One thing I've noticed over the year is the Hurts clan gives him 10,000% credit for the most basic, nonsensical things that any human or athlete probably does daily. And its goes back to college.

Intangibles! Swag! Back pats! Ice! Veins! Leadership!

Have you ever seen a better placed pat on the back?  Guy is a top 3 QB all time.

And this sums up the issue with Hurts. He's a stop gap.

80% of QBs are stop gaps by that standard. Since there are only a handful of elite QBs at any time, and a couple are close to retirement. And a few more almost good enough.

People really think they're gonna get the next Rodgers or Brady. Good luck with that.

Wentz will turn 30 next December, Hurts 24, would you have preferred to go with Wentz, his salary and his injury history or Hurts, a 1st and 3rd, during a rebuild.

Half the teams in the NFL would love to have Hurts over their current QB situation. Good enough to win, cheap enough to walk away in two years if he doesn't work out.

WTF is all the uproar about?  It’s been mentioned on Podcasts and tweets how calm and cool Hurts was when the railing collapsed, like Jeff George or Jay Cutler would of put one of the fans in a figure four FFS.
To me, he looked down at the fans the same way he looked at the fumble in the end zone I believe during the Raiders game, like "why are you here”.

I have no idea. The scene itself was an ish show of what FedEx field is, but Hurts didn't do anything besides take a half step to his right when the thing started collapsing in-front of him.

Jay Cutler would have definitely taken someone's wallet while putting his cigarette out on them while they were on the ground though.

The Giants spent their entire off-season blaming us for them missing the playoffs last year. Now, the Giants are openly tanking.

One thing I've notice is that the bias of those who want Hurts to fail because they are afraid that any sign of success will mean he remains the Eagles QB is significant. If you watch a lot of other teams, you will see that his QB play is pretty good right now in comparison. Does he miss open receivers? Yes. Does every QB? Yes. He has gotten a lot better game by game and his pocket presence was good yesterday. Where are all the "he goes in circles" jerks when he evades pressure and uses his mobility to make a play like he did yesterday? Right now he looks better than 50% of the QBs out there and the "running back at QB" BS should begin to stop because he is no longer taking off at the first sign of pressure. He is playing within the system and being efficient. You can win with a mobile QB. Give him a chance to evolve his game and see if this is who he can be rather than branding him for eternity as a running QB.

Well in fairness Wentz would have caught every one of them and had them baptized before the knew what happened.

Completely wrong, but coming from the "Ben Rothelisberger was never a franchise QB" guy I'm not surprised.

You're greatly diminishing the value of Brown to Brady and that team by labeling him simply as a distraction.  Especially with Godwin out too.

Brown to Brady??  When Brown "opted out,” the Bucs were down 24-10 in the 3rd quarter.  Guess who won?
Brady doesn’t give a sheet about anyone, he’s the closest the NFL has to Jordan, Brady cares about winning, and nothing more.
Taking him under his wing and letting Brown live with him was so Brady had an alibi last season in case of Nick Foles received Anthrax in the mail before Chicago played the Bucs.

Sounds like a prison threat

Half the people in here would have S’d their pants if that railing fell right next to them.

And Jay Cutler absolutely would have put a cigarette out on one of those fans.

Washington

Giants

Broncos

Panthers

Lions

Maybe Saints? Jameis is definitely the better talent

Maybe Falcons?

Maybe Titans?

Maybe Colts? (I'd prefer Wentz)

I may be missing some but definitely not half...

That would of been way more awesome!!

Weird. So when we all said "he should stop running in circles in the pocket" and "he should stop fleeing the pocket at phantom pressure" and he hurt his ankle enough to where he couldn't do that anymore he suddenly looks better. Weird.

Jalen is like 20th in QBR, which takes rushing into account. Once you factor in his age, rookie HC, coolness, back pats and intangibles he instantly catapults to a top 6 QB in NFL history.

right, so you create a hypothesis that this has to do with his ankle because you know that's the causal relationship. That's a bias. Another theory could be that he watched Minshew have success, listened to his coaches, is gaining confidence in how to play the position and evolving as a player. He looked good running yesterday without any ankle issues apparent but, you have all the insights so, nevermind.

He is not a distraction, he is a certified idiot.  He will never get another gig in the league, and Tampa Bay will not miss him.

He's a very talented WR and they are now down 2 of their top 3 WRs.  It will hurt them and their chances to repeat.

Hurts is so good if you count all of the drops from all receivers from every other team (apparently just Eagles receivers, as no other QB has this happen to them) as TDs he's got like a whopping 23 TD passes on the year. This is the stuff of legends.

Guy throws to someone nicknamed Sprinkles. That adds at least 12.4% to his completion percentage.

We're looking at a more mobile Mahomes, gents.

I can see Russ or Rodgers as WFTs QB
