Show me where I discounted his play? You brought up people complaining about him running in circles or bailing the pocket early. All I said was as soon as he stopped doing that, which is what we wanted, he started looking better. Whether the ankle is the main contributing factor or not, you can't just write it off completely. He clearly had an ankle injury and whether he wanted to or not, made him rely more on being a QB than just bailing and taking off.

It's a freakin message board. Enjoy it all you want. Squirt all over the place. There are going to be other people with a difference of an opinion. If you can't handle that, that's a shame.

Same thing in the first half of the Denver game.

So if the Saints win and go 9-8, 49ers lose and go 9-8 and we lose and go 9-8 for example.

We have a head to head match up with both teams. lost to 9ers, beat saints. Wouldnt the Saints be out since we beat them and 49ers beat us? 9ers and saints never played each other. Still doesnt make sense why the saints would get it over 49ers

There's no head to head unless one team beat both other teams. So it moves to winning percentage in conference. Saints were 2-3 out of conference. 49ers were 3-2. So if they end up tied for the same record, Saints have the better conference win percentage.

Did anyone think Sanders would play with a broken hand?

I don't know what's happening with Brooks but they have to get rid of him. He just can't stay healthy. He's like our Sean Lee. Hopefully we don't keep him as long though

There are more than two sides in here...it isn't just pro-Hurts vs anti-Hurts as some may make it out to be. I am stunned both sides seem to be claiming victimhood. It is too many narratives and zero sum games being played out for my taste, but everyone is entitled to their opinions in here.

I believe there is a large group of fans that want what is best for the Eagles and understand the current reality. We are without an elite QB and are in a rebuilding phase. That makes the playoff appearance all the more celebratory. To me, they have had a good season beyond expectations and I hope they continue to grow and progress.

He quit on the team, would not go into a game because he had a boo boo on his ankle.  Kind of funny you defending this guy after hammering on Pickett.

In typical fashion you seem to be completely flustered shooting off in random directions. I seriously think you have some metal issues.

Where did I at all defend Brown?

Just stated the fact that this will likely hurt the Bucs chances to repeat in the playoffs especially since they have already lost Godwin.

In a three-way tie at 9-8, the Niners are out because of conference record.  They would be 6-6.  PHL and NO would be 7-5.

The Niners need to have a better record than the Saints.

By winning yesterday, the Niners eliminated the possibility of a three-way tie at 9-8 with their conference record at 7-5 (by beating the Rams week 18).  That is how we clinched.

Then why do you care ??  Tampa Bay won't miss him.  Brady rallied without him, and will win with Evans, Scotty Miller, Tyler Johnson and Breshad Perriman.  That group is better than what we have.  They also have good TE's.

If I have to pick a side, I am on the side where you need an elite QB to basically contend for a SB championship year in and year out. That without an elite QB you are just wishcasting. I dont care who the QB is now or later, if we dont have an elite QB, I will always be on the side of getting one.

Sometimes that will be wanting to draft a blue chip prospect and giving them support (Time and resources) to improve to that level. (Wentz and McNabb fell into this category for me)  In rare occassions when we dont have one and one becomes avail via trade and or Free agency, I will lobby for us to swing for the fences.

If we have one, Then I will lobby for getting them the support they need to be successful. Like Giving them good weapons and a solid Oline etc.

If you point a gun to my head and ask me if I think Hurts will ever blossom into an elite QB, I have to say no. But would be happy if he showed me he could - (to this day, I have not seen anything that tells me he can)

Why are you mental over it? You should seek help, you come off as very mentally unstable.

Eagles are in the playoffs and discussing potential teams they face the Bucs are one of those teams.  The Bucs are now a worse team today then they were at the start of yesterday because they no long have one of their highly talented players.  They are now down to just one top tier WR when they won the Super Bowl last year with 3.  It will be a tougher road for them this postseason.

No idea why that makes you so unhinged.

Not unhinged at all.  Brown is an idiot, and the Bucs will be fine without him.  Do you think the Eagles have a chance if we play them ??  We will be a speed bump at best.

I have tried to remain neutral and accept your postings but this is another case where you would benefit from letting the issue rest. We will find out soon enough if the Bucs are hindered. I also think it is great benefit to everyone if you debate the post and not the attack the poster...my two cents.

Most here are not in disagreement.  We would all be ecstatic if Hurts develops into more that what we see now.

would be the best thing to happen to this franchise.

Because in that scenario, conference record is the tie breaker, Eagles and Saints would be 7-5 and 9ers would be 6-6.

No, because NFL tie break rules.  See above.

Basically where I'm at. I don't need a Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes (although I wouldn't complain), but I need a top 10ish QB. I don't see that being realistic for Hurts and I haven't seen anything this year to sway me to believe he can be that throughout a season on a consistent basis. He might make financial success for 2022 but to me it's just going to be another year similar or slightly better to this year, but not enough to be serious contenders which just means another year gone. Then when you get an actual rookie QB you have to go through his rookie year, which is another year gone. I'm impatient basically.

And right now, getting this playoff spot and getting trucked is worst case scenario.  Now you have no real answer about Hurts, and we have feasted on the bottom 10 teams in the league since week 8, and teams that could have taken that last spot have had revolving door at QB or Covid taking out their starter.

We either needed to be a playoff team that could win a game, or be in the top 10 of the draft, now we are in that grey area with no real answer either way.

Humble brag there by Siri but he’s earned it. Phenomenal turnaround after the absolute dumpster fire that was the Doug/Wentz Eagles last year. Keep it up coach!
