Way too often over the last 2.5 years ive had to watch and complain about how we don’t utilize the guys we have to their strengths and just running the offense we want to run just cause we don’t want to adjust to the players we have and what they do well. sorry for continuously bringing it up. But that was the thing that absolutely drove me crazy the last 3 years with the previous coaching staff. yep and what's even better is when he was hired that's the same thing he said without seeing any of his guys play in person. It's nice to see him stick to that word and put it to practice. It gives you hope that they can really get the most out of Jalen Reagor and Quez Watkins. Smith would probably excel at any WR position and let him just go do what he does. But when you have athletes like Reagor and the speed of Watkins, you play to their strengths, not try to fit them in your boring scheme.

Some might say they prefer areas that are affluent with plenty of disposable income. The only 2 in South Jersey are Cherry Hill and Marlton. So even for me both are more than a 30 minute drive. In Philly, they are in the Museum district, right along the Ben Franklin Pkwy and South Street. In PA suburbs... Main Line, Newtown Square and Glen Mills. Basically, affluent areas... They are not in the business of taking food stamps, because the folks that are eligible for food stamps can't afford to get to that store, let alone purchase anything.

They could’ve gotten out of that contract at the end of this season with a minimal dead money. Instead they restructured him during a rebuild and are now tied to him through 2022. And they weren’t going to just take a QB at 4 to sit behind Matt Ryan for 2 years. It’s one thing for the packers who took love late first and do that. It’s another at 4th overall

An example of nailing your fourth round pick.

Pretty normal for an OL to be inactive so he isn’t really depriving a player of a spot. So basically you aren’t really going to kick the tires on the inactive roster on that many players. Arguably one of the DBs this past week was one of those. With the relaxed veteran rules and 16 man PS, no real hindrance to kicking tires. Tryouts on PS churn unless an injury need. Bottom of roster players? There is room available as the Eagles really aren’t a team that doesn’t have a couple of spots. I don’t think this is a Jeffery level issue this year. Not exactly. They would have had the ability to claim a player off waivers and put them on the 53 for a few weeks, rather than wait for them to clear waivers and then try to get them to sign to your PS rather than the PS with the team they are coming from. A lot of players? Of course not, at most two players. But, it was a missed opportunity. Not a huge deal, but still something that could have helped. They went into the season with 3 safeties, and one of them is now injured on top of McLeod's status. Having a 4th might not have hurt...

Is he an Eagle because he truly bought in to Sirianni and the new culture being build around Jalen Hurts, or is he an Eagle only because Howie can't get more than a 5th for him? We don't know. Maybe, just maybe, the culture that DP had built with Carson just grew incredibly stale and Ertz and Kelce (Wentz's best buds) thought they needed to go if the changes included getting rid of Carson. However, Hurts has taken this team and become a leader of men at his young age, and Sirianni could be on to something with the way he handles his team. Maybe Ertz and Kelce have totally bought in to the new way of things being done here. Even the biggest Carson supporters (I'm one of them) can't deny that there appears to be a total lack of drama surrounding this team for the first time in what seems to be 3 years. That has to be refreshing for everyone in the locker room. Kelce looked dominant on Sunday. He hasn't looked that good in some time. The thing with Kelce is that he doesn't need the NFL. He's going to have a long post-NFL career weather it's in the booth, as analyst or some other entrepreneurial idea he has. Walking away from the game healthy is important for him. My gut tells me that the Eagles surprise a lot this year and either make the Wild Card or just miss the playoffs. Kelce see this as one last opportunity to make a run with a young QB and WR group. Howie/Siranni talk to Kelce, rework his contract and trade Brandon Brooks. Dickerson is plugged in at RG while Kelce gives us another 2 years. Unless we are going to pay him a whole pile of money, he's gone

I also think he is very energetic and the young guys and even older guys pick up on it. He looks much more confident and comfortable in his surroundings then early over. I think earlier this offseason he was trying to impress the fan base and justify himself. It’s why you had some of his out there stuff in pressers. I think he is much more comfortable when it comes to just football activities and Xs and Os. I also Liked it cause it wasn’t josh mcdaniels. September 15, 20214 yr Legitimately tough call between Hurts and Hargrave IMO. I think Hargrave was better, but no issues here.
September 15, 20214 yr What if I told you that there’s a Jordan Mailata clone entering this draft that plays the RT position? However, out in the Midwest, in Big Ten country in Minnesota, resides perhaps the most interesting study in this group of tackles due to his sheer size (6’9” and near 400 lbs) and power. A player that is bringing his rugby background with him to the United States and eventually into the NFL. All the way from Melbourne, Australia, let’s get introduced to Gophers’ offensive tackle Daniel Faalele and take a look at his potential draft stock. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2021-nfl-draft-assessing-the-draft-stock-of-daniel-faalele/ Im now obsessed with the idea of having two Aussie behemoths that are former rugby stars as Eagles future at both tackle positions

Just one layer of light cloth will protect the lettuce from a light frost... just make sure that the cover isn't touching the foliage. A heavier row cover will protect overnight to about 28-30F. If you go with TWO layers (with an air gap between them), you can get a bit more protection. A bit of plastic over the top (just cheap plastic painters tarp) can be used to protect from the coldest nights in the late Fall. And, you'd be surprised how well that stuff can bounce back if allowed to thaw out after a light freeze as well. I didn't have a chance to get my garden ready for the fall, but I still plan to start some lettuces and try to get some fresh garden salads and see how long I can keep it coming... mostly as an experiment than survival. But, I found that even my tomatoes last spring handled a 'hard frost' with just a heavy row cover for frost protection and a bit of plastic tarp over the top over night. Everything was perfectly happy and healthy, except for the branches of the tomatoes that were touching the row cover and tarp (my supports failed because we also had a bit of wind with it... failure on my engineering, not the materials I was using). Of course, the lettuce isn't going to grow much during those late weeks, but it will be happy to basically just sit there mostly dormant and wait for you to come along and pick it. And if you are into spinach (my wife really loves it in her salads) the temps can be even lower without concerns... AND less pests! win win win. Just something for you to consider. Thanks, I will give it a try. Problem is my first freeze is usually around Halloween and I will be out of town at that time.

That's where the row cover rather than the plastic comes in handy. The row cover will breathe, so that the plants won't get baked underneath like they would with plastic. But, the row cover is where the frost actually forms, rather than on the leaves of the plants. And as a result, the frost actually helps to protect the plants from lower temps. (It's science!) And... if you want to go really fancy, a string or two of old Christmas lights laid on the ground around the plants with a timer switch just like you'd use for Christmas lights normally will keep the ambient temps around the plants just a little bit higher... and the row cover helps to hold in that extra heat. (That would only be necessary on the colder nights.) Lettuce can easily handle temps as low as 32F, especially if protected a little. And even if they get nipped a little on the very outer leaves, the inner leaves are still good. Just remove any that do get nipped and you are still good to go.

I would’ve been OK if they took a quarterback at four if they absolutely loved one of the quarterbacks and they didn’t restructure Matt Ryan’s contract. The dead money to release Matt Ryan in 2022 is $40.5 million. They were not going to do that and just have the 4th overall picks it for two years I don’t follow the Atlanta Falcons close enough but it feels like the timing of his restructured contract happened so that they wouldn’t have to go quarterback in the draft and use it at another positions. I think this came down to where we restructured Matt Ryan so he’s our quarterback for the next two years so we don’t have to look at the quarterback position right now at 4. Which is a bad way to run your franchise.
