There's a chance this blows up in my face, but whatever -- Brandon Staley is a fraud. If he were a bad press conference guy, he'd be getting demolished right now.

Give our coaches and young players that experience. The cap is fine. We have resources. There is so much to be excited about. Enjoy it.

Firstly I don't think the play off experience should be overlooked. That's big for some of these young players. They've shown tremendous mentality this year to get back to +500 after a 2-5 start. Secondly, yeah let's enjoy this. We watch football in the hope our team can win it all... This team still has a chance. Sure its a small chance but its a chance.

And yes... I'm saying there's a chance.

The passing game is fine, watching film shows that play design is pretty darn good.  It's the person behind center that's the issue, which is why I hate this playoff talk.  We don't need any false hope that the smartest person in the room move was a good idea.  This FO already ran Doug out of town micro managing him, Siri seems like he can be a passable at the least NFL coach, I don't want to F this up again.

Well, yes... I was being coy.  That's actually what I was meaning, but its not cool to say it.

I didn't see the game but was absolutely surprised by the score

Sadly Eagles 175 rushing streak ends at 7 but we still put up 130 yards on the ground.   Jalen only rushed for 2 for 7 yards, his lowest of the season.   But we got it done through the air.

I see what you see.  But I'm parking the evaluation for a few weeks and living in the moment.

None of the solutions are going to happen now anyway.

I get living in the moment, but we are so far removed from that SB season, what we are watching right now is the same thing we saw the Phillies try to do after winning the 08 WS.  The longer they are fooled into thinking this team can be competitive and make moves trying to 'extend' the window.  This team needs a complete retool and the potential coup we were hoping for in the draft is nothing now.

Not to mention losing Sanders before halftime. Losing Howard later in the game. Being pass heavy first half and then just managing the game in the 4th. 130 yards for this team feels like a letdown. Hell watching live it didn't feel like a very good run performance... And yet despite all of the above they still put up 130 yards.

That’s hilarious. I commented to my wife and son when the camera panned to Lane and Greg Ward talking after the play that it was two East Texas boys celebrating the TD.  Who knew?

Yes please!

Baja Oklahoma would be a good play name too.

You know why Texas doesn’t slide into the Gulf? Oklahoma sucks.

Baja Texas is Dallas because no self respecting Texan can admire that town.

What do you guys think of Devonta Smith's footwork?  Near elite level already?

1) What kind of s*** is Trent Williams on.

2) I think Jordan cracks into the 90s after today.

No worries.  No one else can either.

imagine if you will, for a minute, if he had an average qb throwing to him, he would be on elite level this year, even with cousins or someone avearge like him(no, I dont want cousins, even though he'd be an enormous upgrade}

The Chargers have a franchise QB and lose to the Texans. The Eagles blowout the Giants. It's hard to win in the NFL.

Exactly,  People might not have felt those passing yards were pretty but they helped to stretch the field, especially the Devonta and Qeuz passes while the running game stalled.   Shockingly like you said,  our ground game didn't look  good watching but we still got the 130 on the ground.

as much as I like godert, we need to look at another TE in the draft too, just not dependable enough

Yup

He's had a few toe tappers Already this year and it's something he showed he could do in college even though college only requires one foot in.

He has elite body control, I don't think any one ever questioned that.

Even on his long catch today his ability to stop and leap up and high  point  the ball was impressive

He's shown to be smooth route runner in and out of his breaks.

The biggest and only question with him was his weight, if he weighed 15 more pounds he's probably first WR taken.

His lack of weight hasn't shown to be much of a hindrance.

[McLane] In Dickerson’s first four games, he allowed 16 pressures in 177 pass snaps (9%), per Pro Football Focus. But in his next eight, he allowed only 9 pressures in 247 sets (3.6%).

Dickerson has been every bit as good as advertised, his pass pro has drastically improved as he's gotten comfortable, was dominant in the run since day 1.

Great article of Stoutland breaking down Dickerson's season and potential:

Most people don't know there's an East Texas, PA. It's kinda west/southwest of Allentown.

Dickerson was a gamble that looks to have paid off massively

Early returns are positive.   Of course, that Creed guy that was also available... he's also paying off massively, without the injury history.

Yup, Howie finally drafted from Bama, paid off in spades both times.
