no. that was not mediocre. not even close.

Disagree.  First half was bad.  2nd half wasn't.   He started what, 1-6?  Finished 16-23.  Hurts has deficiencies, but 16-23 isn't crap.

Yeah and the Chargers lost to the Texans today.

And the Bills lost to the Jags a few weeks ago.

And the Vikes lost to the Lions.

It's the NFL....it happens sometimes.

You're familiar with the phraseology of the exception vs the norm?

There is no question with Jalen Hurts that he will work to improve.  That is all he does.

I know he will work to improve.......as a passer.  But he still needs to show it and prove it on the field.  We will see.

Smith's body control is out of this world.

Was he 59?  Tall and lanky looking guy?  Couldn't tell if I saw that number out there but thought I did.

I dont know his number. But he is tall so probably.

While we all love that, it may not be enough, ultimately.   But let's have fun this season.

I can't recall Hurts ever throwing a deep pass to a receiver in stride.

It seems on every long pass, the receiver has to play like a centerfielder...

Teams lose games they aren't supposed to lose every week.  It happens.  Especially if it's a division rival.

Some of those completions were 4 yard passes on 3rd and 15. There was also an interception that the refs wrongly erased. It was nothing but bad.

I didn't really know much about Reagor before hearing about him pre-draft.  I watched many of his highlight videos and didn't really think he was anything special.

Obviously there is more to a player than youtube highlights but I didn't see what the big deal was with him.

In college he showed a lot more explosion on tape, he had a bunch of splash plays, his biggest thing was  concentration drops and some felt he mailed in his senior year after his college QB was so awful.

Whatever positives he showed in tape in college it sure hasn't translated to the pros where he's looked slower and sluggish with minor glimpses if any explosive ability.

Higgins though I liked the way he moved, for a big guy he could really sink his hips in and out if his routes and his catch radius is insane, he's not the fastest nor the strongest and won't jump out of the gym but he's pretty quick and big strong hands and knows how to get open.

Of course Howie and Doug were looking for speed guys so I'm sure they had guys like reagor well ahead if Higgins in their board but I always thought higgins was a far better receiver than reagor and well here we are now and today Higgins passed 1000 yards almost 200 yards today and 2 tds and reagor well he had 1 nice PR...😒

Week 2 the 91 yard bomb to Watkins was a good throw, in stride, if I remember correctly.

Not sure since then they've taken many deep shots.

There was also about 4-5 easy drops

You need to watch more closely.  While it isn't frequent, the throw to Goedert last week was, the trow to Quez that he dropped I the end zone was, the throw to Reagor a few weeks ago was, Ques and Reagor dropped them.  Stop being so negative.

So be it.  I disagree.  Not great but not the apocalypse you see.

Hurts stat line passing today looks very similiar to our last QB.  Both teams are defined by a dominant run game.

Maybe they are more similar than we thought.

Wow, BDN is doing it when it matters

Yup even that throw was only about 35-40 air yards on a 3 step drop rainbow that Watkins ran under then ran past the defense, it wasn't a laser that beat coverage or a bomb that traveled 60 air yards just a really good timing throw

His deep passing is not good. That much is clear.

It's not negativity, it's being realistic.  If you want to have an outlook that Hurts can possibly be a middle of the pack starter then go for it.  If you think he can be a top 15 QB, then I'm sorry.

And let's not forget this was essentially a Thursday game.  Winning a Thursday game, against a team that was on a regular weekly schedule, by 24 points is a good win.

Foles clutch as always...miss that guy.

I think I’m a Foles nut hugger
