However, out in the Midwest, in Big Ten country in Minnesota, resides perhaps the most interesting study in this group of tackles due to his sheer size (6’9” and near 400 lbs) and power. A player that is bringing his rugby background with him to the United States and eventually into the NFL. All the way from Melbourne, Australia, let’s get introduced to Gophers’ offensive tackle Daniel Faalele and take a look at his potential draft stock. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2021-nfl-draft-assessing-the-draft-stock-of-daniel-faalele/ Im now obsessed with the idea of having two Aussie behemoths that are former rugby stars as Eagles future at both tackle positions What if I told you I already know this?

It didn’t play out that way with how it was delivered. I liked sirianni hire based off the videos i saw with the Colts and things i read on the athletic and from Indy beat writers. I could have done without the paper rock scissors comments though. But again i think he was just trying too hard at that time. I liked the paper rock scissors stuff. It was a fun exercise that gave a fun little insight into a guys competitive nature. People are to serious around here. The guy was having some fun get over it and back of my boy Nick!

To lose in that fashion and way I’m not sure you ever fully recover from something like that. They were definitely never going to do that but you could sense it was never going to be the same after that devastating and fashion in which they lost. Kind of like how the niners are suffering now..... Kyle shanahan is the king of destroying a teams mojo!

I think the niners biggest problem is that Jimmy G can’t stay healthy so they have to use guys like mullens and beathard who are just not good. With Jimmy G they are 23-9 scoring 28 ppg. Without him they are awful and i think averaging below 20 ppg

They would have had the ability to claim a player off waivers and put them on the 53 for a few weeks, rather than wait for them to clear waivers and then try to get them to sign to your PS rather than the PS with the team they are coming from. A lot of players? Of course not, at most two players. But, it was a missed opportunity. Not a huge deal, but still something that could have helped. They went into the season with 3 safeties, and one of them is now injured on top of McLeod's status. Having a 4th might not have hurt... I think Chachere is filling that fourth S spot. Can play both CB and S. I figure McCain is holding the Scott slot and is the kick the tires player right now. I suspect the USC NT, Marlon T, is holding Driscoll’s spot. Unfortunately, the likelihood is the Eagles will have a couple players on short term IR all season so I suspect the kick, the tires position for waiver pick ups will be available although with the two man PS move and four protected I suspect we will see similar lack of waiver pick ups and PS poaching, until late season, just like we did last season. We will see if a missed opportunity comes along.

Which is exactly why they went after Lance.

It’s why i think Lance ultimately succeeds. Shanahan is a good coach. And he will get the most out of him imo. I think Lance got the best situation of any of the QBs going in the top 10 (really only one better is mac jones and I’m not sure it’s decisively better since his weapons aren’t better than what the niners have). Add on the niners have weapons. Kittle, Samuel and aiyuk are good weapons. RB they seem to just find guys and plug in and have success. I do think once Jeff Wilson returns from PUP, he and sermon will be the 1-2 punch. Wilson was really good for the niners last year once mostert got hurt.

I glanced over the Browns draft history, and that statement is incorrect. He continues to post absurd narratives in defense of Howie Roseman, and I am here to prove them false. That’s not true. Post an in depth response as opposed to a gotcha type post and he does respond. I have been conversing with AFan for a couple of decades now. You seem to need to one up him and he won’t take that bait. (Ask Doug704). Bacarty will take your bait to troll you and most of us will scroll past that instead of reading what you post. You don’t have to prove what anyone said is false. This is a discussion board. Just post why your position differs and what you believe supports your position. So you have shown areas where you feel a poster was incorrect. AFan posted a general statement of the Browns failing to hit on Day 3 picks with no timeline or parameters. You found specific examples to counter that. (General v specific). Fine, we all get your point and have moved on. If in your mind you have "won” or need to win if he counters (he won’t), fine. Consider your trophy delivered. 🏆

Not saying that's likely but if Kelce plays the whole year like he did on Sunday, I'm doing whatever I can to see if he wants to keep playing. Well, the quandary is, lock up a talented player in his prime with a second contract or extend a talented but aging vet. Latter hasn’t worked out for the Eagles of late. The poison pill in Kelce’s contract almost necessitates either a rework or cut next spring.

He specifically mentioned that they were bad at it for a period of 4-5 years and used that to explain why they were so bad for a stretch. Of course, they were also terrible at drafting in Rounds 1-2 for an even longer period, and only in the last couple years have actually started to bring in good Day 1 and 2 players, which has coincided nicely with their rise in stature in the league. The Day 3 picks thing was something afan was trying to say to make a larger point, but that flies directly in the face of the comment that Day 3 picks are just lottery tickets and aren't worth much. (or something to that effect.). In this case, I believe afan was throwing non-sense at the wall to see if it would stick. It doesn't. For his statement to have any validity, the Browns would have had to have made good Day 1 and 2 picks, while simultaneously being terrible at Day 3. They were just bad at ALL picks for quite some time, and their drafting overall has taken a marked turn to the better, and their results are following.
September 15, 20214 yr One thing that stood out to me about the game was how many checkdowns Hurts took. And it was stated he took what they were giving him, no problem if that is true. There is something to be said for taking safe and easy throws to manage the game, but we still need to see him make the plays when he needs to, can he? Can he thread the needle on an out, 20 yards down the field, when he HAS to have it? We will see This video here analyzing just how good Devonta is and how open he was getting himself shows there were opportunities to push the ball farther than 10 yards down the field and Hurts took the safer check down at times. Other times he made the correct/ faster read. One thing for Sure Devonta could have had a monster game.
