True.  But also this ain't an issue wit WHIZ.

The anti-WHIZ sentiment on a so-called Philly board is astounding!

Snobbery and elitism at work lol.

If it's a made from scratch whiz like cheese it's fine. The stuff straight out of the can is gross unless your hammered.

Weird variations on food are good, bacon, Sriracha, and mayo are good on a steak and cheese, I think Bleu cheese would be an interesting option too with the caramelized onions and peps

the craziest cheesesteak I ever had just added lobster on top of the beef, at chickies and petes.

But I refuse to put other stuff on. You can do that, but then you cant call it a cheesesteak. No such thing as a california cheesesteak. A bacon cheesesteak with mozz sticks and all this other stuff I see at places. Call it a steak hoagie or something. Its not a cheesesteak.

A rose by any other name

I know it technically isn't a cheesesteak but I love buffalo chicken cheesesteaks.   If you ever go to Cape May and go to the Sunset Grill at Cape May Point, their, their buffalo chicken cheesesteak is amazing.

Youre gonna wish you ordered 2.

Although, now I never ordered take out from there, always used to eat in- their fries are served in a big bowl. I was actually fine with a mini considering the ton of fries you get. But usually went with the regular and just stuffed myself.

I'm not going to wish I ordered 2, I got one that is 20 inches long!

Chicken cheesesteaks or the buffalo version are a nice treat once in awhile

I agree. Whiz does the job. Im not against a cheese sauce. Ive done it at all of the touristy places because thats basically how you order. Wiz wit, or wiz witout. Other cheese options arent really advertised so it feels wrong to ask for american or even provolone at those places.

Theres a place in the allentown area called Vinces. They have a food truck that comes up this way often, and does all different fairs too. They have american but its liquified and they put it on with a big ladle.

The only thing I hate about a cheese sauce is how messy it can get so American is still tops for me.

True liquified cheese can be too "thin".  When WHIZ is done right it has some consistency and doesn't just run like water.

Bell's Philly Grill in Wildwood is VERY good too.

they got the bread right. Its a fresh and soft, but crusty exterior. And the cheese runs through the meat. Never got a tough piece of meat there either. You cant really do any better. They check all the major boxes. Im telling you. I cant overhype it. No matter how much I say, it shouldnt be able to disappoint you.

Ertz and JJ are no big loss.

Curious who starts in place of Brooks if he can't go.

Finely chopped chicken mixed with buffalo sauce. Blue cheese optional but a must for me.

Buffalo chicken.  You're in York area.   If you like an authentic Philly cheesesteak, The Steakout right off Mount Rose makes a FANTASTIC cheesesteak.

Meh I'm sure this is probably a managing the load thing for Ertz and Brooks.

They're taking it easy on Brooks, which is the right call. He was great again on Sunday.

Let Brooks rest until Sunday

Herbig. With Driscoll on IR its either Herbig or Toth.
