We are set at all 5 OL positions?  Who is your Center if Kelce retires?

With that said, a substantial part of the value that Linderbaum brings is his ability to be the startin OG as well as starting OC.  Having him start at OG allows the team to move on from Branden Brooks, which helps the available Cap situation considerably.  In addition Jack Driscoll moves back from OG to OT, which means Dillard becomes even more expendable than he already is.  If you can get a 3rd Round pick (or even possibly a conditional 2nd round pick) for Dillard, that is good for the team.  So Linderbaum comes with a bit of a Domino Effect in my opinion.

With that said, thanks for answering.  It is interesting to hear your thought processes.

Not so sure linderbaum can play OG but it allows you to keep Dickerson at LG. Potentially move seumalo over to RG, draft someone to groom under him for a couple years or trade him and find his replacement in the middle rounds or trade seumalo and start Driscoll hope he stays healthy (not the route I’d go)

i believe dillard is gone this offseason. He can only play LT as a backup. They aren’t moving mailata to RT with how good he is at LT unless it’s out of necessity. Dillard entering his last year and they aren’t going to exercise his 5th year option cause as soon as they do it’s guaranteed. I’d be surprised if he’s back. It would be telling that the rest of the league wasn’t willing to give up anything as valuable in terms of draft capital that it would be to keep him as a backup LT

Hoping it implodes in Minnesota with Justin Jefferson is all we got for solace at this point...

Tells me that he throws it in the Redzone and again ridiculous claims that you back turn out to be completely false.

Not that zimmer is a good coach but i think the biggest issue with that team is their FO believing cousins was going to take them to the next level. Then doubling down on the stupid and extending him. They basically got themselves stuck in that contract and in purgatory

Driscoll isn't an OT.  His arms are too short to make that a permanent home.  He's best suited inside.  And, I think he could even be the OC next year.  He'd be pretty close to Kelce, as close as anyone could be.  Linderbaum is close as well, but with a much bigger investment needed.

Driscoll just needs to stay healthy... most of all.  But, I see him at worst being the 6th OL, and could fill in anywhere on the OL.

Driscoll as a backup OT (along with Clark and Toth) and spot starter is much less vulnerable to the problems associated with short arms than if he is a starter.  However, the prospect of him as the successor to Kelce is a scenario that I did not include in my succession planning for Center.  I thought about Herbig and Seumalo, but discarded them both as long-range possible successors.

Your answer is why I pose these kind of hypothetical questions.  Thanks for the input.

I'm certainly far more unbiased with him than you are. You're one of the many in this echo chamber that are only able to find a negative in everything he does on the field.

Then why are they bottom half in the league in pass attempts if they are 6th in redzone trips ??

3 viable options

Seumalo

Driscoll

Dickerson.

One at center,  the other 2 at guard.

Because maybe it makes sense that when you are in the Redzone with the #1 rushing offense in the NFL that you use that to score in the Redzone.

Listen you're outlandish claim would hold some water if the Eagles don't consistently pass in the Redzone, but they do.  So again, like always it's just more nonsense coming from you.

Linderbaum at 290lbs would be interesting at Guard, Seumalo is listed as 304lbs but he also has 33” arms.  TDN has Linderbaum as a Center prospect only, not saying they’re right, but he’s gonna need to get to 305-310 before he can be really effective at G. His quickness and agility are two of his biggest strengths, you don’t wasn’t to lose that for extra weight to play out of position.
Losing Kelce will suck, and if decides to retire Linderbaum would be a great replacement, but other than losing Kelce, they should wait till the 3rd round for an offensive linemen with Stoutland here.  Now if Stoutland and Kelce retire, then it’s time to curl up in a fetal position .

In our defense, we have a lot to work with

I think they'll go BPA in the draft, they have holes all over the defense, and can justify an OL or big WR. The only position they probably won't take in the 1st rd is RB, TE or speed WR.

And they can fill those spots with their 2nd and two 3rd rd picks (after they trade Dillard).

I’m not saying take linderbaum at all costs. But if he’s the best available player at 20 compared to what’s there defensively I’m taking linderbaum and not thinking twice about it. I think some get too caught up with we have to fix the defense so all picks need to go to defense. Carolina did that in one draft they still have issues on defense and they neglected the offense that also now has more issues. I’m taking best available at that point.

Can we stop feeding the troll?

Not you, you get caught up on arbitrary things and then hold them up as the defining most important stat. Then when that is no longer relevant you completely disregard it and never talk of it again.

All summer long it was nonstop from you how he can't score in the second half, teams have him figured out by half time and this is proof he is awful and this will never be fixed.  It couldn't possibly be the coaching or expierence, no it was absolute proof that he is bad and this will continue.  Of course that hasn't been the case at all this season so we don't hear anything of it.

And then it was also his low completion percentage last year and it couldn't at all be expected for that to improve more than a few percentage points.  Of course that also turned out to be false.

I don’t forget anything, it’s just there is so much to work with, why circle back when their is new things all the time.

Hard to measure up to my lofty expectations when you are 32nd in the league in passing percentage.  Only team in the league passing less than 50% of the time.

Sounds like Howard isn't likely to play this Sunday.  For whatever reason he has been quite injury prone when he's on the Eagles. RB should be a target around round 2 or 3

Saints as well as Colts apparently reached out to Philip Rivers about a return when Hill and Siemian became unavailable.

Bold prediction -- just as the Stafford/Goff trade hit the news last January, I believe the Saints will trade either a 1st or 2nd round pick for a QB (likely Garappolo) before the end of January.
