That’s why you love Hurts, he was so unselfish that he purposely got benched so Tua could get a chance to play, thats a real teammate, he even stayed his entire Junior season cheering on Tua

He probably let Tua use his mouth as a urinal like @olsilverhair does on Friday nights at the shelter, that’s who I want on my NFL franchise Hurts and @olsilverhair because they’ll take it on the chin when it counts!!!

At least we can pinpoint the exact point in this conversation where you went completely off the rails.

You're a few years too late to make a big stink about this. And years ago, you would have found a bunch of people to agree with you on this. Myself included. By this point, its commonplace. I have never seen a teammate speak out about it. I have never seen a scout or NFL coach question it. And it really has shown not to affect a players' draft stock. At this point, its completely pointless to even bring up.

It isn't pointless to bring it.  It's a major red flag for the player.  He will not be a franchise QB for anyone in the NFL.  If he is drafted to be one then he will bust.  QBs who lack in those areas are not successful in the NFL.

There have been numerous examples over the years now to disprove your "red flag" assertion. This has not affected the draft stock of players who have done it before him.

No, there has not even been a single example of a QB doing this and being successful.  And my god, I am not talking about the draft stock.  I'm saying this is a red flag and whoever drafts him will regret it especially if it is with the intention of him developing into that team's franchise QB.

What other evidence do you have to support your conclusion that he lacks leadership?

What more do you need?  Screwing over your teammates for a purely selfish decision after they all collectively put forth the best season that university has seen since the early 80s, he bails on them when the time came to cap it off with that bowl game against a good opponent.  It also shows a complete lack of competitive drive.

He fake slid that one time. Real leaders commit to the slide.

Interesting stat from Reuben Frank.  If the Eagles make the playoffs then Jalen Hurts will become the youngest QB in franchise history to take the team to the playoffs.

How does a QB lacking leadership with modest athletic gifts become a starter as a freshman? How does that QB with modest athletic gifts, and a mediocre supporting cast improve as much as he did through his career, become the most accomplished passer in Pitt history which includes QBs like Dan Marino and Van Pelt, and lead numerous 4th quarter comebacks?

Have you found any articles with quotes that support your claim that he is selfish and lacks leadership? Because I am sure there are a lot out there that would say the opposite.

When the Panthers lost against Western Michigan, they had to quickly rebound with their ACC schedule starting in just two weeks. The day after that loss, Pickett called a players-only meeting that challenged everyone around the roster to be better and not allow the mistakes that led to one loss to lead to a landslide.

From seniors like Damarri Mathis to freshmen like Rodney Hammond Jr., Pitt players have praised Pickett for that day and the tone it changed for the team. Narduzzi did as well Saturday after Pitt's win over Clemson.

"That team meeting that Kenny called, getting everybody together," Narduzzi said. "It comes down to the senior leadership, Kenny Pickett's leadership. You're only as good as your team. If you're a player-led team, you have a chance with Kenny. I hope all our young guys learn from Kenny Pickett."

guess what

Matt Corrall just got hurt in his bowl game. Great chance that injury will be a red flag to teams.

That and he can’t play.

You need an article to tell you how bailing on his team by not playing in the bowl game is selfish and lacks leadership?  Do you lack the ability to think for yourself when it comes to judging those things based on the actions of people?

Become a starter as a freshman?  He only started one game as a freshman and that was the final game of the season.  Improve as much as he did throughout his career?  He really didn't show any improvement his first 4 seasons in college.  His 5th season there has been a major jump for him.  But you would think if you're still playing a 5th season in college and you're older than Jalen Hurts who is in his 2nd season in the NFL then I would hope you're tearing it up in college.   He didn't hesitate to tuck his tail and run from playing against what would have easily been the best team he would have faced this season.

Depends on the injury.

I’m for football teams bringing back the football helmet injury cart.

Wasnt it on one of the early Madden games the injury cart would often run over players?

Yet they never got hurt🤔

Im not a big fan of guys sitting out of their last bowl games but come on it's not like he was playing for a championship,

Every bowl game other than the championship playoffs are just meaningless money makers.

Why risk it so one can say, I went out on top when I won the Third Bank wedge salad bowl???

Who cares, he's already like 35 years old Anyway what's he got to prove?

Save it for senior bowl combine and  pro day.
