Honestly these fans hold some responsibility.  You have to be smarter than to have a mass of people leaning over some rickety fencing with all of their body weight.

What leader. Love how he threw out that credit at the end for interception.

So now that we have basically another full season of Wentz not being close to what he was in 2017, how are we feeling about the trade?

While I’m no Hurts believer, I wouldn’t feel a whole lot better that Wentz is the guy I initially believed either. I’m plenty happy with the 1 and 3 and to not being paying him $30M or whatever a year.

Ya there were some Eagles Hoggettes on that rail. Sure not rated for 200lb plus.

Colts fan have started to turn on him:

"Wentz has not done enough to deserve another year. He will get another year because there is no better option yet"

"He also seems to have zero pocket awareness and holds the ball way too long. I don’t think we’re getting anywhere with him at the helm."

"He doesn't throw accurately when guys are open. He's beyond slow to come off of his primary read to go to his check down. And he's been outrageously lucky in the turnover department. He will never have better conditions to play QB than he's had this year for the most part. Defenses are putting 8 guys in the box on every play and he still goes entire quarters without putting a ball on target"

"Wentz is the ABSOLUTELY the problem on this team and you all know it - you just won't admit it. I don't understand it at all. Open your friggin' eyes folks."

"If Wilson or Rodgers are there you go after them don't waste anymore time with Wentz. Wentz hasn't step up and won a game when he needs to so why invest in him if he can't lift his team to a win. Great players elevate average players not the other way around"

"Reich going after Wentz after watching Wentz get Pederson fired was like watching a man tie an anchor to his leg and throw it overboard. Meanwhile JT is frantically trying to saw the rope with a knife right now"

"I hate to agree but I think without JT, Wentz would consistently be showing how much of a liability he is."

"Dude why are you people always going to make excuses for him?! He is a subpar quarterback!!!! Get that through your head!!! His stats are weak, and without JT this offense would be dead in the water. Come to terms with reality, Wentz is holding us back!!"

"Been saying it all year man. Literal fools gold. He has flashes that makes you wanna buy his stock but 99% of the time he is trash."

"I’ve been saying this for weeks but being downvoted. For a majority of the year, he has been mediocre at best. The last half of the year, some of the old wentz has started coming back. Overthrowing open receivers and bad decision making. He has been a complete liability in this game, the second titans, and the patriots game (he got bailed out by Taylor.). He has instilled no confidence that he can be the guy going forward."

"The overthrow of a wide open TY today sealed my opinion. He is not the guy. He’s not bad. He can be good. He’s just not going to get the Colts to where they should be."

It was for the best for both parties go their own ways.  While many here nitpick every Hurts incompletion I think they forget how often Wentz would throw wildly inaccurate passes to wide open receives who had no chance of catching it.  We saw that again yesterday from him.

I think a lot of us were pretty pissed off that Hurts was here to begin with.

I was one of them. The main reason I was pissed we got him is the same reason I had absolutely no expectations for him - we didnt need him on the team.

Can’t say. I need to see what the first rounder actually turns into. Cop out answer maybe, but if the Colts proposed this off-season Wentz for Hurts straight up, I’d take Wentz.

Eagles are 30-1 to win the conference. Do I dare drop a 50?

Well to be honest, Sirianni changed the entire offense to fit the running game.  I think Hurts failed at running the actual offense.

Nah.  He ran the offense just fine.  If anything, his running ability combined with the RB's would be considered "elite level".  Passing still needs work but a QB who passes average and runs as well as he does would be considered well above average in terms of "running the offense".

This team was 2-5 and most had them winning maybe 5 games total at that point.  They just won 9 games (possibly 10) and made the playoffs.  If you're still complaining about Hurts at this point, he's obviously taking up way too much real estate in your head and it might be tine to take a "time-out".

The eagles won those games feeding on the bottom 10 teams in the league, and have the 30th strength of victory in the NFL

They are not a team that can win a playoff game, and puts the decisions for next year in that grey area people feared.
