Congrats on the new home.

Can you blame me? And thank you.PXL_20211220_034128449_MP.thumb.jpg.5d1f1dcb320862d18ef9af3245701d34.jpg

no push by Lindebaum on that 4th and 2

When an NFL GM cares if a player decides to play in a meaningless games, then it’ll matter. I’m sure if Pickett did get injured, you’d have no issue sending him the money he lost in the draft, good for you. I’m glad all fans that feel the way you do are willing to compensate him and his family for his loss. If you’re not willing to compensate him, well that would make you a hypocrite.

Btw, Carson Strong opted out as well, but no one is stupid enough to rip him.

He has no heart.  No care for his teammates.  It isn't an admirable quality to have in a QB you will be drafting with the hope of him being the franchise and the leader of the franchise one day.

Jamie Newman played in and was MVP of the 2018 Birmingham, then he played ok in 2019’s Pinstripe Bowl, he transferred to Georgia, opted out in 2020 due to Covid, and he didn’t get drafted, even though he showed commitment.
Kyle Hamilton opted out, and if he didn’t, he would be considered an idiot, see Jaylon Smith.
Anyone willing to cough up the money these kids can lose by playing and getting injured, have at it.  If not, stop being a hypocrite.

Who the f___ is being a hypocrite? I said I think they should play. They could get hit by a bus tomorrow.

 Lindenbaum having a rough day

sounds like a cheese

What is the significance of the number 17 on Rodney McLeod's hat?

 wow Kentucky  , pulls ahead

ND choking game away

Looking at Hurts, realized that all the ratings are based on passing.

So for example, FO, his 209 DYAR is 18th, but add in his 173 rushing DYAR, his 482 now ranks 15th among starting QBs.

Which may explain why some observers ranked him higher than others, as a passer he's around #20, as a QB, around #15.

I'm guessing Harold Carmichael with his HOF enshrinement this year.

For Hurts:
"Hurry up and grow."

For those interested, All Madden is available on Streaming.   I am watching on Tubi (which is a free service, with ads)... also supposed to be available on ESPN+.

Totally different circumstances, they could find out they have cancer tomorrow, or get shot at a grocery store. Playing football is detrimental to your health as an occupation, and putting yourself in an unnecessary situation just before you’re going to be paid millions is stupid, and not smart business. It’s not unusual for Pro Athletes to sign contracts that won’t let them ski, water or snow, skydive, skateboard, ride motorcycles, etc, because of an injury risk, getting hit by a bus is completely different from blowing out your knee in a football game, the differences are obvious.
It’s hypocritical to want someone you don’t know, or care about to play in a meaningless game and not care about the consequences because it doesn’t make a difference in your life whatsoever, unless of course you are willing to subsidize their families bills, plus add on a few million for lost wages.
If NFL GM’s come around to your thinking, absolutely, play every game, but I can guarantee you a number of GM’s were thrilled both Ohio St WR’s decided not to play, same for Kyle Hamilton.  On the other side there are a few GM’s praying Matt Corral doesn’t get injured tonight.
Here is some estimated salaries for 1st round draft picks, and what it cost Jaylon Smith by playing in a meaningless game.

I’ll let Smith know you and few other are willing to compensate him for lost wages, will you will using Venmo?   I have to get RTK’s info as well.

lol at defending the ultimate loser bail on your team mentality for a QB to bail on the bowl game.  A QB that was absolute trash for 3 years in college and as a result they never really played in any sort of relevant bowl game.  He has a good senior year and they get to a quality bowl only for him to bail on the team.

I want no part of that.

I know you can't see this, but everyone else can.

Just so we're all clear, it's poor leadership to stay healthy before the NFL draft when players do it constantly, but it's not poor leadership to crap the bed in a big game and rather than fight for your job back, you go to a different school with no competition.

Who does that remind me of...?

We get it, you're big into low character guys who lack leadership at the QB position.

The number of excuses for Hurts if Sanders and Howard are both out tomorrow.

17 was a great song, winger

So when NFL teams bench starters next week in meaningless games, you’ll feel exactly the same correct?  They should be playing?

No. You just like knocking young guys making business decisions because you’re so manly. What’s a few million to you?

It's not a meaningless game.  It's a bowl game.  Biggest bowl game he has been in during his 4 year college career.

Cameron Rising is really fun to watch.  NCAA is full of these 6-2 quarterbacks in the mold of Baker Mayfield.

Just now, justrelax said:

It's a red flag.  He isn't risking further serious injury to something he already has.  He is abandoning his teammates for purely selfish reasons.

Speaking of 6-2 Baker Mayfield types, in the least surprising news of the day
