I think it depends on how they lose, if they get beat by a large margin and the offense struggles, it's no longer in the grey area.

Howie will be on the phone trying to trade for one of the big 3 as soon as the game ends.

If they lose a close one, then yes grey area.

If they win, Hurts is the guy and that's that.

Not saying I disagree with that, but it will be a done deal for Lowie if they win a playoff game.

They'll roll with him for 2023 if we win, no question about it imo.

No one expected them to make the playoffs so anything beyond this point is "gravy".  And the only people fearing that "gray area" for next season are Hurts haters in this blog.  Latest polls show that 85% of fans want him either starting or open competition with Minshew.  So unless something unexpected happens, he'll likely see the field plenty next year too. 

I would do yourself a favor and stop torturing yourself.  The amount of time you waste with mental gymnastics, looking up stats and arguing about Hurts won't change a thing about him playing next year.  And if he wins a playoff game, then you might as well not even bother watching next year because I guarantee he'll be the named starter.

Wentz is in the Derek Carr/Kirk Cousins tier of QB. Purgatory. Some argue his inconsistent play but great arm and 1 highlight reel drive per game make him a franchise QB. I want a winner.

Even if Hurts had completely face planted, the Eagles made the right move. Colts are fortunate Jonathan Taylor is superman.

Why would I stop watching ?   I am an Eagles fan first and foremost.  I do not want to be stuck with barely making the playoffs and 1 and done for the next 5 years.

1st round pick Carson Wentz was considered an "elite" franchise QB when he was drafted and during his first several seasons.  It took 1 bad season for the Eagles to trade him.  How long do you think it would take them to pull the plug on Hurts if his performance drops to "last year Wentz" levels? 

You guys are acting like a bunch of 12 year old cry babies that didn't get the game they wanted for their birthday.  If Hurts doesn't work out,  it literally will be 1-2 seasons before they get someone else on board.  Stop with the talk show level drama already.

Yep.  Hurts haters have officially surpassed "Wentz hater" levels of last season.  The irony is Wentz had one of the worst seasons in franchise history.  Hurts just won them 9 games and made the playoffs. 

And I'm actually thrilled for Wentz this year.  He's playing great there so a change of scenery is what he needed.  He should have left on better terms, especially with the fans but that just shows that Philly wasn't his "type" of town.  His fans did nothing but stand up for the guy during 2-3 years of QB controversies and even last season when he should have been pulled by the 7th-8th game...most of his fans STILL wanted to play him. 

His fans were the loyal wife.  Wentz on the other hand:

This would be an interesting poll. I honestly wouldn't trade Hurts for Wentz even if the Colts add a second. At this point, I think both QBs are decent, not great, but Hurts doesn't make the dumb mistakes and has a higher ceiling. Wentz is what he is now.
