Yeah we all get it, you were rooting for the Eagles to lose all season over your hate of Hurts. But it's a good thing they didn't because winning is going to be a positive to young players development as well as the development and belief in the young coaching staff.  And of course they made the playoffs which is a big positive to take going forward with this core.

You're argument that the Eagles should miss the playoffs for the sake of draft picks continued to even last week when the potential for a top 10 pick was not on the table.

Why do you keep recycling this lie ?? Why do you  not address other posters who have the same criticism of Hurts ??  Are you still all butt hurt over the Ruben Randle fiasco ?? Or is it Nick Foles winning the Super Bowl that has you wanting to try and get a victory over me ??

It's one thing to pull for the guy. It's another to declare the guy should be the team's QB of the future and they should stop all pursuit of superior QBs after one playoff season as a 7th seed, having not beaten a single opponent that is over .500.

Kirk Cousins gets mocked and trashed in the media. He's accomplished far more than Hurts ever has, but I don't see one media person saying "Vikings fans, you should appreciate Cousins, he's a good player." And nor should they. But they shouldn't about Hurts either. Not yet. You can praise a guy and say you like him without taking it to the extreme and saying case closed, the Eagles should commit to him, he's their guy.

The contract makes the Cousins comparison moot.  The Vikings accomplished more in 2017 before Cousins than since he's arrived.

We haven't made a franchise-level commitment to Hurts.

Again, for the record, I want this team to have an elite QB.  Hurts isn't that right now.

The reality is, the wins since week 8 against the bottom feeders of the NFL cost us a top 10 pick, and have created the illusion for some folks that this is a good football team.  We are not really that much better than Washington, the Bears and the Giants.

That's how the NFL is. I accept the fact that the Eagles are not winning the Super Bowl and it's highly unlikely they win a playoff game, but I will never root for them to lose unless it's to get the number 1 pick and an Andrew Luck level prospect. I'd rather see my team make the playoffs and get pick 22 than see them suck and get pick 11.

I’d say it’s unbelievable, but it’s totally believable.

It would be pretty funny if they just forfeited the game Saturday afternoon as retaliation to moving the other game.

Any young person in an industry will get more benefit of the doubt and patience from critics as compared to a multi year highly compensated veteran. Hurts is a 2nd year player, in his first year as a starter, and is making in one year what Cousins probably makes in a half of football. If Hurts was performing like this when he is a 7-8 year vet making 30mil a year, he would be destroyed by the NFL media.

But I'm happy now.  Why wait four months?

Well you're the one that made the post. People can be upset that it's likely a one and done in the playoffs while others are happy just to make it

I'll never understand why people make it out like others can't feel different about the outcome and if you do then you're a fake fan

Now we can elevate how many guys from the practice squad to play in the game…

Out of an abundance of caution, of course.

I'm not talking about Hurts.  I'm talking about how you have been rooting against this team all season and have continually gotten upset as they continued to win and turn it around with the exception of the one start Minshew had, the sole win you actually enjoyed.

And here you go again in typical fashion, just shooting off into random directions.

I never called you a fake fan.  I believe that you root for the Eagles.

I just fundamentally disagree with your approach to fandom.

That would be incredible television.

I am not rooting against the team, ARE  YOU DENSE.  Talking about how beating the bottom feeders lowers draft position and rooting against the team are two entirely different things.

These wins are hurting the Eagles on multiple fronts, you are just so enamored with one players SWAG you can not objectively look at it.

Yes the winning is hurting the Eagles on multiple fronts.  What a tragic season.

They all must have volunteered.

Yes, it is impacting draft position, giving the FO an opinion that the team is better than it is, when in fact this team needs players at all levels of the defense, QB, WR and center.  With a playoff spot, they might think they are 1 player away and make a Wilson, Rodgers or Watson trade, which I would support, but the team needs more than just a QB.

Having a team in Las Vegas is working well from a PR standpoint.

Unreal that so many players got positive right after the team clinched playoff berth.  DC must be a highly contiguous city of Covid.  Wonder if more to come.

You don’t know that.

OK.  So how do you not win to improve your draft position?  Sit players?  Trade away talented vets?

You were campaigning for the team to lose instead of make the playoffs last week.  You would rather lose to gain a few extra draft spots then see the team play at least one extra game and to do so in the playoffs.  It's pathetic.

This organization is trying to build a contending team. They aren't going to think this is some finished product that doesn't need to be improved upon because they made it in the playoffs as the 6th or 7th seed.

The team is set at QB for at least next year. They have 3 first round draft picks and some cap space to build around Hurts for next season.  How they were able to overcome a 2-5 start and make the playoffs will do a lot of good for this team going forward. The playoff expierence will be extremely valuable to Hurts and the other young players as well as Sirianni and the rest of the coaching staff.

Also I love how now all of a sudden you're all about the draft picks but before the season your aguement to ship as many picks as needed to get Watson back was that Howie is so bad at drafting that we don't need the draft picks since he will waste them.  You've become so broken and inconsistent.

It is easier to get a top 10 pick right than one in the 20's.  See Devonta Smith vs Jalen Reagor.
