven't really ever thought about eating at a Popeyes since. Now Wendy's chicken sandwiches are the best in my book. Asiago ranch spicy................................................:groovy:

I dont bother with subway. But on the rare occasion that I do, I order the cheesesteak. Its not a good cheesesteak but its the best thing subway makes.

You are disqualified from all future food conversations.

burger king is disgusting but I did try their new hand breaded chicken sandwich. Not surprisingly, it was disgusting.

Don't try to sweet talk your way back into the food conversation.  :P

You actually like subway?

No.  I hate subway.  And the cheesesteak is an affront to food everywhere.   Claiming that that is the best thing they make is just the most un-Philadelphian thing I think I've ever seen posted on here.

I worked at Subway back in the day.

Theyre steak comes in a big plastic bag, pre cooked with the green peppers and onions mixed in the bag.

In the morning we'd portion it out into little paper containers  then before one puts it in the sandwich wed nuke it, which makes the steak all rubbery.

I'm sure it's probably the same "steak" they use in dog food and taco bell, low quality fatty scraps.

Jersey Mike's uses higher quality meat, and fire house subs, which I don't like steams their meat instead of microwaving it.

Subway though as far as Philly steaks, is at the very bottom of the quality totem pole

Agreed, you would have to eat their enough to even know that is their best sandwich, yuk!

I have been meaning to try a Jersey Mike's for a long time .

Wrong. Everything else sucks.  And a Cheesesteak is never the wrong choice.

Oh, that's a bummer.  Part of one of the last good SNL casts and great supporting roles in the early Sandler and Chris Farley films.

Yeah.

Jersey Mike's has a decent cheesesteak for a fast food place is probably a good as you can get.

Subway does the cheesesteak differently these days but it's probably still the same poor quality meat.

I go for the stickball there. Ham and salami with provolone.  Usually not on the menu at my local one but they make it anyway.

Jersey Mike's is very good.

No offense people did the same exact thing to wentz, foles, Vick and Bradford on something like that. I think that’s just ingrained in being an Eagles fan that you have to **** about something even if they play well

No lie. My father still complains about the Super Bowl, specifically the way the Patriots drove the ball on their last ditch drive. He still feels anguish watching Gronkowski get out of bounds to stop the clock.

I like jersey Mike's, they can get a little crazy with the oil and vinegar so I ask for it light, but they slice their own meat and cheese and it's a higher quality meat than subway, which isn't saying much but still but I think it's good and well priced

If I have the time and I want a sub though I go to the local grocery store deli that has boarshead meats and cheeses and get that

Super high quality custom meats and cheeses plus their own high quality custom condiments( spicey mustards ect...)

Boar's head is where it's at for subs

I actually love wawa subs but in my defense I don't have any good local deli around here, just pizza shops that just throw Dietz and Watson on store bought rolls.
