Inexperience is his main flaw, as is for most young QBs.  He has all of the physical and mental tools to develop into a good QB. By all accounts he has tremendous work ethic and leadership skills, he's someone who lives, breaths and eats football.  Any issue with his game right now whether it be timing, reading a defense, processing plays are all things that will improve over time with expierence and comfort in the offense as well as built chemistry with the skill players.

This isn’t about Hurts.  You were asked very clearly what his weaknesses are.  You said his only weakness is inexperience.

You are not objective.

Aside from running and the much hyped leadership, what tools does he possess?

You are the same person who said his ONLY flaw as a quarterback is that he's young.

Sure sounds like an objective middle ground to me.

That ole je ne sais quoi, duh

Hearing that Montez Sweat's brother was fatally shot yesterday; unclear whether he'll play Sunday.  Horrible to lose family at anytime, but in this manner over the holidays is really awful.

Granted I haven't watched as much as I'd like to to form a solid opinion, but every time I've seen Elam he seems dead from the neck up.  Good athlete, just no brain.

Probably explains why he has drifted so far down the rankings on that site. I honestly reached a bit for him just to fill a CB in there. He used to be near the top 10, 2nd CB going off the board. Now hes borderline 2nd round.

as a kid, you were expected to come home at dinner time , otherwise, you were expected to not be in the house. LOL

You went places without cell phones, or money, or bottles of water, you rode bikes without wearing helmets, and survived it all.

And you had lunch at whatever neighbors house you were at lunchtime.

Article on Fox buying NFL rights in 93

Just read through this, and as I was just a young man then, have no memory of pre-FOX football. Sounds like they really changed everything.

It def changed it. SO did ESPN with NFL Primetime in the early 90s

You obviously meant defense.  But, those 8 weeks are against teams in the bottom 10 of the league.  They would not play those teams in the playoffs.  Nothing about this season tells me we can stop an upper echelon offense, or keep up with them.

You are right I did mean Defense.

With that said, your answer indicates that you did not read my "prop" with an open mind.  Instead of embracing the hypothetical outcome and sharing the thoughts/possibilities that came into your mind as a result, you got busy rejecting the hypothetical.

Feel free to try again, but my suspicion is that your answer will reflect  your prejudgement of the question ... and you have found it wanting.

Eagles 24, WFT 14

I feel like this one won't be an impressive win but the Eagles will do just enough.  WFT looking like a team shutting it down for the year.

Bold predictions -- Scott leads Eagles in rushing yards, Eagles 2+ INT

Your hypothetical suggest doing something against the cream of the crop, when the Eagles have only done it against the bottom 10 of the league.  I am being a realist, you are setting yourself up for major disappointment.

Shame on you! (said with tongue in cheek).  As good as your Draft appears to be ... I defer to justrelax's assessment ... I think having Linderbaum is more valuable to the team's future than giving up one of the three players you took in the 1st Round would be.

I made the same argument the other day. If i have mailata, Dickerson and linderbaum as my LT, LG and C for the next 7-10 years that’s ridiculous. Each one of those guys had the ability to be a pro bowl caliber player. I’d argue if linderbaum pans out and Dickerson stays healthy that there’s not a better trio in the league in 2 years.

I am not educated enough on this to really have an opinion.  But as far as the equal opportunity is concerned, I would suspect that the same families with the means and interest to send their kids outside of worse school districts now, will be the same families with the means and interest to find a way to transport their kid to a different, better school district further away with the school choice idea.

Amen

Tbh i think they are done with drew lock as a starter. I think he’ll get another chance somewhere else but i think Denver goes all in to try for Wilson, rodgers or watson. If they strikeout probably draft a kid and go after someone like foles and let him play til he’s ready. They really also should go with an offensive minded coach cause i think you can find a good veteran defensive coordinator. They need a creative mind on offense. They have weapons in Sutton, jeudy, fant and Williams.

Would Lock be on your short list as a viable replacement for Hurts?

Met her a ton. she was a local legend. She would be at the Golden Nugget(crap hole bar in south jerz) once or twice a week with the Van Scivers. I know the VS's they used to be part owners in Atco Raceway and ran jet cars. etc etc

That moment when you realize you probably hung out in the same place as bcarty

I gotta say, I believe the eagles lose this one, redskins still have a good D, even though dallas beat the snot out of them, but we aint dallas

Naw i think he’s in the same boat as minshew who i believe can be a fringe starter and backup. He has a better arm than hurts and minshew. But i think he’s a bad decision maker and really hasn’t progressed at all since entering the league. I’d argue he’s regressed tbh.
