Some well allocated WR resources.

Giants fans were trying to convince themselves that Toney was not that far off from DeVonta too...🤪

Which is how it should be. If they really want the 7th seed, earn it. Getting help for it is embarrassing.

Unless you are Joe Judge, and you are then not embarrassed to complain about not getting help to back into the playoffs as a 6 win team.

He was pretty trash, honestly.  A lot of the throws that were completed were bad.

A few of the drops were 50/50 as well.  This is not absolving the bad hands that were displayed at times.

I knew there was something we could agree on.

Technically we could even clinch next week if we win and certain teams lose.

Now wouldn't that be something. Would be much better for the blood pressure for sure.

Get a de facto bye-week going into the playoffs, I can dig it.

Me too me too. Something tells me it isn't going to go that way though. That Dallas game is going to be huge and it's going to be win and in. I think anyway.

I'm not trying to be a downer.   But watching that offense in the first half was a painful experience... and if they are a playoff team, then that's not acceptable.  Of course... this might just be a team taking advantage of playing in a weak division and playing a 4th place schedule, getting the Jets as their 17th game and getting to face teams with injuries at their QB position and dealing with Covid protocols...Maybe they really aren't an 8 win team, but are just fortunate.

We need help to win though.

I see what you see.  But I'm parking the evaluation for a few weeks and living in the moment.

None of the solutions are going to happen now anyway.

We put up almost as many yards and more points against the Giants than the Cowboys did last week, so I guess if we are in trouble, so are they.

I agree that we aren't a perfect football team, but the notion that there is some kind of massive gap between us and the top teams in the league is really laughable at this point.

I'm hoping the slow start and awful first half was as a result of the short week.

Well, that makes me feel better.   I do wonder what some folks are seeing when they watch these games.

I saw a very messy offense at pretty much every level. Flags, drops, a QB struggling, a QB holding the ball too much and missing open guys and a HC who for some reason went away from what's made this team so good. But in the end they pulled it together and did what was needed.

Is it?

Games against teams in playoff position: 0-5.
Games against teams not in playoff position: 8-2.

It happens to every team. The Bucs just lost to a Saints team that didn’t even score 10 points.

We have a winning record with two games to go. We control our own destiny. We have one if the best rushing attacks in football. We have coaches that can adjust. Get to the playoffs. Give our coaches and young players that experience. The cap is fine. We have resources. There is so much to be excited about. Enjoy it.

Few thoughts.

Singleton showed up to hit, pads were Poppin.

Hurts Continues to struggle coming off his first read

The first almost Int, goedert was first read and when he was covered Instead of coming off it to his next read hurts starts scrambling around and directing goedert in the scramble drill til he forced it to a covered goedert.

On hurts fumble the first read was Sanders in wheel route, Sanders was covered so instead of looking for his second read he runs out of a pretty clean pocket and gets hit.

Two of his biggest plays were pretty poor throws with great adjustments by the WR, the big catch by Smith was under thrown and to the wrong shoulder, Smith made a great leap and adjustment in the ball

The long throw to Quez was an out breaking route and instead of leading a wide open Quez to the sideline he led Quez upfield into the DB, the announcer even right before the catch says uh oh...Quez makes a great adjustment and catch on a really poorly thrown ball.

The first RedZone FG Quez was obviously the first read while goedert broke on an out route wide open and hurts never comes off first read and tossed it to a covered watkins.syre hurts had pressure but qbs with better vision get that ball to Goedert for the TD not settle for chip shot FGs.( End hurts rant)

Thought Herbig looked good pulling on Boston's TD, Herbig moves much better this year than last since losing his baby fat

Can't believe Slay dropped that Int.

Was glad to see reagor make a big play, he even looked like he was running hard.

Lanes TD was highlight of the year so far!

Agreed.  Sirianni has shown himself well with revamping the offense, and Stoutland continues to be a master... not just as an OL coach, but as running game coordinator.  The passing game though... not as exciting.

The passing game is fine, watching film shows that play design is pretty darn good.  It's the person behind center that's the issue, which is why I hate this playoff talk.  We don't need any false hope that the smartest person in the room move was a good idea.  This FO already ran Doug out of town micro managing him, Siri seems like he can be a passable at the least NFL coach, I don't want to F this up again.

True.  But other playoff teams also beat other playoff teams.  This team hasn't, not even once.  We'll see if they can by the end of the season.

Not exactly.  Are we evaluating the QB, or are we not?  He wasn't good today.  The stats look nice, but he played very poorly, against a weak opponent.  Does that matter?   I believe it should.  Winning is great, but winning in the regular season with no chance of advancement in the playoffs is ultimately disappointing.  Or are we content to be the Bengals with Andy Dalton/Marvin Lewis?

It is nice that we won, but I refuse to delude myself that this is sustainable.

Sorry I thought the sarcasm was obvious

I feel like a lot of people will be upset come April
